Sorry the video is a day late! We got hit pretty bad by the storm and just got internet back last night. Very blessed tho compared to so many around us. A lot of devastation up here in the NC mountains
I'm still without internet up here in Southern Ohio. I can't stand watching videos on my phone, so I have to "hotspot" my television to watch anything!
@@ParkerTheBasshead I have family 👪 in Mariana and Tampa. By the grace ✨ of the big guy in the sky, they only lost a facia board off 1 home 🏡 Hope all your days are Blessed 🙌 Buddy
I have a 15" HCCA myself. One of the older Black Coil series subs. But what a beast. 4" coil, 2500w RMS and despite what it might look like, it has great sound quality.
I was living in Phoenix when the original XTR 12" sub came out. Got to see the demo van with 4 of them in 6th order boxes. Holy hell that thing pounded. Wanted to buy some so bad but was only working part time at 5 bucks an hour. Times sure have changed.
Glad to see you and hifi vector doing Orion reviews , I love them and glad they are on the rise of a comeback. Also would love to see you review one of the new down4sound subs !!! Let’s go buddy ! 🔉🔈🔉🔊
I have this sub! So cool to see you review it. It’s a nice sounding sub, great for SQ (sound quality). I’ve tried playing it while on the road for over 5 hours straight non stop bumping and ended blowing my amp🤣. This sub can handle the power, might get smelly but can handle it!
@ParkerTheBasshead- I really like that you have, & are using the Bass Head Garage Watt Meter. Great point about if you had a 600 watt @ 1 ohm amp, wired to 1 ohm, but with impedance changing while a speaker is playing, its normal to see 4x the impedance= approx. 1/4 power, or as you said 150 to 200 watts.
Glad you made it through the storms! Anything HCCA is a winner, not a wiener, in my book! Orion does have some junk, but I still run one of their Cobalt amps and have it on an older Rockford Fosgate 8 inch in a Bazooka tube, not breaking any glass, but for what I listen to, it's good. Big Jeff has some fantastic deals!! And let's see an HCCA sub on here!
@ParkerTheBasshead- I think this should have been Orion's Cobalt subwoofer, & wish they would have made a beefier XTR subwoofer, to match there XTR 2500.1 amplifier. Like a 1,250 watt R.M.S. XTR 12", so a XTR 2500.1 would have been a great match for a pair. Great video parker.
Big Jeff audio is great, best people I've ever dealt with. And I love watching your videos. Keep the amazing content coming, and glad you're ok, I heard it was pretty intense storms
My brother had 2 of these back in the early 2000s in fourth order band pass box and for back then they were loud he had them running on a rockford power 1000. He ran those for a few years then got a 10w7 that he is still running today it has been rebuilt several times so still hits hard as hell for a single 10.
I grabbed one 2nd hand for 50 bucks and put it on my Samsung home theater. As little power as it gets, it sure sounds amazing in a 20 dollar ported Amazon prefab box.
orion seems to still keep up, even tho those "max watts" shouldnt even be printed on the sub. But hey, as long as it sells, manufacturers are gonna keep doing it.
Had 2 of these in a custom box for a year before upgrading and they slammed hard for the price, decent on the lows but played extremely good on the 40hz range and up.These would be good for someone who like a sealed enclosure and want more of a SQ build.
Really really want to see how the XTR PRO does frfr yo. We kind of got a good idea how the HCCA does and I've seen it in the past but nobody is ever really done anything on the XTR pro seems like a very promising sub
1.33cu. ft. empty.... man, I bet it would sound so much better all around in a proper sized box. Cheers, excellent video! HCCA SPLX would be my guess, unless you got the giant 33" giant from B2 Audio?
Love your videos man! I'd love to see you review the newest Dayton Ultimax II subs. I have a 10" for my home theater and I love it. I know they can be used in car audio as well.
Just subbed today 🙌 been watching you for a year and can honestly say I’ve learned a lot from your videos man! I love me some subwoofers I have some Audiopipes BD1’s at the moment but want to go to something more better u convinced me on the BD2’s a while back 😂😂 KEEP BASS’ing ON by the way man if u need help with anything after all the devastation let me know I stay up in Statesville NC
I had this exact sub, for 3days and i was disappointed by its performance. It sounded like plastic rattling and i triple checked that my ohms were right on the amp and sub. I had it in a very similar sized vented box as parker did. I really didn't want to return it, i love cut in lines on the dust cap. To be fair, it might have needed a bigger box to perform better but i didn't have bigger box available.
The v2s are conservatively rated at 1500 watts They are really a beast of a speaker and good products for the price 379.00 on their website!! And can compete with sundowns top products
Or maybe there’s a reason why you can’t review resilient sounds products if so, please let us know because for the money I believe they’re one of the best speakers out there
Yes I remember those days where these subs are rocking in market but I also heard some complaint about these subs like these are getting very hot very easily whenever lows + heavy bass tracks are played on these ORION SUBS. But those days are memories.
Had 2 in a custom box feeding them just 600 watts each on a DC Audio 1.2k and and barely got hot when playing them full tilt.Very good budget subs in my book.
im sad you didnt do the test tone torture test, its an Orion, it should take it at rms power. i really want to see you test the HCCA but it would be sad if you didnt torture test that one.
Not a bad little starter sub would be awesome to throw in my 17 year olds first car , awesome video as always parker. Jesse G from Akron ohio, here maybe ill get lucky and win . Thanks for everything you do for the basshead community
The XTRs are affordable and not a bad sub. I’d rather see the Orion HCCA SPLX. The “big boy” sub. Seeing Orion is refreshing though, a break from the norm.
It sure would be nice if I could find a subwoofer review that was more than "hey heres the spl" once in a while. How hard they hit and all is fine, but for people that listen to real music and not boom boom boom 1 note rap all the time these reviews are basically pointless. I wanna know if it can keep up with a rapid double bass or how accurately is reproduces the sound of a well made 22" floor tom. Does a wicked bass line come through true and clear? Does this exist on youtube anywhere? ive yet to find that kind of info
I had a pair of HP12D2's that beat the shit out of a lumina back in like '01 or so, hands down one of the best sets of speakers I have owned, not just in terms of vomiting SPL, but sounding great across all spans of music..... man they sounded good.

Another Great Review.. I Think If We Can See 100 Orion Comments on here, Then Big Jeff And Orion Could Get Parker One Of The HCCA Subs.
Hell yeah can we see one of Orion's newer HCCA amps with it? 😁
Would love to see Parker review the hcca
Wish he could do the hcca splx 15s I have 2 on a splx 12,500.1 man they are awesome
Definitely! Let's make it happen. We want to see 100 Orion comments
Atkeast send the hcca spl 5k
If you end up getting the hcca get the hcca splx its the biggest sub they have
That sub is around 2 grand
Finally some Orion subwoofers. You got to get the HCCA 12 next. I run 2 of them in my truck on a 5k. They out perform most dual 15 setups.
Orion kicks major ass!!!
Hopefully I can get one!
@@ParkerTheBasshead they have the xtr pro back in stock
Im a running a single HCCA 12 on a 5k
@Valverde713 I bet it's still going strong too! Your rearview mirror will never forgive you 😆
I loved my xtr s ...had 2 in a custom box on a md1800 taramps...hit 145 easy...played down to 28hz........great video !!
Let’s see those comments, everyone! Big Jeff and Orion could provide an HCCA for review. Also, great video, Parker!
I really hope the big sub is going to be the Deaf Bonce 32" behemoth.
I kinda doubt it, but it sure would be fun to see. Lol. Take care.
@@JasonWW2000 👍
I'm sure if he can get enough subscribers one day I can see it happening 😂
I started with the old school Orions they banged in the 90s on my earthquake shredder amp
Loved my 1990’s Orion 2NT’s 🔊🔊🔊🔊
My buddy runs 2nt 15s on the xtr2250 aka the beast!!
My first Orion, then I went HCCA and had it for 24yrs and now the huge HCCA just got dropped in and waiting for the SALT 2 to really run power to it.
I have a 15" HCCA myself. One of the older Black Coil series subs. But what a beast. 4" coil, 2500w RMS and despite what it might look like, it has great sound quality.
I was worried about you!! glad you’re OK
Yessir very blessed! Maybe people around us lost homes/cars and even some fatalities
I'd love to see a hcca test. Love the real world scenarios that Parker puts stuff through! Keep up the great vids Parker!
I appreciate it man!!

Just lastnight I was saying why have I not seen orion on parkers channel 😅 and am so happy for this review 💯👌
Pretty tough low budget sub. Sounded good too especially for the price. Great video my guy. BASS ON

HCCA for the win! Ive always loved the look and prestige of those subs. Couldnt imagine why...
Let's Go! Can't wait to see Orion HCCA SPLX, not just regular Orion HCCA.
Glad you and yours made it through the storm. Thanks for the video, and yes the big Orion would be a awesome video to see as well.

Xtr 15 vs trinity e 15 vs American bass elite 15 would make a great budget video
