You can tune your props with your ears by hearing them sing in tune or out of tune. It's as easy as pie. I like this lady pilot. She is so in touch with her aircraft. A lady pilot saved my life one time flying into an airport when she spotted and errant aircraft and tipped her wing back to level just in time to avoid a deadly accident. She was completely aware of her surroundings and it saved our lives. God bless our lady pilots.

@@agustinenzoa4447 Nice rule of thumb for all non-pilots is "keep your yap shut on approach". No that wasn't her BF, I believe that was the guy working for the Turtle Rescue.
@@agustinenzoa4447 the “guy” in the back is my husband. He had a tough time hearing the communications on the radio because he had a bad set of headset.

My wife and I were in Marathon the 1st week of December a year ago. We road bikes around the perimeter of that airport. Our motel was under final approach. Good time before Covid hit. Thanks for the Vlog!

Nice job Val and Steve9 great music and effects just before the flight. Val does a great job of corralling the Barons twin turbos. Makes it look easy and everyone likes having a co pilot willing to share the flying duties.
Technically, those were the fastest turtles in the world.
The rabbits never had a chance.
While the Hare took the bus, the Turtle won the race.

SRQ is my home airport, funny to hear the familiar ATC voice on your channel. Mote is a great organization and anyone that is in the area should take a tour. They do amazing work for our wildlife. Thank you Steveo for all you do. Merry Christmas!!

Another great video and another nostalgic view of Florida, and particularly Sarasota where we spent many years on vacation as a family including visits to the Mote Aquarium to see Manatees recovering from injury. So important to help protect these endangered species.

Everyone is wearing Chart it All masks! I have one too. Yeah, 32", 24 RPM are pretty typical cruising numbers for turbo-charged light aircraft. I once flew a turbo Arrow and we generally cruised at 33" as well. And even though it makes perfect sense, I never thought about using the phone cam to synch the props! I'll have to try that on my next twin flight.
Definitely a cool little trick.

There are a lot of videos that fly through the TPA/SRQ airspace and each video I hear the call sign 3SP (Skyhawk) and I get to relive the 21 hours I flew that plane for my part 141 IFR course at the most expensive flight school in the Hillsbough/Manatee county area.
What a phenomenal thing to do stevo next time I come over to Florida from the UK I'll stop in the key's such a beautiful place, respect to you both.

I thought sea turtles couldn’t handle the pressure of flying, what I mean by that is the altitude. I thought you had to stay lower. Seen something similar on animal planet and they couldn’t fly above like 3500 ft. I guess they were just fine you had the turtle guy with you so....but it makes my heart happy to see those beautiful animals get the help and care they deserve, you sir and your young lady friend are truly what this world needs right now. God Bless the both of you.

I live in SRQ and Ive bumped into him several times at the grocery store (Publix). He's seems like a very nice man.

It's not only turtles that benefit from general aviation. I have a niece who get's a medical transport flight once a week for her treatments on the Angle Flight program. It cost her family nothing and without it, she would be a goner. So if you have a plane and some free time (and money) you can volunteer to help a patient somewhere in need. And I believe if you meet all the qualifications you can use the flight as a deduction. A win/win for all involved.
Really enjoy the video and especially the views of Sarasota and the Mote. I’m stuck in Canada this year and miss being there. I’ve been a mote volunteer for over 12 years and they do fantastic work. Stay safe

Those turtles gotta remember to paddle down to NY. 😊 We were experiencing mild temps up until a week ago.
@@MaShcode weather has been crazy the past few years very out of the norm this year birds were getting confused in migration because the weather was changing back and forth cold warm cold warm probably messed up a lot of migrating animals. Glad people like these are looking out for them.
@@Bendigo1 very true, the normal migration patterns timed with the food chain cycles is highly disturbed due to weather, water salinity and temps

Stevo, I don’t have a pilot’s license, but I have watched a lot of your videos and I have a copy of MSFS2020. I live close to an airport. We had a snowstorm, so with the live weather in MSFS2020, I decided to see what it was like to fly the TBM in a snowstorm. I came in for an ILS landing and boy that was interesting! As I was coming in, I couldn’t see anything! I forgot to check the airport’s elevation. I knew I was getting low and I was wondering if I entered the correct altimeter. 😬😬😬 I finally popped through the clouds at what had to be close to minimums and I was lined up with the runway on a good slope shortly before the runway. The ILS system worked! 😀😀😀 And when I asked ATC to depart VFR to the west, they denied my request saying the conditions were IFR only. 🤣😂 I had to try.
Thanks for sharing! It’s been awhile since I’ve flown a piston let alone over south Florida! Know RSW and SRQ areas well, lots of memories!!
