My Dad worked at Goodyear, and I could tires at a serious discount. I've owned several sets of Goodyear Eagle S/T's. Those M/T Sportsman S/T looks very similar to the Goodyear S/T's. The solid white lettering is wonderful to see. Got me feeling a bit nostalgic.
I work for Goodyear and yes we get a 45% discount. I also get several 35% discounts that I can share. As pointed out Goodyear owns Cooper and MT. I wanted Goodyear white letter tires but we dont make them anymore for passenger cars. Cooper makes some though if someone wants them.
My '68 Torino has 19x33x15 old school Sportsmans on it now that are getting old and sketchy. I have a little fender interference on right turns, so that 31x18 he mentioned might be the ticket for me. Not sure yet if I'm going to keep it on the street or go track only. Some minor updating first and then it will be time for four tires. Good video!
Well it was bought out by discovery earlier this year so all the content went into discovery plus. The content will live there for a while and new seasons of the shows will still be around through 2025. After that though, you'll just have to settle for reruns until a new company comes along.

Goodyear bought Cooper/Mickey Thompson.
@@fivestar8337 I did not know that. Interesting.

@cuzz63 Nice. With a discount like that I could afford those 30x12 Sportsman SR's
24. 4.5/15 $300 for a 4.5 inch tire is crazy . A fool is born every minute. Count me out.

Thanks man! Good to see you making your way through all the sema videos 👍
@@NightWrencher That could be dangerous! I was this close >< to asking where the blue rubber tires are that say "FORD" on the sidewall...
I was expecting a "no tires for a FERD" comment 🤣
Funny seeing the Motor Trend Sign in the back ground. What happened to Motor Trend? Out of business just after SEMA.

I see people with modern cars that put the stickers on the tires since they cant get raised white letters and they look cool as hell.
I agree but I dont think theres a big enough market to make white letter 17s and 20s unfortunately
@@NightWrencher yea, probably not. At my plant we used to make 14 and 15 inch tires and Goodyear doesnt make them anymore.
Ive made some good passes on MT tires
What the biggest tire a can put on a 8 inch rim. For a s10
@@Farrell-yc8yu you can go pretty wide, at least 275. It just bubbles a little bit
M and H makes a 275/60-15 radial that puts the most rubber on the ground for a 8inch rim.
