The Aldi head head office couldn't have been better than the Armitage Shanks factory. They are simply two aspects of the same thing -the same canal, in fact. It's a canal you will never cruise, though, the alimentary canal.

Really appreciate the Coventry Canal. I gave Argy Bargey to a fellow virtual gongoozler for his birthday, and he was all virtual smiles. I've had three greyhounds in the past, all if them ex-racers. You can see one of them, Justin (Just-in-Time racing name) in my profile picture. As long as a greyhound could manage the steps in the boat, I think they'd adapt marvelously to canal life. Just be prepared to give up any thoughts of sitting on any sofa you might have, for they greyhounds find them to be perfectly suited for stretching out. Have you considered a whippet, the greyhounds mid-sized close relative? You might only have to give up a chair! 😉

Hi you 2 . Bit of advice to any boaters. Never stop in the Nuneaton area. It's the badlands. Full of nutters that would burn your boat. Atherstone on the other hand is nice and safe as things go. Regards Dave diesel fitter.

Had to look up the "not for girls" bit about Yorkie (as it's not something found in the US). The only comparable thing I can think of here is beef jerky. Except nobody markets it as just for men. But I don't know a single woman who likes the stuff, so it's inherently become associated with masculinity, I guess.

I am a liverboard and have had three Greyhound dogs in my long time living on a narrow boat. Greyhounds don't need lots of exercise. They are like cheaters short burst and they are done. All my Greyhounds didn't like long walks and preferred to laze around on their beds. Only real problem is when they get old. They suffer with joint pains and will need to be lifted in and out of the boat. They are quite heavy big dogs. But i love them they are sweet and very friendly dogs. Be aware the insurance for old dogs is huge and expensive. It's sad the way insurance companies rip dog lovers off

I think Aldi is a higher caliber in Europe and the UK. In the US, its reputation is for low prices and lower quality.

You want a greyhound? Not the ideal dog for a narrowboat, I suggest. They have a great deal of energy and need LOADS of exercise.
