A video from our Laid Back Cycles spring meetup ride out of Folsom Lake Natoma Fish Hatchery along the Sacramento River bike trails. This shows quite a few different styles of flags on trikes
I was (and still am, I guess) a believer of “lots ‘o lights and flags”. However, after being hit (and HPVelotechnik Scorpion being trashed by an inattentive driver who just HAD to cut the corner AND SAVE A SECOND, I’ve come to realize that there aren’t enough lights and flags to get SOME drivers to pay attention ! So, now, I’m leaning towards outfitting my next trike with REACTIVE ARMOR!
Hey Richard I agree with you and I outfitted our trikes (the checkered flag ones in the video) with 12-volt emergency lights for fire and police vehicles. I installed blue in the rear thinking that it smacked of cops rather than a bike and it would garner more attention. Most trikers think they are great.
Great video
