Tremendous. I'm very impressed at how you handle these birds which are at the top of the throne of all birds of prey. These are the ultimate raptors and to see you handle them with such smoothness and frankly no fear is really something to be admired. I'm particularly amazed at how you handle their feet without any gloves or protection whatsoever. The mere fact that they are trained and so well mannered that you don't have to worry about an accidental grab by one of those 3" hallux or even any of the other talons is very impressive. Wouldn't it be possible that the bird could be stressed at some point (nothing to do with your treatment at all, as a matter of fact your training them to be so calm is remarkable) just from any reason such as being tired or irritated and accidently decide to clutch your hand? Has that ever happened and do you worry about that possibility? Fantastic stuff otherwise. I enjoy your videos tremendously.
ryan machin of it’s ur first bird out of the two I would always say Harris get some experience under your belt tbh I’d go for a red tail a bit more challenging than a Harris and it will warm u up for the goshawk eventually
I have a black eagle or what is it called I dont know this is my first time, so what do I have to prepare for my young black eagle? size is little bit smaller that yours, he bite my hands but it really not hurt but I worries if he grown bigger and when I put him on my hand he will scratch my face/head or bite my ears.. so please teach me how. Im newbie
And for all you teens who think because you've seen this video and think it's cool to have an eagle, first of all, you don't just buy an eagle. And even if you become a falconer, you can't have an eagle until you've completed several years of LICENSED falconry. Here in the US I believe it's 10 years before you earn a Master Falconer's status which gives you rights to fly an Eagle of any kind. Eagles are not just for anybody and neither are any birds of prey for that matter. It's a lifetime commitment like having a child! That's how difficult it is. And these are VERY DANGEROUS and scarce birds that deserve respect and are better off in the wild if you cannot offer it a life that it deserves.
GoMiGman I have nothing but time. trapping traditional archer, Flyfishing, sporting clay shooting, are all things I've devoted time In mastering. The only thing that limits your progression is a standard time frame deemed by others to be a standard requirement. If that means i have to wait a few years and keep the training wheels on...so be it lol
@fieldsportschannel hi sir, i m live in Lahore, Pakistan. unfortunately there is no concept of falconry club here. please tell me a web link or any video that can provide me little bite information about eagles. i shall be very thank full you. :)
This is highly unethical. Imagine if this were the carcass of a dog, puppy, or human child. Speciesism is evil and humans should not own animals nor intervene in animals' behaviors.
Roy has devoted much of his life to his birds. It's not price you worry have to worry about but the time it takes to train them.
Fieldsports Channel it’s not time wasted if it’s your passion

TalkashieGaming to make them calm and easy to handle if not they are aggressive and do not cooperate
I would love to own a Harpy Eagle,(I know there rare) and train it. Can people own one thought?
RheavyOmetalCjunkieK idk I saw some guy owning it
@blackMEETYOURMAKER why would you buy an eagle without the slightest clue of how to rear/exercise and generally look after it
I thought you had to go through vigorous courses and get a license to own any predatory bird.... It's so irresponsible to get them illegally T_T
Emily Sun well this is England no license needed

So at the beginning you say the eagle is a servant or a slave?! How repulsive can you get?!
Ha , he looks like me :3
***** She? or you ?
***** Yeah she's a bitch
I see a fox, an eagle, and a hunter... all hate each other.
It is a servant.
