That was so much fun. I'm not a doll collector, but I do have a small collection of dolls. I love the world of dolls and seeing collectors showing us their collections, it's wonderful.
Also, thank you Rachel for sharing your journey through your grief. Having lost my sister and then my mother three years later, I find it validating and helpful. It's also somewhat reassuring. Grief can be so isolating, but hearing others experiences brings some kind of comfort, well it does for me

Love the Bild Lilli! I have a red metal trunk similar to that from my childhood, early 70s. I''m not sure if it was new when I got it or was my moms or something. So fun and less tiring watching you look at everything lol

Thanks so much for sharing the Doll show! You have reignited my joy of doll collecting. I lost interest for awhile after my husband died because he was my biggest supporter. My children kept saying find a hobby when I had a hobby all along but wasn’t really supported by anyone else but my husband. I’m going back to my happy place and enjoy the love of dolls again!😊

Love that Saucy Walker. I saw her in your other video. I have the bigger one and found mine at a second hand store. Went to a wonderful doll show here in Northern California before Christmas. I think we need a spring one too. We only have three real seasons here and sometimes it is hard to tell one from another because the plants even get confused. I know what you mean about reclaiming yourself after your mom passed. My mom and I and my son's other Grandma and my Grandmas too were all close and they are all gone and I feel very alone now.

I had that Skipper "At the Fair" outfit as a child and the matching Barbie set too. I think (this was almost 60 years ago!) that Barbie's set came with cotton candy. This looks like SO MUCH FUN. Thanks for letting us get a peek.

This is the busiest doll show Ive seen! Done many shows, which have all been very slow, poor attendance. Wish I was close to Denver.
I want a Bild Lili so bad! I will even take a repro lol. So far, the closest I have is a Uneeda Doll head "Wendy". She was in rough condition and performed a reroot on her to emulate Lili 😆
I spoke with the lady who sold you the Bill Lily and she was so happy with the price you gave her.

I was at the show, but I didn't see either of you. I was just overwhelmed by all the people, I had to bail after just an hour. I ended up buying a gift for a friend and a $35 Fashion Queen for myself who cleaned up nicely, so it was worth the trip. I wish I had known that was your booth, I would have said hello.

What a phenomenal show! I would be in doll heaven. Honestly I had no idea you had a doll shop on top of being a Mom, Wife, Reseller and helper of other resellers! My goodness you are a busy lady. I SO wanted to come; would have been an easy 12 hr drive and I could have met you both and visited my brother HOWEVER, I had to attend FitnessFest on the same weekend in Phoenix. Planned and paid for that months before. I teach Aqua Fitness and was doing some certification updates. I will get over the mountain eventually. Would love to visit and/or attend another doll show. Thanks for taking this video. I probably saved a LOT OF MONEY by not going so that means that I can spend that much more in the future ;0). I collect a bunch of different dolls. Always got a Raggedy Ann every Christmas when I was little so appreciate your Mom's collection. I've also purchased Robert Tonner dolls from you guys as well as other people. I am a big collector of American Dolls so understand your brother's obsession completely AND I love Barbie and collect her; always have. My two girls do NOT care for dolls nor do my boys. My husband teases me that they are "creepy" as so many people do but they mean so much to me as do your videos. You are both a delight. Thanks for YET AGAIN making my day. Lynn

I don't think I've seen a Bild Lilli in a video before, so that was interesting. She really looks like the first Barbie. I see a similarity between Ruth Handler and Steve Jobs: steal ideas from other companies, refine the idea, and make it more popular.

Hi! I'm the one who told you it was your fault I was there... and I'm so glad I went! By the time I got home to Kiowa I was dead tired, but it was so worth it to go. So many lovely things at the show.
Part of me wishes I'd had a bigger budget for one of the Tonners, but this was a bit of a last minute thing - next time I will have had time to prepare for it. I've been wanting a Tonner for a while... so you will be seeing me again. In the meantime, I'm enjoying my Delilah Noir. In fact, while I was watching this video, I was cutting out pieces for an outfit for her... one with sort of a Faery-punk sort of vibe. Since I had a random fat quarter in my bag, she made the drive home in a leopard print sarong, but I figured she deserved a few actually sewn outfits of her own. In addition to the Faery-punk, I also have that prior leopard print cotton halfway to being a strapless cocktail dress (with bolero jacket... if I can make the decision between faux fur or pleather. Opinions?) After that, shoes. Her feet won't manage heels well, I think, but I've got an idea for low boots...
