  • So I received 3 different piles of swarf from 3 different people so thought I’d melt it all down on the one video that’s why there’s 4 melts today, this obviously isn’t gold they are just gold bar replicas but they look absolutely awesome and they feel nice and chunky I also do a few coins and ingots and they all came out absolutely beautifully with perfect Mirror sides. Today I do three different styles of casting and opencast single sided sand mold my normal graphite mold as well as a double sided sand casting mold.

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it??????.
    ****************************************************
    STEEL FOR MY FRIEND
I keep all my steel and cast iron pieces and I give them to my friend and once he gets about a tonne from me and his own collecting he takes that to the scrapyard and sells it then he buys some beer and comes over to my house and we make a night of it.
No My friend doesn’t have a TH-cam channel he just scraps metal in his spare time.

Guess someone else discovered the AMSR but it all comes together to be completely amazing that I become transfixed. Believe so many do that they forget to obliterate that like button.

Demanding the daily blood sacrifice of women and children to ensure that the sun rises every morning. Only to have a massive rebellion of all mighty non-believer tribes who unite for the first time, setting aside their cultural differences and overthrow the Gold Priests and sack the golden Temple thus descending humanity into a darker ages. Honestly I prefer the open sand casting, it just seems to have a better shape and look to it. Nothing wrong with graphite casting, but to me open sand just looks and feels nicer. Though, as a challenge, i want to see you cast copper or bronze in a limestone mold. Read that's how it was done in ancient Greece and I just want to see if it'd still work today.

Burglar 2: "how do you know?"
Burglar 1: "They say "Fine Gold 999.9, 1000g!"
Burglar 2: "Grab them and get out of here!"
*Later at lair* Burglar 2: "I just googled it. That's like $200 grand of gold we got!"
*Next day* Precious metal buyer: "Um, I'll give you $10 for the whole lot."
