Raphael, on the bottom of your stove are small "legs" that you can twist up or down to raise and lower your stove. If the oil is deeper toward you when you cook, just twist the legs counter clockwise.

Hi sweetie, here is how you deep fry melty things (you can even deep fry ice cream that way): you do exactly what you did with the flour, eggs and breadcrumbs, then you freeze it until completely solid. Then you do the flour - eggs - breadcrumbs one more time to the frozen object. Now that it is double breaded, it doesn't leak as quickly. Also you can deep fry until the exterior is perfect and then put it in the oven at a lowish temperature until the interior is warm. You're welcome, your chef friend ;)

Love Monte Christo sandwiches. They are not exclusive to Disney. Perkins restaurants used to serve them. I don't know if they still do.
Keep in mind that when that cookbook was written a slice of ham wouldn't be paper thin like what you are using. The turkey and the hame would most likely be 1/4" thick.

This is fun! I love this! As a Disney enthusiast, I don’t think a lot of this stuff is at the parks anymore 😂 but I saw a salmon mousse on there which sounds horrible and I think you should make it

My mother has both of those recipe books. We have been making Monte Cristo Sandwiches for years and I mean years. I'm 51. It was a treat for us everytime we went to The Blue Bayou which was on the patio over looking the beginning of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The clam chowder recipe is really good too.

BTW I was born in the 70's I graduated from high school in 1989 so you thinking that we didn't have color tv and everything was still in black and white is cute.

If u put your plastic wrap in the freezer for a while before using it, it won't stick to itself when unwrapping it!

My mom has both of those books xD. And as for the cheese sticks, smaller yes lol . But double dredge it. Flower, Egg, Flower, Egg then bread crumb and then freeze. It will create a thicker shell and by the time the cheese is fully melted the shell with will be fried and hold it in.

Monte Cristos now is served with grape jelly or raspberry jam. Currents aren't really a thing here in the states. Now in the UK, they have currents, and not much grape flavor!

Next time roll the cookie dough into a log, then slice it thin. Bake those next. Yes, make more recipes from the book. Oh and on the next batch of cookie, dough use butter flavored CRISCO.
