Do i really need to take it apart to see the sticker on the back of the screen to know what to order? Or can i order a new screen by using the model number of the computer? I don't want to have time between disassembly and assembly so i can easily remember the steps to put it back together. Also, having it open/apart while waiting for a new screen to be delivered seems dangerous. Is the computer model number enough information to order the correct replacement screen? I see in your video, there is a QR code next to the model number on the bottom. Will this have information to order the correct replacement screen? I would try it now, but its for my work computer at my office and I am home. Thank you
Nice video,but for my case i did not disconnect the cables from the MB...only from the screen.And,you can let the screen lie on its face on a flat surface
mines a 24 foxx 31 so i assume the inside looks the same, do i need a prying tool to open the screen or can i use a flathead screwdriver?

Why does no one ever show the actual screen replacement? Every single video, including both of yours, show disassembly, then simply states, "Do everything in reverse to put it back together."' If it were only so simple!! I was working on a 24-cb0017c and ended up here by virtue of it's similarity. The screen did not pop back in neatly, and while trying to get it fitted back in, it cracked. Is there a particular technique for these? Should I pop in the top and allow the screws to pull the rest down? Should I place face down and push the back onto the screen? It seems most methods put undue stress on one side or another and will cause breakage. This is screen #2, and at a cost of $250+ for each, I'm a little gun shy. Any input would be appreciated.
if it does not pop in neatly, then you're ordering the wrong model most likely. make sure the screen matches the model number. i followed this video and was done in a hour
@jkdfhdifdsfjhdnfi Yes - and sorry, I forgot to update this comment. I was replacing 2 screens at the same time, a cb0017c and a cb0007c. For all practical purposes, they look identical and the screens actually are. The plastic bezel that backs the screen is slightly different on both, however, and not making sure the correct one went with the proper case is what caused my grief. So, the moral of the story is that though they may look the same, they are not. Make sure you have the proper screen AND the proper bezel.
