Yes, I would happily watch a series called going nowhere on a Honda Trail. It inspires me because it's something I could actually do myself, if I was motivated enough. If I dropped a big bike, I could never get it back up without help. Going slow and smelling the wild flowers is more my speed.
+1
It's what I've started doing on my TW200 and my UBCO 2x2 (all-wheel-drive).
The adage “It’s the journey not the destination” is the essence of our travels to “Nowhere”👍
I'd watch any video you produced! The storytelling is superb and the cinematography is second to none!
I love this kind of motorcycle riding. Exactly why I'll never part with my TW200! Getting older and arthritis in hands slowing me down. A little dual sport and a little Tylenol and on my way!!😊
Exactly..have a xr650 but find myself taking the little xt225 more and more..it's just easier to deal with when I'm out solo...
I'm so glad you're back making videos. The joy you are rediscovering on this little bike really comes through 😊
You have way too much fun Sterling! An idea: intersperse these "Going Nowhere" videos in and around some of your regular series' as extras. They are quite enjoyable!
Speed and power don’t directly equate to fun! Anything that easily lets you explore is awesome.
Yes please! It would also be great if you could add some of the camping aspect to the vids. Getting back to the van, cooking dinner over the fire and mixing up a cocktail. Happy trails!
Sterling, you can take any bike and any trip and make it a great and interesting adventure. Thank you for keeping it entertaining! When I want to learn how it's done, I watch your videos.
You say you only traveled about 60 miles but stopped several times for interviews and camera placements. That's a lot of work.
I hope to see more videos in the Going Nowhere series.
Honda needs to pick you up! Haven’t seen a better representation of the utility of one of these little bikes. Now I need one.
Going nowhere? I'm in! ❤️🏍️
Would I watch a Going Nowhere series of Sterling riding the Honda 125 on little adventure jaunts?
Yes. Yes. Yes. YES! Oh HELL yes!
There isn't much I'd rather do.
It's finally 70F here so my friends and I are riding tomorrow - the first ride of almost spring.
Thanks for taking us along😃👍
"going nowhere" love it. you don't need a 500+lb adventure bike to have fun. you are proving that!! great job.
I would watch a series of going nowhere. Awesome quality productions you make, I’d probably watch anything motorbike and camping related that you do 👍
Great idea for a series. Looking forward to more of your adventures on the Honda Trail!
Hi Sterling,
We met a few years back at the Jonquil. You were installing a new battery in your GS. I was on a T7. My wife and I spent a month camping where you were and did the same ride! So much fun! We also continued to Aqua Prieta MX. love your new series as that is what we usually do. Base in a nice spot and do loop rides all over the area. Hope your hand is feeling better. Keep up the great content!
It’s great to see someone on an affordable motorcycle doing rides that appeal to us mere mortals!
Would I watch a series about going nowhere? That's a resounding yes! If anyone can pull that off, it would certainly be you. Cheers, from Canada. I hope your hand is healing well. That looked nasty.
Going Nowhere, simple, inspiring, and obtainable for a newbie. Good kickoff to a new series I’ll watch on your channel.
Absolutely, it's more about the journey than the destination 😊
Yes , going nowhere would be an awesome series. Love it !!! , especially in that part of the country. Thanks again for another great video.
Mark from Maryland
Great job Sterling! Look forward to additional episodes in this series.
I absolutely love your new idea of “Going Nowhere”! Really experience the surroundings instead of blasting through trying to make miles in a day.
Look forward to meeting you at your Rally next month!!
Glad to see you back out and about making content. For alot of is 9 to 5 er’s “going nowhere“ adventures are all that we get have. Your videos and your commentary make even the simplest local adventure interesting and entertaining. A true inspiration to us all.
I’ve got a 1980 CT110 that I take on trips like this whenever I can. Unlike most retro bikes, the CT125 actually managed to maintain the style and functionality that the old ones had. I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
Love love love the trail bike videos! 6:38 is simply a great shot!!! Keep em coming, we’ll be watching.
I think you would have no trouble finding viewers for a Going Nowhere series. A nice mix of riding, great scenery and local history from the saddle of a little bike sounds great.
Sure, I would watch it, it is what we all do in life really😂 every ride on a small bike is an adventure
going nowhere is still an adventure Love the scenery its way cool what you are doing
Yes, I’m in!
Not every ride has to be an epic one in order to be great!
Thanks!
Going Nowhere sounds like something I'd happily binge on a rainy weekend. So please, YES, make the series n 💜
Excited for more Going Nowhere episodes. Love watching you ride while I am shoveling snow. Thank you for giving me something to look forward too.
I’d love another great series. Keep em coming, thanks for the stories and wonderful scenery.
I'd watch Going Nowhere. Your videos are always interesting. When I was kid we had the original honda 90 version with a dual range transmission. It was meant for my Mom but i rode it the most. Perfect bikes for plunking around. Good memories.
Going Nowhere was great fun ! I spent the winter of 2023 near Willcox, AZ. We rode all the roads and areas you covered. It was great fun to relive those memories with your video. Keep them coming.
Why yes Sterling.....I will happily watch this series!!
Very enjoyable and hope it does become a series in your future video production. This type of content is appealing and enjoy to various routes I could image me taking when traveling to this part of the country. I would enjoy the combo of your Van camping and day rides to various locations as well.
Love it! Bring on Going Nowhere episode 2.
I really enjoyed “ going nowhere “. Don’t be surprised if I steal, for the back of my camper. This should be a great series !
Don
Please make more Going Nowhere videos, these are the types of rides most people do.
Different bikes sometimes would also be interesting to see the trade offs about how much more challenging with something heavier but more comfortable. Middlemarch looks like a great road for my skill set and 1150GS. Thanks for the videos!
King of the B-roll... You go Sterling!
Great story telling, shots and soundtrack. And motorcycles to boot, love your stuff. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for taking us along...I will definitely watch Going Nowhere.
Going smaller and nowhere much is my plan for ‘24. Base camp and explore. I’ll be watching!
Maybe you could make a camera grab n "Go Nowhere" a part of every episode. Excited for the potential of this new series!
I sure like your idea of "going nowhere". I rode Middlemarch one time on my 800GS and it was all I wanted on that bike. I think, after watching your video that Ricardo was off the route because I remember a section of steep, rocky downhill on the east side of the pass.
Absolutely LOVED this video!!! We have explored soooo many of those road Sterling. My heart is forever in AZ. Hope to never leave.
Love the idea of your series to “Nowhere”
Can’t wait
Cheers 🍻
So much to explore in your part of AZ.
Wherever you go - there you are !
The “grab and snatch” shot was 🔥! I’m really enjoying the Honda Trail content. 👍
100% would watch "Going to nowhere"! I am anxiously waiting for drier weather here in Aberdeen, Washington to ride my newly purchased VStrom 1000👍😀
Hilarious. A series of one episode. Riding out and returning to the start is a circle in cowboy lingo.
I love your Trail 125 videos. It's just such a cool little bike - adventure without pretense. I like to go slow and enjoy the ride. I mostly ride for the natural solitude and scenery. I prefer back roads where I'm fully in the natural environment but I can relax and remain seated as I wind through the world, going nowhere. I like to follow along on a moving map as I watch these videos. It helps to connect me to your adventures. It looks like this is part of the Coronado National Forest, so I could camp there?
YES!
We’ll be there in April…..2024…at Desert ADV! 18:39
Yup. Bring it on!
Great idea, love all the videos regardless of the bike. Really motivates me to come back down to Southern AZ to ride.
I’d watch every episode
100% would watch a series about going nowhere. 😁
Love the series idea. Go explore, doesn't always have to be A to B.
The kid said it all- probably the coolest thing you could do is go out that way… to nowhere and beyond, looking forward to the next round!
Probably the smartest thing I could think of 😂
Going Nowhere. I like it. That makes up a majority of my rides in this area. Leave the house and go on roads like Middlemarch, Montezuma Pass, etc. Somehow they all just lead back home. I have a friend coming in today and was thinking about taking him over Middlemarch. I think you just cemented that thought.
Love your videos. Really like that you interviewed a few people in this video along the way. And the only thing I love more than the Going Nowhere idea is the banter about it that you had in your own head as you were riding. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome, thank you! I love connecting with random people along the way.
Yes I am watching it now and it is interesting.
Yes. Going no where. Joy’s in the journey, bro. Thx
Hell yes let's Go Nowhere!
Absolutely would enjoy watching you going nowhere some more!
Love your videos Sterling!
Watching from Ireland 🇮🇪
Great name Sterling .
Just love your work
Well done as always ! I love the Tombstone and Bisbee areas. I can't wait to get back down there in May!
Going anywhere on a Honda Trail 125.
Don’t underestimate that little bike. Just saying.
Yep, happy to ride along on a series called Going Nowhere. !
I like the sign, I actually will be at this lower location in October ...no biking there ....... I love the ride with the small bike Alain & Yellow ( love the idea of slow riding and looking at scenery and history)
Looking forward to doing Middle March rd when me and my buddy Bob come down for the 4TH ANNUAL DESERT ADVENTURE RALLY!!! Looks awesome! 🎉
Sterling
Simply EPIC! When I was there, Tombstone was a must see for me. The real West History just oozes there. It is a Real Place in our American History. I loved taking it in.
I also rode to the Middle March Road because of the History there. I started up to China Peak but because I was alone, and I didn't know the area, got scared and I turned around half way up. The next time I'm at the rally, I will finish what I started if I have a riding partner. Or....I'm going to STEAL your 125 for the day! Let's find out at the rally in April! LOL!
Sterling you are the Best! Thank you for all you do.
Ride SAFE and BE safe Sir! 👍👍
Cool! Looking forward to seeing you at the rally!
Hi Stirling, watching from Cape Town South Africa. Like to watch your series and yes would like to see one of Going Nowhere. 👍
Enjoyed going nowhere with ya! Honestly, that’s where all my motorcycle rides go. It’s just a therapy session.
You are speaking my language! My son was in a wreck in Arizona in 2023, and it has slowed me down dramatically. I've gone from big bikes to small Cc bikes, and I'm loving the experience. It just wants you to be present, to be thoughtful, and to relax. I love that experience right now much, and loving this content. The toxicity that has entered the adventure riding community is par for the course.
Thank you so much
17:44 Yep, I like Grabin Snatch... 😂🤣 See ya on the next episode... 👍
Going nowhere! Love it. What an awesome name for a whole series. Yes, it does sound unambitious but isn't that the point? That's probably the reason most of us ride is to get away from all of the "ambitious" stuff we do the rest of the time!
We'd watch that!😊
I would definitely watch it Sterling! I am really enjoying these videos!
...even in a Jeep or a SxS one would be "crawling" around on many of those trails.
"Going Nowhere" and enjoying it...!!!
Hey...yeah....more....cool little adventures.....All the best from Canada.
Yes great series
Love it, would definitely watch the series, hope it will become one.
I'm surprised you didn't just head on down to Ushuaia. What's another 6439 miles ! 😊
Great video Sterling 👍👍
Going nowhere. Perfect. Do it every chance I get.
Greetings from Benson, AZ. I have been to some of those places. Thanks for the great video!!
Love it. Southern AZ has so much fantastic riding. It is a great winter destination.
Love your chats with folks passing through too. They think they’re going somewhere, but you’re a bit wiser. #GoingNowhere ✨🏜️
See I would never think in wiser im just a traveler and this was one fun job on life that iv done
I'm the gunfighter in the beginning
Love the 'going nowhere' concept Sterling. Bring it on!
Great ride out Sterling, the guy at the beginning didn’t look like or sound a typical gunslinger! Enjoyed your choice of soundtrack too 🇬🇧
As you said: With such a small bike it's about picking the line and keep it flowing. It's not about grunt, not at all. But hey, what fun such a small bike is. Going nowhere is a good title. Great scenery, great music. Cheers form Nürnberg/Germany, Günter
Sterling: I REALLY like "going nowhere". Going nowhere?....not really, it's all "personal progress". I've followed your video work back to Middle Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route. Great stuff. Great bike choice for solo exploring from a camper basecamp. Keep it up, maybe come east for MABDR, and NEBDR based exploring, or add-ons or loops off all the California based BDR's.
Absolutely loved this Sterling!! Hopefully the first of many "Going Nowhere" jaunts on the Trail 125. 👍
I hope so too!
GOING NOWHERE is the perfect name for this series Sterling! I can’t wait to see more. And I love smaller bikes, it really shows you don’t need huge hp numbers and tons of suspension travel to have fun! I ride a CB500X, tour on it as well as off road, and have never had a problem doing it!
I have a bunch of videos riding my CT110 alongside my buddy riding his CT125 - Those bikes are sooooo fun. Looks like the CT was a great companion along your trip!
Some of my favorite places in the world were discovered by "going nowhere " I look forward to the upcoming adventures.
What a great way to explore the amazing scenery.
My ex still lives in Pearce. I think going nowhere is a perfect summation. I've spent multiple years exploring the areas you were in today. I finally had to go somewhere ... else. Undoubtedly one of the most unique spaces and places in America though. Glad I spent quite a bit of time there. The is a whole underside to the area you should check out too: the people who choose it as home. That is mindblowing. Spend some time up in the Stronghold. Lots of stories and a few people still up there.
