I was thinking the same thing. There was a girl I once loved and these lyrics hit too close to home. The different parts of the song just remind me of how my relationship was a failure.
I think the Story is that the guy used to have an actual GF but i think things changed after the guy sunk himself into anime depravity and with that Hentai,the guy was too focused on his anime and Hentai stuff that he started to neglect the actual GF he had and then after the GF confronts the guy about it they argue and i think they either break up or the guy physically attacked his GF and accidentally either hurt her or killed her then the guy gets depressed and is now having nightmares of the anime and hentai he once had with his GF being part of those nightmares as some kind of maiden in distress that needs saving,but the guy fails,he failed to save his GF in his dream just as he failed saving his GF in his real life.
Such irony. For those who can't see beyond the boobs in the original video, the guy in it was a hikikomori (shut-in). The guy had a nice relationship with his GF, but he got into bad habits of watching anime, porn, etc etc, so he lost the relationship with his girlfriend called Hana. In the video where he turned all mecha? That's him trying to fight his otaku habits (remember in japan that being an 'otaku' has bad connotations rather then the western definition, which is the name for someone who loves anime/manga/video games etc), but at the end, when he's all torn and stuff and there's only a head there, that means he lost the battle, and he's drifting back into his lifestyle. Then it ended the same as it began, him waking up to begin fighting again. That's why this is so ironic.
