I discovered narrowboat vlogs during the lockdown. They’re so relaxing. I agree it’s nice to see a younger couple getting involved. You my friends, along with Cruising the Cut and Narrowboat Experience, have earned yourselves a subscription! 😊😊

tips , change fridge for new low power fridge freeze , add lcd low watt lights , when you wash in the machine ( i have a cold wash machine too ) i just boil water on my wood burning stove and pour that in .gives me a warm wash for free. maybe a small wind turbine for making a few volts extra .but loved the vlog keep it up..and keep the smiles ;)

Great stuff from both of you. Firstly, I am a 65 year old, who has yet to go on a Narrowboat and booked my first holiday next year with the idea of living board with my own boat. However, I also work in global communications for commercial shipping, and my clients want internet connectivity in the middle of the Pacific, let along Northampton! I also understand that even in the UK we have many issues connecting to the internet, especially when being remote. As you will be needing to use Internet on the move, as you are teachers, this can be problematical. There are many different services / solutions available and possibly most will be fine for you, with 4G Omni antenna 's and Peplink modem, etc..However my clients want real range (outside satellite) and our Sputnik antenna (4G LTE) offers 100KM's (60 miles range ) with high speed data and low latency.
I'm enjoying your presentations, thank you. I've missed canal vlogs and am happy to have found yours.I wish I was younger and had more money! The only issue for me who is a bit hard of hearing is the distraction of the background music. I'm looking forward to more of sharing your canal lifestyle. Lesley.

You are going to love the canal life. It's very addictive. When I go away for a few days and leave my boat I find life is pretty hectic or it feels that way because it's soooo peaceful on the canals.

I’ve only just started to watch you tube And came across your video I would be sunbathing on the roof in nice weather! But wow your Mary L is fab! I love your little teddy on your bed And in my opinion it’s spacious for just the two of you I really like your bathroom and kitchen and yes you are right lots of storage space Gosh a washing machine that’s fantastic Can them 2 single beds be made into a double bed? I like your favourite part of your boat I would sit there for hours But what a fantastic video thank you for sharing xx

Nice boat! You're going to love that diesel stove... I have one too. It's a breeze to light, heats the boat up really quickly and, of course, is controllable. Added bonus; no ashes, no smoke no smell. Enjoy!

Thank you for the tour. Its great that you have a job that you can do from your boat. Of all the diverse jobs i have had ..from history teacher to worm farmer i guess the only one that i could transfer to living o a narrow boat would be mural / decorative painter....know anyone that needs a heron in flight...large roses.....what ever? When i see the side of a narrowboat i think...a ha...a canvas to paint.
I love your energy and excitement as you embark on this new adventure together. Personally I can't get enough info and love to view any boats and one day when I can get back to England I hope to have my own. Trains whizzing past in background bring to mind that while I am a fan of trains, doing the living of life at canal speed is more appealing.
From our small amount of experience, you're never too far away from a railway line on a canal
