Luckily there are not many light controlled roundabouts where I'm from. They seem dangerous to me suppose the purpose they serve to so that everyone gets a chance to go on a very busy roundabout? Still though, when you are pulling up to a roundabout and even if a light is green it must look scary when there is a hgv heading straight for you.

I wanted to ask, now that I am about to send away my D1 application form for my first driving license, can I go get my first car and be able to drive it home whilst that process is going on or do I have to wait for my license to come through the post back to me before I can do anything like that?
