- In this video, I will show you how to use nesting dies to make shaker cards using basic shapes such as rectangles, squares, and hexagons as well as not-so-basic shapes such as flowers, balloons, and even a Christmas Tree. You will learn how to make shaped shaker cards and how to combine basic shapes such as squares and rectangles to form a grid shaker card. You’ll learn how to create a shaker card window in the front of a card panel and lots of tips and tricks!

You can even make a flower (non-shaker) card with it. I love shaped cards and love the flower shape of it.

Question: Does your flower card fit in a A2 envelope? If not, what do you use?
Hi Deborah. I used the largest flower die for the card base of my flower shaped card. The largest die is too big to fit in an A2 size envelope. You would have to use a 6 1/2" square envelope if you are using the largest die for your card base. However, you make a smaller flower card and use the third largest die in the nested set for your card base and that one would fit in an A2 envelope.

why the powder on the acetate?
It’s called anti static powder because sequins get so staticky. I use the Simon Says Stamp one. I have heard others use a dryer sheet as well to rub on the acetate. Hope that helps!
