Ben you were too young to die.... all I have to say is thank you!!! Your talent and the good music you produced made me a better person and inspired me to enjoy such good songs as I do today!!! Good journey!!!! Bet you will keep playing to the other side of the world....
It's no wonder SVIIB is now my favorite band- I was listening to early Simple Minds AND Front 242 back in the '80's & Lynch is still one of my favorite directors!
Because it's Google Plus! Lo l : - ) That, and you have 5,900 followers who want to hear from you more often. I am up against my 5,000 limit again. So I use ***** to find who has not been around in awhile, and delete them to make room for new people I meet, and who are here more often and engaged. You were on that "been gone awhile" list, but I kept you, and thought I'd stop by with a quick note.
Twin Peaks!! hell yeah.. AND SHE LIKES GAS!!! and I had no idea that Simple Minds jammed on experimental stuff for their earlier releases.. gotta check that out. This video was great
Brilliant stuff. All amazing up to Waterfront. I believe they were recording in Berlin and put backing vocals on Lust For life with Iggy and Bowie. Start with I Travel
True that Simple Minds were more experimental at the beginning... but it was a tendency... they were not the only one to see their art partially corrupted by they growin' wish to become popular...by the mid 80s "most" bands had lost a big part of their experimental/newwave edge
This video got me into some much new music over the years. Very insprational band to me as a kid. R.I.P Ben
GHOSTORY is a MASTERPIECE!!
School of Seven Bells = Top 10 Overlooked Bands of Decade

what a great guy, he'll be missed
So sad... I wonder if the band is essentially defunct without him.
Ario Jafarzadeh , where have you been? Dec. 13th, 2013 since your last post here.
Why should I be here?
Because it's Google Plus! Lo l : - )

Best What's In My Bag i've seen as far as selections go. And I love how excited both this girl and Glasser get about the Gas record.
Very cool liking early Simple Minds
What amazing taste they both have and had.
He reminds me of Mr.Orange from Reservoir Dogs. That GAS record is a classic.

Simple Minds were cool, Empires and Dance is incredible, check out Japan - Tin Drum, ground breaking. Timeless the sound literally jumps out at you.
I need to see Twin Peaks. Every band I like ever always says it's their favourite series.
This is so sad. He must have never known until it was too late. 5:20.
I am a fan of, and own, every single thing that was in "their bag."

Amazing talent we just lost. Rip Ben
