@@BR-it2qe the Jewish people were chosen by God not because they were great, but the complete opposite. If you read the Old Testament, the Jewish leaders fail miserably time and time again. The point was for it to show God’s power and God’s goodness through a group of flawed people. If God could do great things through bad people, then he could do great things through all of us. The scriptures never exalt the Jewish people above other nations. The only time they are described as “better” is when they are obeying God, which is less often then you might think. So no, they were not chosen because they were better. They were chosen because they are just like everyone else in nature and were merely used as a demonstration of God’s grace, power, love, and judgment until the coming of Christ. It’s meant to serve as a reminder that we all have sinned and fallen short of the standard of God. I think the pragmatic argument is that if an insular subsection of an equality based population is operating unequally because they believe each other chosen, through time, outsized resource acquisition within that insular community that would not occur if said belief system weren’t in place becomes a problem for the majority expected not to engage in that same behavior because if they did, it would behoove the majority to remove the insular fraction of the population openly operating in their own separate interest.

This includes things like favorably rates, handshake good faith transactions, and helping to grow eachother’s businesses because we’re both chosen people. When this occurs in a larger civilization like America, in which things like ethnicity or religion are meant to play no part in who you favor in business (meritocracy), over time it leads to we Jews having more wealth and higher station than would be expected given our demographic size. This is not a merit based system and the hypocrisy of our tribalism within a meritocratic society it would not be lost on members of the majority. Tribalism buttressed by religion as an excuse for colonialism and genocide. It’s a pattern that repeats ad infimatum throughout history. Jewish conquest of Canaan (although scholars don’t actually think this happened) Armenian Genocide Japanese Imperialism Manifest Destiny European colonization of almost everywhere Ect.
it's not that they think they're the chosen one, it's the subversive actions and hypocrisy at people's expense is the problem. ex: central banking and profiting off peoples debt with high interest rates for starters......
That's more recent. They've been hated because of their religious belief for thousands of years. Yes, i think Isreal became quite hypocrite after WW2 but i don't believe a government in any country actualy represents the actual beliefs of all it's citizens.
The difference is that Jews traditionally would not eat with or intermarry with other nations. People resent that sort of thing. They also often suffered economically from Jewish mutual assistance. Of course, none of that excuses violent anti-semitism.
If I may, most minorities have historically done the same, which is why there's a Little Italy and a China Town in every city. Also, if anything, countries profit from this. If a Jew has a company that makes millions, they pay taxes. If they invent and patent something, the public can enjoy it. Let's not forget people like Dr Salk, who CURED POLIO and didn't want a dime for it. I think many people in the comments just read something somewhere and need an excuse to let out some anger, you can't consider 14 million people responsible because (surprise surprise) there are assholes and racists even among Jews. Just my two cents, have a nice day!
@@tommythecat4961Sorry, but that’s simply false. The tendency for expatriates to seek one another’s company is not at all similar to the overarching religious requirement to be separate, a fact which has led to hostility since antiquity. However much kings and states may benefit from economic activity, it is at an individual level that people feel excluded and unable to compete. @@davethebrahman9870 I'm sorry, didn't mean to imply you were doing it at all. I'm just saying lumping together all Jews and explaining historical, economical and social tendencies in a couple sentences is naive at best, dangerous at worst. There are whole books dedicated to the reasons of Jewish success throughout history, yet many armchair historians in the comments seem to have every answer. It's honestly frustrating and, to me, horrifying the degree of animosity there still is in the 21st century.
He admits that much of humanity is deeply insecure for hundreds of years. I mean if this is true, then this is the biggest "so you think your better than me" outrage. From the comments, this is hilarious.
Food for thought: In the Bible, David does not have a star for a sign, because that would be breaking the second commandment. The star.of david is actually the star of molech, which is one of the deities the heathens served when the israelites reclaimed canaan. Also, they rejected Jesus as the messiah, but you don't see them keeping the laws of moses either: like offering animals on an altar for their sins.
@@garybuck6535 This just brings more questions: How could they then sacrifice from Abraham's time to Moses's time? And how can they now believe that their sins are forgiven if they have neither sacrificed, nor accepted Jesus for the las 2000 years?? If they need the temple for sacrifice, why do they not need the temple for circumcision? But they went after molech even in the time of the prophets, so the temple is not really an excuse. Also, why not build a tabernacle until the temple can be re-build (seeing as they believe one day God will have them build one again)?
"Chosen has never meant better." Uhhh.. from talking to alot of my Jewish friends about religious topics that isn't correct at all. Most of them seemed to believe since they were God's chosen people that meant they were better than everyone else. This was I'd say 90% of their views, and stuff like this is taught by parents/grandparents/etc, so it's not like only a small group of their community believes "chosen doesn't mean better."
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
"Do I think I am better than everyone else? No. But G-d does. G-d said that we are the chosen people and who am I to deny that?" Although I am paraphrasing, this was said by a Jew.

When this occurs in a larger civilization like America, in which things like ethnicity or religion are meant to play no part in who you favor in business (meritocracy), over time it leads to we Jews having more wealth and higher station than would be expected given our demographic size.
We prioritize our outgoing business to other Jewish business owners and are willing to accept business from anyone. We extend favorable arrangements to work our communities children into high quality private Jewish schools while loudly supporting the public school system. We also lobby for a more and more egalitarian American society in which to operare, so as to encourage more gentile business (who are encouraged to work with people not based on facial or religious identity) to be captured within the Jewish market (who do not encourage such practices within our community because we believe we are the chosen shepherds of the world).
This is not a merit based system and the hypocrisy of our tribalism within a meritocratic society it would not be lost on members of the majority. Were the American majority (white Christians) to begin to operate in a similar manner or demand no one engage in such cultural practices any more, they would take offense to our use of a Jewish dominated media to proclaim equity and true egalitarianism while actively encouraging and engaging in ethnic and religious identity based business practices for our Jewish community. I see the New Testament only as a further development of Judaism.
Or as a further development of the psyche, a liberation from slavery within the soul.
There, a psychopathic character is no longer projected onto God, or equated with strength, but empathy is strength instead.
After all, it should be clear that if a people is enslaved for centuries, then this has an effect on the idea of strength, on the criteria assigned to the Lord.
And it must have been some sickly narcissistic psychopath who thought he was the sun.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure that at that time it was really believed that the sun was God and in the end it was also believed that the Pharaoh was.
How and where do you hide from such a pharaoh, or from the sun when you are on the run?
What about all the underground cities in Turkey and this region? Why do Muslims hide alcohol under the table?
Maybe it’s because the sun can’t look there. .
Anyway, I don’t want the subject of self-deception to be pointed at just one people, the whole of humanity lies to itself.
Without truthfulness, we will all perish.

Why are white western people not allowed to be proud?
@@Ztygs can I try to answer you? It's a matter of language. Only in the US (or almost only) do people think in terms of white and black, but those are not heritages, they're colors. If you're Irish American, German American or Norwegian American (all white) nobody will say anything if you celebrate it, but people who are "proud of being white" tend to be supremacists, which is different. Overall you appear to be white or white passing. Now if you were Asian and faced bigotry and bullying directly for being Asian, then there would be some type of correlation or intersection. But just making a statement that you can be proud of whatever race you are - does not connect to the point of Anti-semitism,. In which a Jewish person can be proud of who they are as a Jewish person.
