Plenty of other videos explained how to use Sends and Returns but this is the first that explained WHY you would want to. Thanks

So basically the return track is the same as an effects channel on other DAWs. Great video by the way!

good vid. can you have the send volume active when the channel volume is all the way down?
its the "post/pre" button yes. i remembered. thats the best when jamming. Pre makes the sends work full wet when the channel volume is down. can get amzing blending possibilities

does that mean that when you export tracks, the reverb of every drum set in a group will be in one single track? If so is there a way to export with individual FX?

I know this sounds a stupid question but what are the A and B controls for on the return tracks themselves? Cheers

Hello, Thanks for the video, How do i bypass the inserteffects in the mail track. I want a clean signal on the send so i can proces the onprocest signal.
    Thanks

What's the difference between using return tracks and grouping tracks? I have the intro version of Ableton which is limited to 2 return tracks. I have all my guitar tracks that I want to go through neuralDSP plugin (performance takes a massive hit, like a 15%CPU for every track that uses that plugin as an insert). I go by grouping the tracks and adding the neuralDSP on the group then send all my guitar tracks to that group -> master. Is it the same CPU performance wise as using neuralDSP as a return track? If so, I don't understand the 2 send/return limitations in the intro version since you can workaround it using groups. You might have a bit more control with the return tracks but other than that they achieve the same purpose: share effects on tracks for consistency/optimizing CPU usage?
Sorry if my question is stupid, I've just started with DAWs.
