I have the same screen. The left side of the screen is very clear but the text on the right side is not very clear. I have pictures, can you comment on this?
W David, you're probably long gone, but I'm guessing that 4-pin rectifier he pulled. You'd just need to look up the part number and find one that meets the voltage/current rating with that same footprint and pinout. Might even be worth bumping that up a notch if they cheaped out and used something that could barely handle the job (why did it pop?). The video could use a little more detail as to what the symptoms were and how you went about determining that the rectifier was the culprit, as well as explaining how or why you do some of the other stuff in it. -take care
