  • Lojban is a constructed language. One of its features that really attracted me was its unambiguous parsing when written or spoken. This means that it could be used as a natural human/machine interlingua.
Part 2 goes into gadri and typicals, which function like English articles.
    Errata:
This sentence doesn't mean what I thought it meant: "mi selcme la .rabrt." Instead I should use "mi selcme zo .rabrt.", or "mi du la .rabrt.", or just "mi'e .rabrt."

My username is taken from Lojban.
My real name means 'son of the sea' in Welsh mythology.
Therefore, I took the word for sea, *xamsi* (xas), and the word for son, *bersa* (be'a). Then, I made the lujvo *xasybe'a.* All that remained was putting a consonant at the end to make it a cmevla.
    Voila, *Xasybe'an.*

Lojban as a language to talk to machines sounds awesome but sentences like _no mlatu cu mupli lo'hi mlatu_ make me think of very curious extraterrestrial visitors. 9:04

You keep blowing my mind. Lojban! I remember hearing about it, years ago in passing.
I had no idea, it would be this interesting! Very interesting indeed :)

.i zabna fa lo skina .iku'i milxe srera fa do mau'a te pilno zo la .i lu mi selcme la rab li'u cu nibli lodu'u zo rab cu cmene lo cmene jenai lo se cmene .i e'u lu mi selcme zo rab .ije la rab du mi li'u basti
    Translation:
Cool video! But there was a minor error in how you used "la". "mi selcme la rab" implies that "rab" is the name of a name, not the name of a person/named thing. I suggest "mi selcme zo rab .ije la rab du mi" should replace it.
