Michael, this is one of the best cover versions of any song I've ever heard in my life -- it's up there w/ Hendrix's version of Watchtower or Jeff Beck's version of So We've Ended as Lovers... The minor mistakes in the midst of so much virtuosity just give it a bit more human feel.... I am a huge fan of Buckethead and Soothsayer (once listened to the latter 30+x in a row while in a, shall we say, heavily altered state) and would not have thought any cover of Soothsayer could really match the mind-expanding/heart-expanding power of the original, but you may have done it, taking the melodic themes in a few fundamentally novel directions with the extra gliding/swooping power the violin gives.... What we need now is you and Bucket live-jamming this together... well maybe in 2021 once the plague has receded! Thanks for keeping on creating awesome music year on year like you do man, I'm sure there have been a lot of challenges ...

Can't help but picture how much better this song would be to play on guitar hero, and in particular this version. I'd overlistened to soothsayer a bit but this is a pure revitalization of dem feels xD
For this I had a complete freedom. Sweet Child had many specific melodies and parts that I had to follow. Technically I always do the best I can in every song I play. For Soorhsayer I had to build a dynamic, and for sweet child - the challenge was to keep it recognizable.

And yeah I guess in sweet child o'mine you had to build all the layers and melodies, vocalls, guitar solos, bass, rhythm.. so it's more work to do and more roles to record. But here its a lot about the dynamics and the improvising skills. But it's easy to hear a high level technique on both, thank you for doing your best, it's amazing
