Personally i like evans hybrid grey and evans mx5 And have the hybrid grey cranked and i mean cranked and then the mx5 slightly cranked. Oh and if you then you know always use tennis racket string.
A big problem with the suede max is that it really doesn’t project at all. My drumline normally uses black max but we decided to try suede max, and nobody could hear the snares, so we went straight back to black max.
sdjmalik Granted, we only have four snares, so the suede max might not be for a smaller line, but from our experience black Max’s project more even on an individual level
Yeah, I’m just wondering because that’s usually a common issue with snare lines in general with not just this head as you mentioned. Usually drum heads that produce a lower pitched sound will project further in distance overall.
a bit late, but in the cavaliers 2019, we tried suede max until the last 3 weeks of the season, and the switched back to black power max for the same reason. could just be because we had a small snare line that year.
Just picked up a couple of Pearl maple snares -- FFX, MMX, I can't remember. Anyway, one of them doesn't have snares and I just want to keep it a single tom. Which of the three Remo heads would be best for that application?
@@warrenoids bottom c or d5 top head is very low past the Mylar sound go 3 times around the drum just keep playing you drum until you find the sound you want. And make sure your snare guts are not bent around the bottom head it should be flat and touching.
Lmao nice I was watching the video and saw my comment and didn’t remember commenting and my little brother was like “I was the first person who watched that video”
Perfect timing, you uploaded this the same day my drumline just put these on all of our snares
My line just ordered them and we are excited for them
Personally one of the favorite heads i’ve ever played on, looks unique, sounds amazing, and my hands have never felt any better while playing.
Dude thanks so much for making this, I've been waiting ever since you hit 300 likes on the solo
The commentary is funny asf 😂😂

Best sounding drum I've heard in a while. Out of curiosity, what head do you have on the bottom?
Fallam II snare side by Remo
That stick bag tho
ours snares use theses in our line
My one dream is to be good enough to have a fun drum battle with u but I’m still far so achieve it😂
What kind of drumsticks do marching bands use? They look thick as helllllll
I'd say regular sized marching sticks are about 3x the size as a regular drum set stick
@@sdjmalik holllllly thats massive. we don't really have much of a marching band scene in Australia but goddamn I wish we did. Thanks for the reply :)
wait does your marching snare only have 1 set or snare wires on it

Man how's japan and man thats a nice snare
Ok, never mind the other comment on the other video. I found it.
