    Oh I need these tips. I feel like the little casual things we say in real life are harder for me because we are just taught more formal forms of conversations. I could use some tips on ending a conversation too! I pretty much always just say "nos vemos" But could use more!

    • @TellMeInSpanishEng

      They're harder for all us because, like you said, we're just taught too formally 😓So, don't worry, I'll be creating more content like this, with real-life expressions 😊

    Cómo te va, Dan? Espero que muy bien. Why is there not an "a" in front of mis papas, su esposa, etc? Me gusta cómo sigues, cómo siguen...Cómo se encuentra y te encuentras. Respuestas, de lujo y a todo dar. Estas palabras son nuevas.

      ¡Qué gusto saber de ti, querida amiga! 🥰 Todo bien, ¿y tú? Es para mantener el significado, si decimos 'seguir a', estamos diciendo 'to follow' :)

    i didn't know that lelo means dummy or stupid!!! I'm in Unit 5 (section 30 -Passing Things Around) in your course and just learned why you gotta use se in that instance..... it's amazing how much i've already improved since i started your course, i don't even think i get confused anymore by podcasts or videos using double pronouns and the IOP's and DOP's i can now "mostly" use the right ones without even thinking about it. Soy mexicano hasta los huesos !!!!! And i don't know if i mentioned it before but i got "MEXICO" tattooed on my left side ribs vertically, it is about 10 inches tall, and that is in addition to my Dia de Los Muertos tattoo that goes from my left shoulder to my elbow.... I did those back in September 2023 as motivation to keep pressing ahead, thinking i would be a total idiot to have Mexico tattooed on me and can't even speak spanish, lol..... in fact i think i should maybe change my profile pic...... hasta luego maestra, cuidate !!!!!

      Jajajajajajaja me reí un montón con la historia de los tatuajes 😂 Hey, I think it's a great motivation... a little unorthodox, but I think it works 😂 ¿En serio? It's so good to hear that you're not struggling with those pronouns anymore! That really makes my day 😊 You should come to Mexico, my Mexican friend from another country.

      @@TellMeInSpanishEng I'm gonna travel the whole complete country of mexico at some point. Since i can't safely take my truck (because American plates will get you robbed and/or kidnapped), i think I'm gonna be taking a bus around the country once my Spanish is good enough. We have a little mexican place on Cherokee Street in St. Louis filled with mexican tiendas (ropa, comida, panederias) and I'm gonna start getting over there a lot more once spring arrives because they all speak spanish as their native language. My new passport is ready and waiting for my spanish to get to what i consider an acceptable level, which for me just means basically that i can understand everything people are saying. I getting there but still have some more work to do.

    My favorite expression is ¿Qué tal?, mainly because I can not figure out what "tal" means. Can you give us an intuitive definition for "tal" ?

    • @TellMeInSpanishEng
      @TellMeInSpanishEng  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, my friend 🙉, 'tal' is one of those little annoying words that is used in many expressions. As a result, its meaning varies. I might shoot a video showing some of these common expressions.
