Sly Flourish has a whole video on his experience running I6 Ravenloft with Shadowdark. There has much discussion of Ravenloft/Strahd in the Shadowdark subreddit worth checking out, and someone even made a hex map of Barovia.
Correction the first: Renegade Studios makes licensed Hasbro (not WotC) owned IPs. The Transformers roleplaying game, G.I. Joe roleplaying game, Power Rangers roleplaying game, and My Little Pony roleplaying game. All are compatible with each other which all use the Essence20 system. A d20 system very similar to D&D with level+class, a unified d20 resolution mechanic, and within the same range of D&D for DCs and power level. Correction the second: Star Trek Adventures 2e is out, it has been released. Not "coming out"
I’ve had running Curse of Strahd reworked into cyperpunk rural dystopia for long 😭 As for your dungeon world, I have grown to love tiny modules as I’ve gotten older. As a teen, I always saw them as restrictive or built to fail, but now nearing 30, I can grab one from my computer, give it a skim, and harvest the parts I like. That’s actually how I built my most recent campaign, cobbled together from 30 some odd adventures and each ready to go based on the players choices and story needs, linked together through broad themes. It’s been so fulfilling in a while new way!
Believe Deficient Master made a version of Ravenloft called “The Castle, The Count, & The Curse,” on DrivThru RPG. Has a video over it and it’s made for Shadowdark.
I just don't see it as being D&D anymore if it's AI running it, personally. There are a lot of D&D-based video games that I have played in my life, going all the way back to the 80s. They were fun games, but they weren't really D&D. AI ran games are more like playing a board game like Hero Quest. Great game that would translate perfectly to a VTT. It's not D&D, though.
you hit the nail on the head. If you are a CEO of a company of a ceratin size right now, you have to use the term AI when talking to investors. It's the way it is.
@@JocularJunction The full title is "EVOLVED: Super Heroic TIME TRAVEL Roleplaying Game" and I have the PDF of playtest beta but its no graphics and no funnel in this very early beta. The full game comes out in days.
Constantly disappointed in WotC. I'm glad my campaign uses 3rd party stuff. I think most of us DMs who have long running campaigns aren't even playing 5e anymore with the amount of homebrew stuff we're all using.
I mean, human artists have to 'steal' other people's art in order to learn anything. To THINK of anything really. Our brains don't create anything from nothing either.

Awesome thanks, I'll have to check it out!

I second the praise of Star Trek Adventures. Very fun game.

There is a Shadowdark Ravenloft clone that is supposed to be pretty good.
Sly Florish ran Ravenloft in Shadowdark…. Or at least basic
WotC does pretty much suck these days. I don't intend to give them any more of my money.

@15:30 They should have got Jorphdan as the celebrity 😁

Ravenloft and Shadowdark will
Work extremely well together ❤

In my experience the bottleneck to games being played isn't a lack of DM's, it's players cancelling
I'm proud to say that I haven't given WOTC a dime since 3.5. play better games!!
Will you review Goodman-Games and Eric Bloat's "Evolved" powered by DCC? It comes out October 2024
Maybe! I'll have to take a look :D

I’d run it for y’all.
