  • Ring psychology is one of the most important elements in professional wrestling, and Kenny Omega and his return to AEW and the world of professional wrestling has highlighted this fact even further. How important do you find ring psychology? For me, it's at the top of the list.

    He's my all time favorite. The amount of perfectly interwoven stories he's been involved in for over a decade and the countless classic matches. Golden Lovers, Okada, Bullet Club, The Hangman story in AEW, etc.. His entire career has been the best long term storytelling you could ask for.

      @@stunnerkingdom7434 Absolutely I’ve been really enjoying Danielson time in AEW and he’s in his 40s which is insane but Omega is number one for me. Also awesome video appreciate the details you told about Omega’s ways of telling stories not really mention to often.

      @brenanholston6389 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it kinda’ worked both ways. On one hand, NJPW gave him the stage to succeed on that high level, while on the other hand, Kenny did put on some great matches and appealed to the Japanese audience a lot.

    The one thing I get that AEW does is the blood. A lot of people say “TOO MUCH!” But to me, it makes sense. It’s usually spots where blood makes way more sense than not seeing it. And I think the trend was always blood in spots, but if you’re trying to “Sell” the move, if blood makes sense in a real situation, then it also makes sense in the match if done correctly. Just my thoughts.

    • @willnelson9906
      @willnelson9906 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's exactly my thoughts. it also turns what's a negative for wrestlers who do lots of bloody spots, into a positive. people rage on Moxley all the time that he bleeds too much, but on the other side of the coin, How else is he supposed to sell that he's the most hardcore badass in the company? His matches hit the hardest, so of course someones gonna bleed.

    • @shadowof7662
      @shadowof7662 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@willnelson9906 I mean, blood in a match is fine if not overused like Mox does. This man bleeds everywhere, in matches that don't even involve weapons. Maybe it caters to the edgy marks who don't care about a wrestler's well-being, but all that bleeding is gonna screw him up when he gets older.

    • @willnelson9906
      @willnelson9906 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shadowof7662 again, the otherside of that coin is, even if it Doesn't involve weapons, Mox sells himself as being an incredible tough opponent by having lots of bloody matches. worrying about his Health is one thing the guy has said it before, this type of wrestling is the style he likes, im not gonna argue with him if this is how he wants to wrestle. but calling excessive is another. when you think of hard-hitting, violent matches, you think of Jon Moxley, and the blood is a big part of that.

    • @stunnerkingdom7434
      @stunnerkingdom7434  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree it's fine to sell blood. But I've caught Moxley blading more than just a couple of times. It needs to be more subtle.

    Hey man, I know this isn’t related to Kenny omega, but I just wanted to know if you think AEW should consider turning rampage into 2 hours live and introduce a brand split, cause I feel like there is way too many people on the roster and not enough tv time. Big fan of your vids btw

    • @stunnerkingdom7434
      @stunnerkingdom7434  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wouldn't enjoy that. I think AEW should just make Dynamite it's top tier. Rampage for the younger established guys. Dark for developmental. That's just me. 4 hours of AEW is too much. I already don't watch Rampage

      Unlike before, it's much tougher to Garner attention as a competitor company against WWE which had a stranglehold in the US market for more than 2 decades, and with the recent rise of HHH as head of creative and with the addition of AEW rising to be WWE's Rival then there's not much room for NJPW to grow, instead they can market their product through collaborations similar to forbidden door, they might even work with WWE now since the management feels more open-minded to these kinds of business deals.
      Just my opinion though
