My dad helped his three children buy purebred Suffolk sheep. We showed them at the fair. In '69 a terrible May snow storm caused the death of many of my dad's sheep. We followed the fence line single file during the storm to locate the animals and move them about. It was one of the only times I saw my dad cry. Big beautiful lambs dying shortly after birth. We hadn't found the Suffolk for a couple days after the storm and I know my dad feared the worst. However, we found them safe and sound and sheltered together in one of the breaks that ran down to the river. Thanks. So enjoy the Sheep Game.
Cammy, Lizzie, and wee Bonnie out on their day date to help out with James. Great conversation. I love the sharing of knowledge among friends and helping each other. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Cammy, Bonnie is getting. Big fast. ❤️👍. So nice to see you and your family again.Lizzy looks great and is back in shape completely. Bonnie has a cute little hat also.🥰. It’s nice to have a fellow to chat with while you are working, plus you have Lizzy there as well helping you. A huge cow! Take care and seen you next time❤️❤️🥰👍
Loved this video the craic was brilliant Although I don’t know if our friends across the pond would understand the accent. Lizzie is looking radiant considering how hard she works and wee Bonnie is just so precious 😊
Kind of sad how many can't understand lol, I'm Aussie tho.. they just talk fast and mumble a bit which makes it only slightly more difficult to fully hear the words sometimes.. but I think people just need to listen better...
It didn’t matter if I could understand you or not, the banter was great. Hoping to get to Scotland to visit some of my unknown relatives!! I talk southern drawl so I just enjoy you all!
❤That was such an enjoyable video it really showcased the versatility of the Te Pari with the various sized sheep 🐑 ! Well done ! 👍 It also showcased how much easier it can make your jobs. Love Wee Bonnie so adorable 🥰
I loved every second of this 😂 I just didn't understand a word 🤣😂🤣 I set the subtext and was in stitches with what it put up. I won't give up though so will be watching this several more times. Another great one Cammy 🥰🥰
Morning Cammy, Lizzie, Bonnie and James Thank you for a great update For me, never apologise for the banter, it's brilliant, and part of the draw Into your lambing season, 1 year back, huge lambs, pneumonia etc, so gradually getting upto date Hopefully now I'm catching your latest update along with back catalogue, hoping to be caught up by new year's 😅 Take care all Back UK farmer's 🇬🇧 Geoff
This was a great video, love to see you just having a chat with a friend and speaking the way you would without a camera on! At my high school farm (Australia) we had Hampies and Texels, but the Suffolks always were my favourite! I love seeing them 🥰 Interesting to see the difference between Scottish and Aus production too - we have milder winters so we lamb down in June/July right in the middle of winter, so we have lots of grass for end of pregnancy, then the peak grass growth late winter/early spring lines up perfectly with the ewes' peak energy demand during lactation, but starting to dry up toward Summer and the lambs can guts themselves and still not scour when they're weaned! Instead of mules, we use composite or first cross ewes (Merino x Border Leicester) as maternals for prime lamb here mostly - then a Border, Poll Dorset or similar terminal ram. Much as I love the dark points on hamp, suffolk etc the black faces lose you money here. Texels are very uncommon, no BFL and a Valais ewe lamb will cost you $22,000. Very different from the Scottish sheep game!
Really enjoyed this video, took me back to childhood listening to my gran talkin to her family back in Scotland on the phone. Never did understand every word but the ease of the banter was wonderful, you don't hear conversations like that around here, thank you for that wee bit of my past😊😊 Merry Christmas to you all and I hope a good new year😊😊
Good morning from Montreal QC Canada and welcome back to Cammy ! .. and absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation documentary countryside adventure and as always beautiful upload and share adventure ! .. you guys bonded so well and doing such an amazing job ! .. and keep it up and I'm looking forward to more adventures from your video channel ! .. thanks again and best wishes and have a wonderful day ahead ! .. thanks Cammy ! ..
You guys are hilarious! You should definitely have James on more often. I understood half of what you all said though. The grass seed part is a good idea, get the crap stuff out the first year and plant the clover the second on a good base. Bonnie is getting so big! Lizzy may not be able to carry her much longer if she keeps it up. I want to suggest maybe a "Bonnie" cam to see her point of view some time, if Lizzy is up for it that is. She gets to see the beautiful scenery back there.
Really enjoyed trying to translate the conversation! Great fun with the te pari. Hope he gets one! You'll have to follow up. Nice to have another farming perspective. 🇨🇦
Your Crack is GOLD! Easy chat with a pal, blethering about this and that, farming and equipment . Great for your health. Dockens, ground elder, mares tails of fishing rods , nettles and thistles - seeds and teeny bits of tubors will as Jamsie says, lie dormant…..until they get light, water and soil. Off theygrow . Have you thought of re seeding with a green manure ? Which will be beneficial for some things, might be too rich for sheep ? Another great video. Thanks
James in desperate need of a Sheep game jacket. Great patter as well. And Christ was he quick at running. Cammy if spots not feeling well. Get James to get the sheep 🐑 in🤷♂️. 👏👍🏴
Your accent gets stronger when you're talking to your mates. I couldn't understand much of what you were saying. (I know, you don't have an accent. It's the rest of us that do!) 😂
Hi Cammie, some good banter there. Heard you were talking to my wee lassie (Caroline) the other day in the Bank of Scotland (Kilmarnock) Good big ewes those
James is wearing a very fine jacket there!! Using a tch of duct tape on it here and there, will really make it an even better standup jacket!! Lol😂🤣🤙 Bonnie is growing so fast!! She is sooo cute!! Hi Lizzy!👋 The color of your jacket and headband looks so pretty on you!😘 I had to turn on my subtitles to try and keep up to all the fast and heavy talk!😉 Merry Christmas to all!🎄🐑🐏🌟🤗❤️🇨🇦
Ha James I've just had a cake and a packet of crisp.. All of you are wearing more than 3kg of clothes and boots. You Sammy must have an extra foot in height than James..No weight shaming.Well done guy's. Bonnie is growing fast.✨💖
I don't know why all these comments about needing subtitles. No problem understanding. I'm from Canada and no UK heritage. Guess I've been watching Cammy lots!
Cammy is harder to understand when he is sparing with James. I am used to Cammy’s accent and this new accent is a strain to understand. Nice to watch an authentic interaction.
I was told a Dock can have 60k seeds per plant per year. Made me go round knocking them down. Thankfully my lot devour them. Drove by the farm in Drongan yesterday that has gone for trees. Utterly ruined, as is that land at Smithston now. Hopefully land prices settle
Loved this one, just working and chatting about everything. James seems to be a great guy.
I loved this episode and listening to Cammy and James blather on. Didn't understand every word, but that's a me problem.
That's what makes working with sheep fun when you've got someone to have great chat with.
100% Jimmy. One of the things i love about shearing and scanning. Hearing everyone experiences and ideas.
That was cool - I love just listening to the Scottish banter !!

I didn’t 😂😂😂
It's not the easiest one to understand, I do apologise!

Great video. James is a lot of fun to watch. Cheers to Lizzy and Bonnie. ❤
Awesome Video, James was brilliant fun with lots of great info thrown in. He should join you more often for the banter😂

I don’t know about a Bonnie Cam - it would get pointed at the sky, or fall off a lot like her wee toque (bobble hat) and accidentally stepped on.
@patpierce4854 true.
Great to see Bonnie looking very bonny!! The old filing cabinet in the background made me chuckle!!🤣
James is very entertaining to listen to. Even understood 95% of what he said. And yes, Bonnie is so good in her carrier with mom.
Another great one! Loved this style of video! Thank you!
Wonderful video! Sweet Bonnie always makes the videos perfection!❤❤❤

So hilarious! I can't understand a word when the two gentlemen are talking to each other! It's ok though-I think they are talking sheep.
There are Subtitles for most all videos > Go to 'Settings' > 4th from the right (bottom) > Chick Subtitles. ✔ HAha.
That’s great craic with James, it’s a shame we couldn’t understand what you were saying when you were having so much craic. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm so glad it wasn't just me! I almost needed sub titles 🤣🤣
Me too for the subtitles!!😂
The subtitles were guessing and much gibberish!
Your accent gets stronger when you're talking to your mates. I couldn't understand much of what you were saying. (I know, you don't have an accent. It's the rest of us that do!) 😂
@@debrah7548 Haha. The gibberish subtitles are hilarious!
Cammie, you are not serious about your Christmas tree. 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Ooo I like those black face sheep. Very beautiful.
Excellent great patter 🎉🎉🎉
James is a legend😂
James is right, Bonny is incredibly good. Alert but quiet in her back pouch. Examples of good parenting skills from Lizzy
The Scottish thistle is legendary
Can't wait til Bonnie is not a passenger, and running around with the boys...❤️🇨🇦🍁

What he's saving on the jacket he can put towards buying a tapari
Bonnie needs a Fargo hat chinstrap and all!
Baby oil....but Coconut oil is much better....for the scalp. Let it soak in. (I had to use this on my baby daughter, when I brushed her hair)
Bonnie is such a beautiful baby
❤ 22 minutes of pure dead brilliance!
I don't know why all these comments about needing subtitles. No problem understanding. I'm from Canada and no UK heritage. Guess I've been watching Cammy lots!

Fantastic
I'd be lost without close captioning for this episode.
😂
It’s doing well if it can keep up lol
Getting after it
Did James say he put Urea on the grass after Christmas ?? Couldn’t quite make that out - good video as always 👍
There are Subtitles for most all videos > Go to 'Settings' > 4th from the right (bottom) > Chick Subtitles. ✔ HAha.
I sure hope they are Not spraying 'weed killer.' ( I believe most people around the world have stopped using that Toxin.)
6:16 I've just realized why your hoodie is pink. 😂
I was told a Dock can have 60k seeds per plant per year. Made me go round knocking them down. Thankfully my lot devour them.
