1997 Honda Helix - How to Restore Badly Oxidized Plastic Parts

  • Please do this at your own risk, especially if you never used a propane torch. do not try this near the gas cap area for obvious reasons.
    This method works amazingly well to remove gray, crusty oxidation from black panels on the Honda Helix (1997 model shown here), and likely other models.

    you can make it look new without all that work with forever black. I use it on my Helix and it makes the inside panels look and even smell like new.

    So painting plastic = bad
    Literally every car.

      Hey.. do what you want. I’ve never had luck with painted plastic parts lasting long without chipping, etc..
