I'm only disappointed that Ben didn't say he'd remember Poop every time he heard a fart, and that we didn't see Poop give a little splashback in the lava and hear a faint "Pfwaaaah" coming from below.
For some reason this resonates with me. I've had some players who made joke annoying characters, got bored halfway and turned those characters into the most iconic memorable ones in my games.
Oh I do it on purpose, not bored. My *FAVORITE* trope is the comic relief being a secret badass, nearly all my characters have a silly bit to them, but they become the heart of the group and everyone loves them because they aren't just the hero physically, but the hero of their hearts.
I had a similar experience to this. I was the dm of a season with some of my good friends. It was home brew and I was quite proud of the campaign that I had made. Keep in mind, I made a lot of extremely fun changes that increased the difficulity of it. I had 7 players, and most were fairly simple. However, there was this one bard in the party who had chosen chaotic good as their allignment. They had the most crazy and weird character one could possibly imagine. It was to the point where the party was tempted to abondan them(several times), but each time the parties drunk holy knight talked them out of it. So fast forward several months later, the team was doing amazing. Too good so I decided to pull some strings for a fun twist. I had made a custom item a couple sessions prior(specifically for a bard). It was a ukulele that I named 'The string of whispers'. I kitted this thing out, giving it a different type of summoned monster based on the roll of a D100. It costed hit points to use, so it couldn't be spammed either. But back to the story, I chose to summon one of the big bad's pets that I had prepared. It was a Grand Storm Dragon. Mind you, the party was not supposed to win. I expected them to run. However, mid retreat, the arch wizard of the party rolled a Nat 1 on one of their spells, so I caused it to where it blocked one route of escape. 5 of the members were at safety except two. The enchantress and the bard. The enchantress was similar to bens character towards the bard, where she believed she would never care for his character. Man, no joke stands up to the dragon and uses string of whispers. Mind you(He hasn't succeeded in rolling higher than a 40 with this things) and I kid you not, man rolls a 99. I decided to give him a chance and summoned an undead dragon to aid him. Man sacrificed himself to buy time for the party to escape. When they finally beat the big bad guy, they built a memorial in place for the greatest Bard to ever live, Dikus Maxim.
I'm so glad I read to the end of this, that is a campaign that won't ever be forgotten. Yeah, I thought the same thing as I watched the video. He had some stupid names but everything else showed that he definitely took the game seriously. I've played with some 'LolRandomIMSoFunny' guys before and those REALLY ruin games.
A cinematic master piece. Ben really killed it on the acting in the volcano. Alan showed such a wide range of talent. I only saw the short on facebook and was so pumped to see an extened cut. I want a short story of their journey.
The fact that you guys are able to make this silly, hammy, over-the-top D&D skit so relatable and emotionally connected is why I love VLDL channel. Great job 👍🏽 all!
The mount doom setting was fantastic .. Bards will sing heroic songs of the effort and might taken to hold that dangling poop from the lava before slipping majestically away.. I just hope there was no splash back.
Ok, so this right here is how I know that even if I had the talent, I don't have the drive to be an actor. What you guys do looks like a lot of gratifying fun, but id be way to embarrassed even stepping onto a set, let alone wear a costume, to participate. Kudos to you and all of your hard work.

As always you all did a great job on the skit. Alan killed it tho. The eyes, the small twitches of his cheeks / mouth, the way he spoke......hilariously good.
Those type of characters always end up becoming the most dedicated character to the lore and many legend and deep stories will be made in his bame making him the most beloved character this group ever had It's the silliness that somehow make those characters so valuable
The vldl have hosted quality comedic and dramatic content for years, yet my favourite sketch of all time manages to eclipse all of that with a fart joke. Genius.
This is one of the best episodes of anything you have ever done (and believe me that is saying something for me because I watch all your series), this was just fantastic, Bravo!👏👏👏
We currently have a player with a smelly little swamp goblin cleric named Noober that uses rotten onions as a healing salve for his spells. Intelligence of 6 and does stupid stuff constantly. With in six sessions the whole campaign started revolving around this character and its great.
I loved this episode. Alan's acting was magnificent, and the LOTResque ending was magnificent. If I ever compile a VLDL classic hits list on reddit, this video will be on it.

I know the whole joke is that "Oh, Alan isn't taking the campaign seriously!" But he has come up with a pretty detailed and by the book back story and it's just as serious as the rest. Just the names are a joke, which is why by the end, everyone loves his character.
Did you miss the 69th legion?
@@dascandy that is, in fact, a name, and in no way invalidates the point being made. My guy in the OP even put an s on it. Names, not name.
The ironic thing is there are some people out there was goofy sounding names.
That, and it's the script they wrote.
Yeah, I thought the same thing as I watched the video. He had some stupid names but everything else showed that he definitely took the game seriously. I've played with some 'LolRandomIMSoFunny' guys before and those REALLY ruin games.
the production quality is insane, you guys have been my favorite channel on youtube for a while now xD
GOOD LORD WAS THAT ENDING CINEMATIC! Beautifully done gentlemen!
His family has got to be the ones who made Bodger's Ring, surely. Canon?
I so want that to be canon 😁
House Mcdinglefart long-standing nemesis of the Fantasmos
You're totally right! I can't imagine it not be!
I can hear perfectly fine.
I always watch these videos with subtitles.
They never disappoint.
The mount doom setting was fantastic .. Bards will sing heroic songs of the effort and might taken to hold that dangling poop from the lava before slipping majestically away.. I just hope there was no splash back.
Their effects keep getting better and better.
thats the best D&D i have ever seen. Thank you, Poop McDinglefart. U shall forever stay in my heart
I am that guy. And I am not even sorry, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be.
Poop McDinglefart forevuhhhhh!
Настолько хорошо играете свои роли, что за несколько секунд драматической вставки в юмористическом скетче смогли выбить из меня слезу, красавчики :)
I was fully engrossed in Poop McDInglefart. Alan was splendid in this role and the small farts were hilarious. Well done!
Holy, the cgi is soooo goood❤
Thank you! We put a lot of effort into it 😂
Wait, they didnt filmed that in a real volcano?!
@@VivaLaDirtLeague how about to add cgi like that to real campaign? :)
@@arkbuble I think they were talking about the tavern at the start? The volcano is obviously real.
@@VivaLaDirtLeague Some effart too.
The quality on these videos are incredible! Well done guys!🎉
I just love everything VLDL makes. Alan and Ben were amazing in this one, incredible acting.
Alan's delivery has me rolling 😂
Wow! Seriously awesome effects at the end...brings a tear to my eye on how much this channel and its great team have evolved. 🎉🎉. Fantastic skit also. Well done all!
can we all take a moment to admire the FX? They are getting better and better and the quality is getting to newer levels that we never expected to see years ago...
Im so proud of VLDL
As always you all did a great job on the skit.
Alan killed it tho. The eyes, the small twitches of his cheeks / mouth, the way he spoke......hilariously good.
The visuals on that volcano scene, WOW. You guys are absolutely refining your craft! Well done and good work!
Those type of characters always end up becoming the most dedicated character to the lore and many legend and deep stories will be made in his bame making him the most beloved character this group ever had
It's the silliness that somehow make those characters so valuable
Rewatching the DnD campaign to remember lost things and it’s so freakin funny how bob has to make death saving throws the first 4 fights 😂
Alan making the Batman pose, and then squeezes his fist seriously, and then says “my name, is poop dinglefart” 💀
The vldl have hosted quality comedic and dramatic content for years, yet my favourite sketch of all time manages to eclipse all of that with a fart joke. Genius.
These teeth / wig completely change Alan, almost unrecognisably! Kudos to the ever-improving wardrobe team.
The production quality is really getting good. Love it.
This is one of the best episodes of anything you have ever done (and believe me that is saying something for me because I watch all your series), this was just fantastic, Bravo!👏👏👏
Greg’s haircut is more offensive than his name.
0:58 I just started to laugh when I heard the bass drop, also the fart sound at the end. 😂😂😂
We currently have a player with a smelly little swamp goblin cleric named Noober that uses rotten onions as a healing salve for his spells. Intelligence of 6 and does stupid stuff constantly. With in six sessions the whole campaign started revolving around this character and its great.
Goblins are the best ^ ^
PERFECT Goblin name, I NEED to steal it XD
I loved this episode. Alan's acting was magnificent, and the LOTResque ending was magnificent. If I ever compile a VLDL classic hits list on reddit, this video will be on it.
At least Poop McDinglefarts isn’t one of those ridiculous names riddled with apostrophes.
I'm so impressed by Alan's acting in this one 😂
Holy crap, ( pun intended ) The production quality on these has gone through the roof. Long may it continue. All Hail McDinglefart
This is like the alternative version to XP to Level 3 one with Cumwagon the Fartgotten
He was truly the best, and most inspirational. May the memory of Poop forever linger in our hearts.
Technically Ben's character lost his sh*t twice during that campaign
Give these two an award for the most comedic but tragic and emotionally impactful scene.
From Mountain to Mountain, folks round here tend to grin Cheek to Cheek when the praise of Poop. His stories are tightly woven coils into the deepest depth of our history.
The character development in this is honestly pretty good. VLDL knocking it out if the park as usual
Glad you got your studio backing, the effects match the hilarity and acting now!
This one goes on the top shelf; well done VLDL
Listen, when he brought up the 2nd cataclysm, he sold me on it. I would ran with poop in my party. 😂
