    I have bought this *BENQ GS2283* Model Monitor 😀. It comes only with *VGA Cable* but no *HDMI Cable* But the problem is that the *VGA Cable* doesn't support in *CU Cabinet* 😓. Means the *Motherboard* which i am using to build my "PC Desktop" doesn't have *VGA Port* option 😕😟. So i have to buy a *HDMI Port Cable* to get display...😅.

      Yes, if you have two devices connected with the two HDMI ports, you can simultaneously switch between the two using the buttons under the monitor (you can briefly see the buttons at 3:08); the monitor calls the two ports "HDMI1" and "HDMI2". The buttons are pretty intuitive, and will allow you to switch to anything connected to the VGA port too (monitor calls it D-Sub).

      It would definitely depend on the model of the BenQ monitor. The BenQ GW2283 I got had a native refresh rate of 60hz. If the seller or website is selling the same model and claiming it is 50hz, I would maybe consider reaching out to them and checking if it is a typo or something.

    Nice review brother....I am considering two BenQ monitors- the GW2780 and the EW2780. Both are 27 inch panels with 1080p resolution IPS panel with 5ms response rate (the exact same panel as yours, I believe, though different size). The EW2780 supports HDRi and 75Hz refresh rate and costs around $211 (USD) and has better speakers while the GW2780 has no HDRi with 60Hz refresh rate and costs 180$. So my question is which of the two will be better? At the moment, I really can't afford a 1440p monitor because of its high price ($350+) and also because my laptop can't really play games at that resolution. Also, I don't want a 24 inch monitor because I plan to read a lot and also don't have space for a 32 inch monitor. So, 27 inch will be the sweet spot for me. So which one do you recommend- the GW2780 or the EW2780 and is the BenQ HDRi as good as they claim it to be or just a gimmick? (Also, the EW2780 has a black and white read mode but I don't know how good or effective that is).
    TL;DR: Suggest me one between the BenQ GW2780 and the BenQ EW2780. Both are 1080p IPS. The EW2780 has HDRi and 75Hz refresh while GW2780 has 60Hz with no HDRi.
    Sorry for the long post and looking forward to your reply.
    P.S. Really amazing and honest review and your engagement with your viewers just melted by heart.
    Thanks and much love. :)

    • @mithstechchannel4273
      @mithstechchannel4273  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Rajarshi! Thanks for the kind words!
      So, I'll start off with another big difference between the two monitors (which might not be a big deal for some users), their connectivity; the GW2780 has an HDMI port, a DisplayPort, and a VGA / D-Sub port which means that it can be connected to most devices without the need of a separate adapter or a special cable. However, the EW2780 only has 3 HDMI ports. If all your devices have an HDMI out port, or if you have (or are willing to buy) separate adapters/cables to connect your devices via HDMI this shouldn't really be an issue.
      Now, you mentioned that you plan on playing games on the monitor. In that case, the EW2780 would definitely be a better performer. Even if you aren't able to reach 75 FPS (to take advantage of the refresh rate), BenQ claims that the HDRi technology (which is proprietary to BenQ BTW) will give you more vivid detail in games. According to BenQ: "While HDRi benefits span most types of computer use, it is invaluable for gaming. Think of the edge you have when you can see everything on your display in vivid detail, and your opponents can’t." (www.benq.com/en-us/knowledge-center/knowledge/whats-the-difference-between-hdr-and-hdri.html)
      If you had the two monitors side by side, movies would also likely look better on the EW2780 because of the HDRi, so it might be worth it if you know that you will be watching a lot of movies (or if the quality is very important to you) or if you'll be playing games somewhat competitively.
      In my opinion, HDRi is not a gimmick per se, but the importance of it is determined by the buyer. Personally, I probably wouldn't pay the extra $31 because I don't game that often, I'd prefer to have a VGA port just in case, and I mostly just use my monitor for productivity (e.g. just multi-tasking usually).
      Also, the speakers wouldn't really be that much of a deciding factor, because the speakers on monitors are almost always worse than laptop speakers (and definitely worse than external speakers). I can almost guarantee that your laptop's speakers are better than both of the monitor's speakers combined.
      TL;DR: The BenQ GW2780 has a wider range of ports (1×HDMI, 1×DisplayPort, 1×VGA/D-Sub), and that's about its only advantage over the BenQ EW2780 (other than its price), so if port variety is important to you, the GW2780 would be the better choice (the EW2780 has 3×HDMI). Also, the speakers shouldn't play much of a role in deciding which to get since laptop speakers (or external ones) are generally always better.
      I think that the HDRi technology on the EW2780 isn't really a gimmick and will make your experience better especially if you are gaming even a little competitively or watching movies (or even high-quality videos actually). The higher refresh rate should also be an advantage if you are getting over 60 FPS in any games. So, my final verdict is that you should get the BenQ EW2780 IF you are fine with it having only HDMI ports and you value the better contrasts and luminosity you'll get from the HDRi.
      Sorry if my answer was not definitive enough or too vague (or long), but both are great monitors, and particular features may be more important to some users than others.
      Thanks for watching, and feel free to ask for clarification if needed! Stay safe! 😁

    • @rajarshichaudhuri1356
      @rajarshichaudhuri1356 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mithstechchannel4273 Brother....First of all I'm beyond amazed by the depth of your answer. I think you are the first (and probably the only) TH-camr who has responded to my comment and that too at this level of detail. I can definitely tell that you do care about us (your viewers) and have real knowledge about the stuff you talk about.
      Coming to the monitors, I think I will be going with the EW2780 because of the better picture quality and the higher refresh rate (my GTX 1650 does pack a punch for some of the older titles with FPS reaching upto 80 on Ultra and some newer games reaching around 80 fps in medium to low settings). So, yes 75 Hz will be beneficial in my case. Again, my laptop does only have a HDMI port and even if I build a desktop PC in the future (which seems like a distant dream as I am only a student now), I believe it will have HDMI support. So yes, the ports won't be much of an issue at least in the foreseeable future.
      About the speakers, yes I forgot to mention and apologize because I will be using external speakers (5.1 channel, only 30 bucks lol) and headphones. So, the monitor speakers really don't play a deciding role here.
      I will, however, watch movies (probably a lot) and definitely care about quality in both movies and games (personally I play offline story driven games and really don't mind input lag, for example I used to play on my 32" Samsung TV without game mode on and didn't notice any lag back then, but that maybe just me; but I do want my games to look as gorgeous as possible).
      TL;DR: I am going with the EW2780 because of better picture quality and will use external speakers with it.
      P.S.: Sorry for the long reply and thanks for replying to me in such a short time and clearing my doubts. We really need people like you. Keep up the good work. Thanks and much love. Sorry for my English as I am not a native. :)

      Nuubie Plays COD is right, the specs of this monitor aren't the best for gaming: it's refresh rate is 60hz and response time is 5ms. If your PC gives you a FPS higher than 60 on the games you play, then you'd benefit from getting a monitor with a higher refresh rate. If not, you could consider this, but remember the refresh rate of the screen provides a 'hard' cap on the FPS you'll actually be able to see.

      Hello, so I actually don't have a Chromecast, so I just watched this video (th-cam.com/video/iWCoZ6E6cac/w-d-xo.html) to understand how it works. I'm sure you won't need to watch it because you already set it up.
      Anywho, so first of all, the monitor's built-in speakers aren't that loud in the default volume setting. If you are able to increase the monitor's volume with your phone, try increasing it and checking if any sound comes out. After doing that, try increasing the volume with the buttons under the monitor as well (their maybe two different volume settings). Using these buttons should be pretty intuitive, but if you need help, you could ask.
      In regards to the external headphones and speakers, make sure that you are connecting them to the audio port in the corner (far right) not the other one. I think the other one is for a mic.

    Hey Thanks for the review. I have one question. I am looking to buy this as an extended display for my laptop and want to get it for my office work( I am into product testing), will this be a good option, especially about speakers, are these good for calls (skype and teams) and normal movies/songs( again I am not someone who looks for home theatre sound). or I will be having flexibility use my laptop speaker even when I have connected this one?

    • @mithstechchannel4273
      @mithstechchannel4273  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this monitor fairs well as an extended display. However, I am not a fan of its speakers that much. They are not very powerful or clear either. Therefore, I always have the audio come out of my laptop speakers. So, to answer your question, I think that the monitor should be fine for movies and watching things as long as the sound is outputted from somewhere else. As a display, the image and colours are very clear and sharp.

      3. From this menu, go to "Eye Care" and check if "Bright Intelligence" is on. If it is on, you will need to turn it off (and the click the tick option) to manually adjust brightness.
      4. Go to 'Picture', and you should be able to change brightness now.

      The quality is pretty good. It is a FHD (1920 by 1080) display which is the standard in many places. However it is only 22 inches diagonally which is small relative to most TVs. So, it might be too small if you are watching it from far away, but if you are relatively close, it should work just fine with a TV box.

    How much color accuracy it has for video editing and photo editing work? Plz tell
    Can i buy this for color accuracy work like editing?

    • @mithstechchannel4273
      @mithstechchannel4273  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Someone actually asked if the monitor would be good for photo editing a few weeks ago. Below is what my response was then:
      "It should be alright for photo editing. It has a 72% NTSC color gamut, which isn't that bad and 100% sRGB. You can look into this Reddit post if you'd like: www.reddit.com/r/Photography_Gear/comments/c3u03y/is_a_72_ntsc_monitor_for_photo_editing_okay/. Personally, I don't do photo editing, so I cannot speak from experience, but it seems like it should do just fine."
      So, although I don't do photo editing, I have do some light video editing with it. In my opinion, it does absolutely fine for my purposes (mostly just TH-cam). FYI, if you are doing serious editing, you will probably want to calibrate the monitor (but that applies to any monitor). Quite frankly, I do not know a whole lot in the realm of display color accuracies, but from the little research I did, the monitor's color gamut is about average (in relation to modern monitors) at 100% sRGB. That translates to about 70% Adobe RGB. Now, this is much better than my laptop which has a color accuracy of only 54% sRGB (probably due to a TN panel, IPS panels should have a considerably higher color accuracy). Now, I think professionals prefer an Adobe RGB above 90%, but monitors with that will probably be much costlier.
      So, to conclude, I think it will be alright for editing in general. The color accuracy is not below average. I hope I was able to answer your question.

    • @mithstechchannel4273

    Is this monitor 60hz will it be able to run games at 60fps?

    • @mithstechchannel4273
      @mithstechchannel4273  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the refresh rate is 60 hz. The FPS you get in the game itself is determined by how powerful your pc is for gaming (and the settings of the game). The monitor's refresh rate just puts a 'hard cap' on how many FPS are actually coming through for you to see (outputted by monitor). So if you are getting 60 FPS or less, theoretically, the monitor will be able to display everything just fine.
      However, if you get FPS higher than 60, the monitor will bottleneck the FPS actually coming through at 60, so you won't really get the full benefit of the higher FPS. For example if you are getting 100 FPS, the monitor will still output only 60, because it refreshes its screen 60 times a second, so it can't possible push out more frames.
      In short, yes, it will be able to display games at 60 FPS (and higher too, but the max FPS output from monitor is 60).

      No, you don't need to install drivers. If you are using Windows 10, you need to click the volume icon on the taskbar while the monitor is connected. From there, you can set the playback device and the BenQ should be an option.
      If you have something like your laptop connected to the monitor, the odds are the laptop has far better speakers btw. Most monitors have pretty awful speakers. If you select the BenQ speakers and you still can't hear them, try turning up the volume and listening closely for a sound (they're that bad in some cases).

      There shouldn't be any compatibility issues. If you are getting around 60 FPS in games or lower currently (or think you will), then there shouldn't really be a problem with getting this monitor. If you have not used the processor yet, or aren't sure about what FPS you'll get, you can check out videos like these: th-cam.com/video/pdR4VHCHW2E/w-d-xo.html and see the FPS with particular games. If you plan on upgrading your GPU so you can get higher frame rates, then the refresh rate of the monitor will probably become a bottleneck (if you're using it for gaming)..Overall, if you're sticking with this processor and the included graphics, this monitor shouldn't be a problem.

      VA panels are considered to be like a "middle ground" between TN and IPS panels. The refresh rates tend to be better than IPS, but worse than TN. They also usually have better viewing angles and colors than TN, but worse than IPS. However, since their response times tend to be pretty bad, they probably aren't the best for gaming. Those are the general characteristics, but the exact specs depends on the monitor.
      In my opinion, the most major difference between VA and IPS panels are that IPS tend to have better colors and viewing angles. IPS panels also tend to cost more.

      @@ammarfaez4907 IPS would probably be the better choice because of the better colors and viewing angles. That might help with your design work as well. However, if you find a really good deal on a VA panel, that could be an option to. If you find that they are around the same price, I would recommend the IPS.

    I am torn between two options, this one or the Asus VZ229H. I need something with great build quality and durable for long term use.

      Both monitors have similar specifications. Although I think BenQ might have a slight edge in terms of brand reputability, I think both monitors will last fairly long (if cared for properly). According to a Tom's Hardware forum response " BenQ has a slightly better picture, a better stand, more inputs, and more settings", but that might vary with the exact model (forums.tomshardware.com/threads/asus-or-benq.2091315/#:~:text=BenQ%20is%20typically%20more%20expensive,brand%2C%20no%20question%20about%20it.).
      Although the Asus VZ229H has 1 fewer HDMI port, I believe its design is sleeker and a bit more appealing than the BenQ GW2283. However, the monitors are, otherwise, almost on par with each other. Personally, I would get which ever one I can find a better deal on. Where I live, the BenQ can be bought for a lower price, so I'd pick that one.
      Good luck finding/choosing one! Stay safe!

      @@mithstechchannel4273 hey, thanks a lot for the insight! The BenQ is slightly cheaper where I live as well. I think I'll go for the BenQ Monitor and see how well it does!

      @@lucius8686 I saw both the monitors and ended up getting the Asus VZ229HE. It's a lot sleeker and modern to look at. The BenQ looked a bit old fashioned (kindda like my old 10yr old monitor). The BenQ has got some great features and functionality though, ambient light sensor, Vesa mount, built-in speakers, Cable Management and it looked really well built. The only reason I got the Asus was because the BenQ wasn't aesthetically pleasing.

      A.S.M. FOYSAL what about picture quality and colour accuracy wise, how do both monitors compare when it comes to that?
