I agree with what you wrote Garegh62. She's has been won over my Paul Stanley's charm. Paul Stanley's spends two-third's of his book rebutting Peter Criss. Lydia Criss at the end of 2016 said that the only member who told the truth was Ace Frehley. This speaks volumes.
Greg - Shut up you stupid nobody. Forget that he built arguably the most enduring successful music brand in the history of music. Hes just an extremely well rounded articulate man with success you , your kids or grand kids will never have combined. Your not qualified to even have an opinion on the man..... Shut Up......
TDS I neither agree or disagree with anyone's opinions of Stanley Eisen! You thoughts that nobody is entitled to an opinion that isn't yours speaks volumes about YOU! NO ONE ELSE.
No matter what you say Paul Stanley is his own man. He gives you his honest take on his opinion and he does not care what anyone thinks he is who he is like it or not here is what I think. If you do not want to know shut up and do not ask. But don’t hate just because you do not like the answer, you asked. But from Paul’s view point this is what happened or what he thinks do not get bad because his favorite color is blue and yours is Red. We are all different and that is what makes us so awesome. Thanks for being True to your self and who you are. Glad you found what you were searching for your whole life your wife and kids. Once again ut comes back to family. That is the most important thing!
Books like GAZA: an inquest into its martyrdom don't even chart their actual sales on the New York Times, lol - these so-called journalists pretend the many human rights reports don't exist.
I like Paul's answer to a question at 1:12:00, "Don't make life hard on yourself and place yourself in a position where people can be mean; you have a choice in the matter".
Today I found this video and after watching just a few minuets of it the level of respect/Love for Paul Stanley went through the roof. Such a wonderful man
Paul has grown to be my favorite human on earth. I met him in 2000 and talked at a Coffee shop for a half hour and can honestly say this is the real guy. Genuine, humble and a love for life. He's a true inspiration in my life and someone I wish I could have as a friend to confide in. I'm sure many people feel this way being he's magnetic.
Paul Stanley is one of the most intelligent man, if not the most, in the world of rock & roll. He's very articulated, and convey his thoughts with so much clarity and impact. A talented musician, businessman, family man and human being given back, sharing his wisdom.
We took my 4 yo Grandaughter to see Kiss on September 26th. It was her 1st Concert and she’s a huge Kiss Fan and through her, I am now a Kiss Fan! Watching several interviews of Paul, I’m so smitten with him! What an amazing man!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Paul! You were the reason I have played guitar for 35+ years, you have inspired countless thousands of children to play music. I am one of them.
I can remember my first KISS poster I won at a local amusement park. www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiem43r05vnAhURLKwKHf16ABwQjRx6BAgBEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.collectors.com%2Fentertainment-item%2Fkiss-1975-alive-i-sweden-swedish-poster-magazine-1970s-rare%2F679082510604074587&psig=AOvVaw2uSGrYNYlDRj9Fnl4O8Siq&ust=1579935293044516
I have always loved hearing Paul Stanley interviews. This one tops them all. He has the perfect blend of intelligence, humour, honesty, wit, one liners & he's still somewhat in performance mode when he's being interviewed in a very enjoyable way. If he seems arrogant........................................he deserves to be!!!
Been a KISS fan forever. Had all the.albums at one time the four KISS dolls. My brother broke some albums have others he gave away along with the KISS dolls. Never forgave him. Love this interview Paul always seems a little insecure until the clothes and makeup...it's amazing the Star Man turns a super star...love you guys
Why do you repeat yourself like 10 times? Do you have a mental disability? I think you do. I don't watch your videos, I have no interest in you, your life or what you think you can do to me. Please stop wasting my time :)
You want a tip? Give up guitar. I don't know why you keep bagging out CTFxC, are you jealous of them or something? You preach that people shouldn't be assholes on here but what are you doing?
Anyway, have a good night MOUNTAINOUS , I'm not from America so don't go off on a tangent about how it's not night wherever you are, I don't care. You keep working on your English skills, you'll get there, tiger.
you know...i've never been the biggest KISS fan.....but to take on the world, struggle , and come out on top....Paul's done that....this was inspiring and Paul is tremendous....he has great competetive spirit and that's what it takes...and i think ill grab that book to read...fantastic interview , advices, and now i have something extra to communicate to my nephew who is making his way through adolescence with some difficulties on wanting to be different ...
Absolutely the BEST most honest interview I have ever heard from Paul Stanley. I knew he was much more than the rock and roll sound bites that you always hear. I will be getting his book for sure...
As always Paul is an eloquent and honest speaker, his life has been a victory over setbacks and changing trends. He's always a great interview and this one especially so.
I can relate to Paul when it came to the cruel teasing that he went through. I was teased & picked on as a kid & didn't learn how to fight back until I was a senior in high school. That was when I hit my breaking point and made people understand that I'm not going to put up with anyone's bullshit! No, I didn't become the school bully, I just made them open their eyes to the fact that I just wasn't going to take anymore! Good for him that he started to fight back!!! I love Paul Stanley and always will!!
Eloquent, articulate and honest, arrogance and self-belief are separated by a thin veil, Paul Stanley proves that it is possible by staying balanced and humble that all is possible. Your philosophy in life is such an inspiration, god bless.
You go Paul! It's good to see someone in the entertainment industry that didn't end up over-dosed or on skid row! I think this is the sharpest guy in the entertainment industry.
Sharp or just pandering shrewd. The truth to Paul Stanley is the truth only at the exact moment he says it. Between him and Simmons, they could single-handedly make every polygraph in the country spontaneously combust and explode like a Spinal Tap drummer.
Fantastic interview! I'm reading this fabulous book. It's literally a magical and inspiring journey through music and life. Paul Stanley has always been my idol...he has inspired me from when I was 12yo and I bought my first KISS album Crazy Night. Thanks for this wonderful present which I'm sure can enlighten anyone who loves music!
Thanks for this upload - this is a GREAT interview session. Proof positive that KISS is not the typical rock band fueled by drugs & alcohol. KISS is a band that truly cares about their fans. I've met them twice - both times they treated me like I was the only guy in line. BOTH times they stayed until all the fans were taken care of - not just the allotted time. Thanks for the memories guys. KISS ARMY RULES!
A great man, a great musician, and a great teacher! I can only count 4 people (or bands) on one hand that I call HEROES. Paul IS one of those people. Thanks Paul for being there for us for 40 years.
Paul is my favorite Rocker since the 70's and that hasn't changed. I have come to appreciate song he has written as I, over the year, would experience times and could then really relate to the message he was trying to get across. The idea of living life your way and no listening to the naysayers has turned me in a success and I love life as do my kiddos. They too will learn the way. Thanks Paul. Your the best.
im 22 years old and simply adore this guy! to this day! hes a simply loving and caring guy! (: hes been through so much shit in his life but is still a great guy! and has humor! he truly amazes me! i love you so much paul!
I have had the opportunity to know Paul on a personal basis ✨ We met years back, I traveled with him and KISS✨✨ a very exciting time of my life. He was and still is a very loving and gentle soul. All the bullshit about him being gay is just that “BULLSHIT , Paul was and I am sure still is a very sensual lover✨ Paul is very smart and just a great guy-we remain friends to this day✌️
The KISS legacy is the show itself - and the commitment to the fans as Paul says here. As a young teen in 77, I remember wanting desperately to see them live. I had just purchased Alive II, and while the antics and fire breathing were only images on the album cover, I felt I was there. As I got older, I was embarrassed to admit that I liked KISS, and started listening to more 'serious' bands like Van Halen or AC/DC. But years later, I got the chance to see KISS live, and the show was everything I hoped for as a kid - in fact it was so nostalgic it brought a tear to my eye - thanks Paul and Gene, and Ace and Peter too, for all that you have done for rock.
Wow... what a wonderful interview and I've only seen the first 26 minutes of it so far. Forget the celebrity talk... my daughter was born with a cleft palette and even with the best medical treatment here in the United States (better than anywhere else) the slight line gets noticed sometimes and all the ordinary, shallow, self-absorbed, people with low self esteem will notice. I loved Paul's statement on critics being bitings insects that you swat or ignore. The thing that struck a chord with me is the graceful angelic attitude towards the crappy Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We see bands like U2 and Nirvana (no disrespect to these bands) get inducted a day after their 25 years in music while a powerhouse band like Deep Purple get into that "exclusive" septic tank almost 25 years after they have earned the right to be there by people who have never played music or formed a band. kiss was the first example that really came to light how the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is now the money worshiping, soul bankrupt, entity that values pop of the moment over real talent in music which is called now the Jan Werner hall of shame. If I misspelled his name... so what and fuck him... punk, creativity, talent, and being "different" like my daughter, Chloe, has no place in that sham of normal, wearing their souls on their faces/money, and talentless fizzy doo-sh bags called the Rock in Roll hall of Shame. Real Rock lives without your dead zombie notice. Do us a favor and be a walker on the Walking Dead that Daryl puts an aroow in your head. `nuff said... High Five to Fur... Kiss and all their members rule in the hearts who love them. Amen
I love how he uses words. Intelligent, cool humor, eacy on the eyes. Can't get enough of this hugely gifted man. God was good to us when he made that man. 😉
I saw "Kiss" at Nassau Coliseum back in 1979. On the cusp of the 80's just hearing the incredible "Rappers Delight". My first concert could've been "The Jacksons". Instead it was this great Band "Kiss". I loved the concert. I loved the music. I loved the theatre aspect of it all. They influenced my brand of Entertainment for years. I look back and see why I did some of the things I did. I have no regrets. The LIfe isn't perfect. But, its the choices you make and how you deal with those choices is what makes or breaks you. The Rolling Stones magazine were responsible for a lot of the racial divide in music. Rock N Roll versus Soul Music. It's all Soul Music. That's what the kids are telling us today. It's all greatness. Kiss is a great American Rock N Roll Band.
1:12:12 the woman who was speaking is my mother! & I’m Brandon I’ve loved KISS ever since I was 5 years old!! Growing up homeless and my parents fighting everyday to provide for us! The number one thing they did was we shared time with listening to KISS and using our First Act guitars, And KISS gave us hope! As my mother said we didn’t have friends but we had KISS!!! 9-10 years later we’ve been to 16 KISS concerts and also saw Paul Stanley on his “Live To Win “ tour twice!!!! I was so scary because you never know how some who’s a rockstar/celebrity would react! BUT! The kind and deeps words will live with me until the end!!! I wish I had it on tape but I was in line to get a picture with him and his security kept telling him “We has to go”
Im a huge KISS fan. Been to over 30 shows. Love Paul. Hes such a smart man. KISS lasted all these years because he always put the band first. Didnt want anything else. When they started playing the first 3 records didnt do so good. But they kept pushing forward. KISS Alive hit the streets and they took off. And the rest is KISSTORY😊
Paul Stanley and Kiss in general are just so groundbreaking and so amazing the stuff they’ve come up with from the great style of rock n roll they play to the groundbreaking show and characters they’ve created is really something, they really are the hardest working band of all time and seeing Kiss love you always know your going to get your moneys worth and then some, Forever Kiss!
These guys are really smart and really well spoken. Know wonder they have written and can play so many truly great, fun and catchy all-time classic songs. Theyre pretty damn impressive man.
ALIVE! 2 albums, 2 8 tracks, 2 cassettes. I wore all of this out. I wore headphones so my ears would ring. Just like the concert. I would listen on my friend’s album. This never gets old. My fav is Cold Gin. That whole album. ALWAYS LIVE! The best for all of you. Don’t forget us. Please.
Apparently...someone was not listening to the whole conversation &/or reasoning. This does not make Paul a hypocrite. He is honest about the occurrences throughout his life in KISS, family and otherwise, which included the original four members of KISS. So what if the audience shouted of original songs, I would too as well as other KISS songs or albums. This was a band that was doubted from the start but they believed in themselves and made it a reality of ROCK N ROLL...FAN-tastic!!! They gave it their ALL...original members or other members. KISS was/is one of my favorite BANDS & always will be. Just wish I could have been more involved. I have met more JERKS in real life who are haters, could not tell the truth to save their souls & would stab you in the back in a heartbeat if you would turn to walk away...those people still exist & are a dime a bakers dozen. I am glad KISS is into their music instead of drugs, etc...again...FAN-tastic!!! METAL HORNS UP TO YOU GUYS...THE HOTTEST BAND IN WORLD...KISS!!!
I am not a fan of non fiction. But Paul's book was my first one that i ever tried to read . I absolutly loved it. First ever non fiction book i ever read and it was amazing. I love Kiss and Paul's story and his journey. Keep it going Paul. Big huge fan
Who would have thought that Stanley was teased as a young kid? I thought he was the most handsome KISS member, and turns out he's also beautiful/handsome inside.
A true bad ass. Confident. Paul is the perfect example “only learn from your experiences and no sorrow/regrets.” He never lost sight of how he envisioned his future without ever allowing setbacks to derail you.
I was never a KISS fan, but now after all these years and I’m now a part-time musician in my own band, I am more open-minded to different music and musicians and I think KISS is a great band. A very entertaining band, and it’s all about the entertainment.
I have autism and during my grade 8 year, I was bullied every day just for having autism and I have a string in my hands all the time that I flick around. My teachers did nothing to help me so I was alone, scared, and sad all the time. I used to be confident and strong up until my grade 8 year because after grade 7 I moved away and I was alone throughout the entire year. But Kiss helped me get through that year and I even found Turn On The Night which became my favourite kiss song. The song A Million To One became my ranting song at the teachers and students at my old school. Eventually I bought Paul’s book on my phone and I relate with him in so many ways. We both were born with something that made us different from the others like with his microtia and my autism and we both were bullied for it. We both had doubt problems but we managed to solve them through helping others and revealing our past. I’m in a better school now and I don’t have my self doubt problems anymore and I’m a lot more confident than who I used to be. Paul is still an inspiration for me to this day and I’m in a group called Show Choir and I’m performing on big shows and I want to become a rockstar when I’m older and it’s all thanks to this amazing rockstar! Paul, thank you
Thanks! It means a lot to me. I’m still going and I’m never giving up. I’m performing at Disney World soon and I’m really excited. Hopefully I will become a rockstar in the future
Paul Stanley is the greatest Rock Star period. Listen to the man talk. He at his peak has to be up there with one of the greatest entertainers of all time
just watched this video. if it was not rehearsed i applaud you. i had no idea that you are as educated and intelligent as you are. i followed kiss since they began. hell peter criss inspired me to play drums. man they sounded like cannons when he played. i never got to meet you but i still have hope in my life that i could meet you all in person together. that is what i want before i pass.
Mr son was born with a cleft lip and palate and had to have 23 surgeries to fix everything! My husband and I made sure that he had enough confidence building opportunities so he wouldn’t feel “less than”. He is now a pilot for Delta Airlines, has a super great wife and they are looking at having kids someday. What you said about facial deformities rings true. We did exactly what you decribed …we didn’t allow him to play the victim but acknowledged that he had issues to overcome. He also had a strong faith in God which helped him get through all the surgeries!
Great interview - Paul Stanley is not your typical "Rock Star," he's much bigger and better than that. After selling over 1oo million albums the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should be ashamed of themselves not inducting KISS many years ago. Obviously, the people have voted over and over for many years with their hard earned money buying their records.
I cant imagine a conversation with this man. Paul Stanley is truly amazing. Throughout all the money and fame, hes still an amazing human being who I look up too.
What a well spoken intelligent man. Clearly a sober and grounded Rock Star after 40+ years. Kudos to you Mr. Stanley.

@Garegh62 well they are Loyal fans. Paul, Gene and the band earned those fans.
A very powerful and intelligent man .......Thank you Paul for your honesty and for giving us your wonderful music for years !!!!!
Whoah now, save some of Paul's penis for the rest of us! Spit it out, you greedy animal!
I could listen to Paul talk for hours. Paul has always been the backbone of kiss. Without Paul kiss would of ended in the 70’s.
Well, maybe not 70's... but the 80's for sure !!!
Paul Stanley thank God you wrote the face the music book I know how difficult
No matter what you say Paul Stanley is his own man. He gives you his honest take on his opinion and he does not care what anyone thinks he is who he is like it or not here is what I think. true but he needed gene also. they both made it work throught there desire to suceed and strong work ethic, it was ment to be that they met,,
Paul is so brilliantly Honest. That's what I Love the most
Books like GAZA: an inquest into its martyrdom don't even chart their actual sales on the New York Times, lol - these so-called journalists pretend the many human rights reports don't exist.
Every single answer was wise and intelligent. His success was well earned and deserved.
I like Paul's answer to a question at 1:12:00, "Don't make life hard on yourself and place yourself in a position where people can be mean; you have a choice in the matter".

To me he is very convincing. I can't help but to like him and wish nothing but the best of luck and health.
“Did you read the other members books?”
“I’m not a fan of fiction.” 🤣🤣🤣

I have a bridge to sell you.
You've got to be fucking kidding me. Honesty and integrity?
***** Well said. Without Paul Stanley KISS never would have existed.
Stephen Borkowski There's a difference between a band's existence and some guy's honesty and integrity. Stanley has neither.
as he says he was there you weren't

Amen
Paul Stanley is classy, smart and still a hot sexy babe!!! Gorgeous man!!!!
A great man with a big heart
So much RESPECT for Paul Stanley and Kiss the band .
I love how he uses words. Intelligent, cool humor, eacy on the eyes. Can't get enough of this hugely gifted man.
God was good to us when he made that man. 😉
This is one of my favorite things Paul has done. It gives him a much more personable identity.
I love paul Stanley so much. Hes found his fame and success and hes not afraid to share his story and help others out
I saw "Kiss" at Nassau Coliseum back in 1979.
Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park should be forever streaming on netflix by now.
Kiss meets the Phantom was the Number 1 movie in 1977.. as terrible as the move was it was number 1 which is rarely talked about
It’s one of my favourite movies😂
Its one of the reasons how I ended up being a kiss fan
Paul that child calling you Mr. Stanley it’s called respect and you earned it.
That was great, a very interesting man.
I had a great time! I was able to get a discounted ticket and got my book signed afterwards. I'm glad I went!
I was here at this event. This was such a great place to be.
Well, good for you..Now get those grades up and play Magic touch ! haha
pathaden Who is this??
pathaden Ohhhh 😂
Woah! That woulda been amazing!
Please.
Paul and Gene are unique in that they acknowledge the fans made them successful.
amazing interview.thank you for posting
But Paul's book was my first one that i ever tried to read
Fantastic interview Paul Stanley 💗
Paul, thank you
What an amazing story! Keep going and I hope to see you rocking out on a stage some day 😀😎
Thanks! It means a lot to me. I’m still going and I’m never giving up. I’m performing at Disney World soon and I’m really excited. Hopefully I will become a rockstar in the future

😀✌
Great, great. Thank you. Thank you.
ROCK LEGEND! At least until the sun burns itself out...
Big shout to Paul for what he said about wounded warrior project @ 60:00
Paul Stanley is the greatest Rock Star period.
Listen to the man talk. He at his peak has to be up there with one of the greatest entertainers of all time
he got cool voice even when he just speak!! awesome!!!
Very wise words from Paul
just watched this video. if it was not rehearsed i applaud you. i had no idea that you are as educated and intelligent as you are. i followed kiss since they began. hell peter criss inspired me to play drums. man they sounded like cannons when he played. i never got to meet you but i still have hope in my life that i could meet you all in person together. that is what i want before i pass.
I coud listen you hour and hour.
amazing interview!!
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
LOVE YA PAUL..
Just finished the audio book, alreading loving this interview. A true gentle man in a rock n roll way.
Paul is totally right! 👍much love 🎸🎶🎤⭐
Great interview Paul! It's so nice rea
Great interview - Paul Stanley is not your typical "Rock Star," he's much bigger and better than that. After selling over 1oo million albums the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should be ashamed of themselves not inducting KISS many years ago. Obviously, the people have voted over and over for many years with their hard earned money buying their records.
happened upon this interview ... LOVE Paul Stanley! What a lovely man
I really enjoyed listening to his audiobook..right here on Utube.
He narrates it and does an excellent job..it puts me RIGHT TO SLEEP
I cant imagine a conversation with this man. Paul Stanley is truly amazing. Throughout all the money and fame, hes still an amazing human being who I look up too.
he wasnt SUPPOSED TO BE THE FINAL PHANTOM
HE KILLED THE SHOW
Interesting conversation. Refreshing to witness someone at that level of fame being so humble and well grounded. Smart guy and plays his cards well.
