Chris Anderson I sanded the upper to take some of the finish off. After waxing the boots they have a shined rusty leather look. Hard to see on camera but they look really nice.
The angle this is filmed you can watch it normal and be at the guy getting his shoes cleaned point of view. Or if you watch it upside down, you're at the shoe shiners point of view
it's caused by excessive volume in that area of the shoe vs the foot. *SOME* creasing is natural and happens even with bespoke footwear, albeit very minimal. The closer the last matches the foot, the less you'll have. Some of my AEs have a lot, others on different lasts have a lot less.
Why straight to the wax on this one? I like it when the steps of adding conditioner and possibly cream are followed after the saddle soap. I'm no expert though!

Using your hands on the leather. Those sounds are great. Spray bottles and brushing saddle soap are also amazing triggers.

I never knew that shoes can be polished with bare hands using slapping, tickling and rubbing techniques as well!!
