isaac never actually joined the band, he just got up on stage oneday during their performance and started screaming then they let him stay

This is Isaac's most angry performance of Sunglasses yet and I'm loving it.

Absolutely love that, thanks for spotting. Once at a NC show my friend picked out that Isaac threw the riff from New Slaves into one of their songs
ik it wasn’t intentional but the mic static at the start strangely added a lot to the atmosphere

There's distortion on most of the vocals. Not sure why. I was pretty closer to the p.a. But then that's not new.

really cool to witness the progression of some of their songs even over their few Windmill performances. Wild that they've been actively been playing shows since 2018 and haven't dropped anything more than singles but they almost have this lore surrounding them with more than an album's songs in their arsenal.
bentley230 i think they’re aware about the relative hype building around them and how everyone is dying for more releases, I think they’re waiting til they’re 100% ready and perfected to put something out because they know it’s got the potential to be massive

Biding their time. Know they're hot property, so waiting to choose the best label deal. Album should follow swiftly I guess.
Lou Smith word is they’ve signed to Ninjatune, they definitely signed but it hasn’t been confirmed to who. Rumor is ninjatune tho

Dabmaster Ian they all posted pictures of them signing stuff to their IG stories, and I think one of them indicated it was ninjatune. I personally didn’t see the story that showed ninjatune but I did see a few signing ones.
I bumped into them in a pub in London after their Radio 6 show a few months ago. They said they were planning to drop it in September. Who knows if that's still the plan though
Wonderful to have a Lou Smith recording of these newer cuts, wish they had done Charli XCX (in full) but either way snowglobes is the standout from this performance, what an absolutely gorgeous track, love how melodic Isaac gets with his vox and those fucking drums man. I am once again chomping at the bit for a new single.

It's a great song. Did you catch the recent BM,NR fundraiser stream from the Windmill? That has a great version of snowglobes let seamlessly into the middle of it.
Yeah I was "there", Snowglobes is my favourite part of it, but all the gig is a gem and I may have fallen in love with Georgia a couple of times during the Fuck you cover
@@sebastianobaccolo6940 Yeah, she really rocked it. I wonder if she knows how many people have fallen in love with her over the looks she gives particularly Isaac in a couple of my vids, but even wearing black shades she oozed it. I saw her doing some vocals at a previous show and she seemed pretty shy and retiring, so this was a revelation. I should've known when she cheekily stuck out her tongue during the opening shots. In general it was great to see a lot of relaxed good humour going on as both bands can come across as pretty serious, no nonsense. I will upload both sets in all their glory sometime in the new year, when we hit peak Covid /post Brexit misery and need a lifesaver. x

Ninja Tune is releasing their debut album which is pretty exciting. They've already released their first single from the album.
@@conjointoates i was a little worried that half the album is released already (album is 6 songs, and all the singles are on there) but i have faith the 3 songs will be worth the wait, they really haven't disappointed with a release so far

Saw these guys at Primavera this year. But I’ll always think this line up and material was their best.

There music to me is apocalyptic it seems like an obscured and unconfined reflection of reality which reminds of a obscure post-apocalyptic society

Does anybody know what the latest is regarding the recording of their debut album? Last I heard they hadn’t picked a label yet
I think there was a buzz going round this week on the socials about it suggesting that they were coming close to a deal. I think it's a shame in a way that bands even need a label. The amount of traction these guys have got organically would suggest that they could just sell records and merch hand over fist without any blood suckers getting involved. For me it also means that despite the role that my series of windmill videos has played in that awareness of them, going forward, I'll be restricted or banned from uploading their stuff, as if my content would restrict sales of their releases. As if.
People are so hungry for actual hard copy of BCNR and BM material it's a license to print money.

Answering my on question it is probably because each individual member is playing such a different rhythm, or style and it helps them focus on what they are trying to do.
Nah. Repeated exposure to even moderately loud music will accumulatively damage your hearing. For death or glory rock and rollers that all seems comfortably far away, but for smart career musicians it's best to preserve your greatest asset.
