Here's a little secret about America, everything looks great on the outside but most times there's not much going on inside. That goes for people too not just products 😂😂
Okay two things: here in Sicily, Italy we have a savoury dish called “mattonella palermitana” which basically has the condiments of pizza, and sometimes ham, inside sort of a sweet croissant dough. So when you think about it that croissant pizza wasn’t that weird. Second thing, the label “gluten free” is written on things that are “obviously” gluten free because celiacs could get sick even just with contaminations. Meaning that if the factory that made that “naturally” gluten free product also made another product that has gluten in it they cannot guarantee that it’s not contaminated and therefore they cannot say it’s safe for celiacs to consume
I don’t think the French would have any problem with the croissant pizza. When Iv been to France i’v seen bakeries with croissants made into mini pizzas. So having a full size pizza with a croissant base sounds delicious and the French would probably happily buy it.
@@esra72 Italians already have to deal with Americans calling pasta "noodles". I don't get why it's so confusing to America.. Pasta is Italian. Noodles are Asian. . . And I'm not ashamed to say YES it triggers me 😄

Cookies need to be baked on a cookie sheet. Your pan traps the heat and over bakes the edges. Also, make sure the cookie dough is very cold or even frozen if you want them very soft inside.
The cookies got over cooked because it was just 4 and the 16-20 min time frame is for all 12 at once.. If I make less cookies at a time I gotta check them early (around 9-10 min for this kind ) and they’re usually done early.
If you paid 200 on the oreo Ritz I feel bad. They are now 40 bucks on ebay tons of them. Also you can make them yourself for the cost of a oreo and Ritz package. I look forward to your vids so much!!!! As someone who has lived in the southern part of America their whole life and has never traveled to another country these vids are so insightful and interesting
I buy those refrigerated pre made cookies all the time, all different brands (can't believe they don't have this product in the UK) but the baking directions are ALWAYS WRONG, no matter what brand. They always instruct to bake about 3-5 minutes too long! Consistently! It's crazy. Always, always underbake by at least 3 minutes for a very good cookie!
I've seen your first shopping trip to the grocery stores and the recipe knock offs. I absolutely love your channel and believe that someone would be mean to you. Subscribed
I have a serious question. Rapha, how were you able to open all of those chip and cereal packages at the top without ripping them and the food going everywhere?? You are truly a magical being.
I was so excited when you showed your laptop exporting this video! I swear I can watch your videos over and over again. This one will definitely be one of them. I was questioning the DiGiorno croissant pizza when I saw it at the store but now I gotta try them. It surprisingly looks very good for a frozen pizza. And those Cheetos mac n cheese are a staple in my household. I literally hoard them lol
Pro baking tip: when you bake anything on dark pans or glass pans, you need to reduce the baking temperature by 25⁰ F. For example, if the instructions say to bake at 350⁰ F for 15 minutes, reduce the baking temperature to 325⁰ F and bake for 15 minutes. Glass/dark surfaces conduct heat differently which is likely why your cookies were a bit over done!
unfortunately he has one just doesn't really care to use it, it makes me kinda mad but mostly just confused on why he bought it if he didn't want to use it??
"I bought this myself and I don't even believe this is real" and "They're not shy about the potato chip. They are proud of the potato chip." are some of the most relatable American sentences this American has ever heard.
Cereal ABSOLUTELY goes FIRST. I cannot believe you put milk first 😭. I think of it like ice. You put ice in a glass of water first so it doesn’t overflow. Also in general the cereal is what you want more of so you put that first. I put cereal first then as I pour the milk, I can see the level that would get me the perfect amount in each bite.
I do milk first. But I also have issues with soggy textures plus i eat slowly, so I just put lil bit of cereal at a time so it never gets soggy.. 😅 highlights of autism with food aversion
@@heavenkaercher9236 I'm autistic but I like cereal first like it's filling the space. I don't tend to have the cereal get too soggy for me.I do however pour the milk off the spoon with each bite and never have a milk filled bite (but still want the cereal not to be dry though but don't really consume cereal milk). I don't drink it from the bowl either, the idea bothers me.
Imagine worrying about a thickener called carrageenan in jello when ur literally eating hundreds of chemicals & preservatives most of which u can't pronounce & are banned in Europe 😂
I love it how you actually are testing new products and not the ones everybody already knows from the ‘testing american snacks videos back from 2012-ich’ It makes me wanna move to america even moooore 🤤
I just had to stop and say, with that Parkay spreadable butter, in the '90s, it also came in blue and pink. It was gross and had a weird texture. I see it's the same way today! There also used to be green and purple ketchup back then, if you didn't know. It was definitely an interesting time in America.
We don't realize how lucky we are when it comes to food items in America until Raphael tells us these normal every day things to us is no where else! 😮
I'm not sure if you can say that's lucky though... I live in Europe, we don't have access to part of this chemical junk and I'm not sorry about it! I imagine telling my kids in the store no you can't have this, no not that. Of course we have lots of unhealthy things as well, but American junk food honors the word JUNK.
I wouldn’t say we’re lucky, I discovered I’m anaphylactics to red dye and never realized how terrible red dye, especially red 40 is for you. It’s banned in most if not all countries besides America and it’s in everything here, it’s a leading cause to cancer which is why it’s banned everywhere else!! Even in medicine!! In things that aren’t red I’ve had many white medicine have red dye, it’s terrible.
Daaamn alot of hate here i see...lucky in that fact we HAVE food and A variety of it! Don't buy that bad shit for you then if you don't like it..there is many healthy foods too...
Your food is the reason why you have the largest obesity problem in the world, more isn't always better. You are lucky to have food but most western countries have plenty of food but chose to actually worry about their citizens health. We have a lot less crap than you and we can afford to get big because our health system is completely free!!!!
hahah when I saw the croissant pizza I literally bursted into laughter :') In Italy we use puff pastry a lot for appetizers, so you will often find mini pizzas made of it and that will probably taste the same. Kudos to Digiorno for branding it as Croissant pizza cause they made something totally unoriginal sound like the greatest invention of all times. CHAPEAU as the french would saaaay
Croissants aren't ever usually made of puff pastry, whilst they might look a little similar, croissant pastry contains yeast, which allows (when cooked) to have a lighter, and softer texture, especially on the inside. Croissant pastry is usually more flakey, whereas puff pastry is flaky, but it's layers come off evenly where croissants kind of just flake. Also the obvious point here would be croissants are (in most cases) sweet, and puff pastry is savoury.
Man, I'd be the PERFECT shopping assistant for this! I'm that annoying chick pouring over every single product in the store looking for new/crazy/gross things I've never seen or tried before and I get super excited genuinely about it....even though I usually don't even end up buying it lol idk why!??

Hey Rapha! You know, with these long videos, they're so long that I don't have the attention span to watch them all in one sitting XD - I end up breaking it up and watching it in parts. I don't know if I'm the only one, but personally I'd prefer shorter videos (say, up to 20 mins) and maybe you could theme them like, 1.) Video tasting American cereals 2.) Tasting Frozen food 3.) Jello snacks etc etc - that way you get lots of different videos each focusing on a specific kind of food. Just that's what I'd prefer but not sure about how everyone feels - maybe you could do a poll ro something :) I still love watching either way, even if i'm watching one video in episodes! hehe Love you! x
Your awesome! I love the long videos. I love seeing things through others perspectives. Raph: I was a merchandiser for jewelry. One part of the city had different merchandise than another part because it sells better or worse, so it's not available or is available. Same with groceries. My BIL can't find all the flavors of M&Ms that I have and he's one state away. I found graham cracker, carmel, strawberry, mint, the usual peanut, regular, and peanutbutter, dark chocolate and I have yet to find the advertised cookie M&Ms. I've found chocolate covered blueberries, not M&Ms, which were AWESOME. I don't think many people found those, so what you find in your region, I will never find unless I order or travel to where you are located. I've NEVER SEEN THE CHEETOS brand food that you have in your hands, but have you seen RAP SNACKS? My area carries those. So beware, not everything is available e everywhere in the US. 😉. If you have a PO box, like the two English dudes, JOLLIE AND OLLIE? We can send you things we have locally/regionally that you may not have available. Like all the varieties of M&Ms that I have or chocolate covered blueberries rather than chocolate covered cherries. I've only seen it once, but I LOVE CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES (cordials?) AND BLUEBERRIES. And I found dark chocolate covered blueberries and dark chocolate covered pomegranate. They are DELICIOUS!! Oh yes, I found CAFFEINATED DOUGHNUTS and I guess they work!!! Not sure of the flavor, but each packaged doughnut is equal to one cup of coffee! Plus, I found coffee and Coke MIX!!! Flavors, vanilla, dark coffee and caramel! Very nice. Carmel being THE MOST POPULAR, but highest calorie. I am amazed by the mac and cheese flavored ice cream! I know what you mean by liking it, but being taken aback at first. It's an acquired taste... but once you get it, you are hooked!!! I'm not much of an Oreo fan, but my CHIPS A'HOY, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!! LOVE 'EM! I think I'd love the fudge ones and the Reese's ones. Just love choco chip cookies. There used to be an ice cream at Walmart called DIP or something, BEST ICE CREAM. It was like a banana split icecream sundae dip. It had chocolate, nuts, strawberries and strawberry syrup mix in vanilla icecream and chocolate sauce. I am SO SAD IT'S GONE. It could have been a Ben & Jerry's special just for Walmart that summer. Miss it so much! It was PURE PERFECTION!!!
There was a bakery near my work that served croissant crust pizzas. I walked there every single day. It took my entire lunch hour just to walk there and back. I didn't care. I ate while I walked back. I would have run if I had to. They were that good. I put on a few pounds that year. Not sure why
I'm really proud of you for noticing the difference between the International Delight vs. Coffeemate coffee creamer. Only get Coffeemate if you're going for creamers. The quality is way better, so you pay a little more, but you don't need as much for it to actually taste like what it's supposed to taste like.
Hey Rapha! I enjoyed this video and you never fail to be creative & funny😂 you should do a video where you try unique flavors and seasonal foods from stores like Trader Joe’s :)
I’ve tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charm oatmeals and I thought they were pretty good. I don’t like my oatmeal crunchy, I like a mushy oatmeal that’s like a soup. 😅 The Mac and cheese ice cream and gummies don’t sound appetizing and I’ve never seen them in my local Walmart. Maybe I never looked. Idk, but sounds horrifying. I would love to try that DiGiorno croissant pizza, it looked amazing. I’ve tried a breakfast biscuit pizza before and it was alright, I’ve also tried a pretzel pizza and it was okay, as well. I’ll need to pick up one of those croissant pizzas the next time I go to Walmart for grocery shopping. Loved your reaction to our American foods. 😂👏🏽
I've lived in America for my entire life (17 and counting), but I haven't even heard of so many of these products, but I mean my parent still buys the food I eat so lmao
As a French person, I'm not appalled by the croissant pizza (you seem to enjoy it, so it might taste good) but if I want a croissant, I eat a croissant, if I want a pizza, I eat a pizza.... Why mix both? I feel like American people are very attracted to "novelty food", they like to mix and match stuff to make it look crazy, original or impressive just for the sake of it and not for the real interest in terms of taste.
Sometimes when you mix foods you discover combinations that work really well together - it's like creating something actually new - sort of. Croissant pizza is not the same as normal pizza - so there's a place for both. If they taste exactly the same, then you're right, no point in that, but if they taste different enough - I say it's worth trying new things in case you discover something that's better than the original :)
He's so adorable. It's like watching the entire process of an American child coming to terms with the fact that product marketing is all lies in a single sitting.

Yeah I thought Italians would be the one that have a problem with it because they seem way more strict about their food culture.
im French and I have never seen a croissant like pizza in bakeries
@@Jujumines maybe they were in the tourist place I used to go to? It was many years ago so cannot remember where.
@@esra72 Italians already have to deal with Americans calling pasta "noodles". I don't get why it's so confusing to America.. Pasta is Italian. Noodles are Asian.

I really feel like telling you that you should consider a Costco membership. You'll find many interesting and better quality items there. Just know that Costco is bulk item buying. The benefit is their member discounts and rebates. Get the premium membership along with the Costco credit card. The two combined will pay you back for your membership cost many times over in the form of cash back benefits. Also, get your butt over here in Tucson! We have a cute airbnb for you (douceur obviously) when you feel like exploring here. I mentioned this before, but I know you're busy. Love that you are here with us in the US. All the best Rafa.
Cookies need to be baked on a cookie sheet. Your pan traps the heat and over bakes the edges. Also, make sure the cookie dough is very cold or even frozen if you want them very soft inside.
That's good to know, thank you.
And less time
And less time
The cookies got over cooked because it was just 4 and the 16-20 min time frame is for all 12 at once.. If I make less cookies at a time I gotta check them early (around 9-10 min for this kind ) and they’re usually done early.
Raphael I literally live for these videos. Plz don't stop I love seeing ur opinion on American food and restaurants!!
I am absolutely appalled by your cereal preparation 😱😱😱😱 wrong wrong wrong hahah
If you paid 200 on the oreo Ritz I feel bad. They are now 40 bucks on ebay tons of them. Also you can make them yourself for the cost of a oreo and Ritz package. You could of just showed us a clip of the package and then made them for us to try. Don't waste so much money for us. I will watch you no matter what you do for your personality
This. This is everything. I love his complete wonder and bewilderment. Please keep the videos coming!!!
I look forward to your vids so much!!!! As someone who has lived in the southern part of America their whole life and has never traveled to another country these vids are so insightful and interesting
Same I literally adore these videos!!!
The ‘Raphael-isms’ are hilarious!
“What is the Golden Ticket for?! The emergency room?!” 😂
I love your energy and wish you had more weekly videos! You are a breath of fresh air. And Salem is the cutest!!!
I was watching this without realizing that it was an 1h long, that just shows how entertaining he is
I buy those refrigerated pre made cookies all the time, all different brands (can't believe they don't have this product in the UK) but the baking directions are ALWAYS WRONG, no matter what brand.
Subscribed
I’ve lived in America my entire life, 41+ years, and I’ve never seen a lot of these, either. Good job finding such strange products!

I have a serious question. Rapha, how were you able to open all of those chip and cereal packages at the top without ripping them and the food going everywhere?? You are truly a magical being.
Yeah he is.. what a legend. I always fuck up the packaging lol 😂
I’m so glad you’re having so much fun in the US Rapha🇺🇸 very happy you’re here🥰
Raphael moves to the U.S. and proceeds to gain 40 lbs in the first month 🤣
Who thinks Raphael needs to invest in a top view camera? 🙋🏻♀️✋🏻
unfortunately he has one just doesn't really care to use it, it makes me kinda mad but mostly just confused on why he bought it if he didn't want to use it??
"I bought this myself and I don't even believe this is real" and "They're not shy about the potato chip. They are proud of the potato chip." are some of the most relatable American sentences this American has ever heard.
Cereal ABSOLUTELY goes FIRST. I cannot believe you put milk first 😭. I think of it like ice. You put ice in a glass of water first so it doesn’t overflow.
Also in general the cereal is what you want more of so you put that first. I put cereal first then as I pour the milk, I can see the level that would get me the perfect amount in each bite.
I almost stopped watching when he said milk first 😳 Everyone has a right to an opinion but that one is just wrong.
I do milk first. But I also have issues with soggy textures plus i eat slowly, so I just put lil bit of cereal at a time so it never gets soggy.. 😅 highlights of autism with food aversion
CEREAL FIRST, YOU MONSTER!!!!! 🤣
I've never seen milk first. It seems so wrong to me O_O
I don't drink it from the bowl either, the idea bothers me.
omg the look on your face when you bit into the Ritz/Oreo....PRICELESS!😂 Are you salty or sweet, I would have to say neither, I'm BITTER and BROKE!😂😂

Imagine worrying about a thickener called carrageenan in jello when ur literally eating hundreds of chemicals & preservatives most of which u can't pronounce & are banned in Europe 😂
I looked it up and found the flamin' hot Mac n cheese was first available at Walmart on August 8, 2020.

I love it how you actually are testing new products and not the ones everybody already knows from the ‘testing american snacks videos back from 2012-ich’
It makes me wanna move to america even moooore 🤤
I just had to stop and say, with that Parkay spreadable butter, in the '90s, it also came in blue and pink. It was gross and had a weird texture. I see it's the same way today! There also used to be green and purple ketchup back then, if you didn't know. It was definitely an interesting time in America.
You had to remind me didn’t you????🤣🤣🤣
Shrek ketchup!!
I miss the ketchups 🤣
We don't realize how lucky we are when it comes to food items in America until Raphael tells us these normal every day things to us is no where else!
😮
I'm not sure if you can say that's lucky though... I live in Europe, we don't have access to part of this chemical junk and I'm not sorry about it! I imagine telling my kids in the store no you can't have this, no not that. Of course we have lots of unhealthy things as well, but American junk food honors the word JUNK.
Lucky?
I feel like I can make that ritz Oreo myself lol

One of my fav series and a 1h video- much love ❤
Hat's off to his mother, what an amazing young man she raised. I just adore him.
hahah when I saw the croissant pizza I literally bursted into laughter :') In Italy we use puff pastry a lot for appetizers, so you will often find mini pizzas made of it and that will probably taste the same.
You just saved my day with this video! 😮💨💙 Love you Raph!
Genuinely hope your enjoying your move to America!
Man, I'd be the PERFECT shopping assistant for this! He made ramen cheetos made mac and cheese two very different things.
My favorite videos are when he uses tiny hands to make tiny foods, when he recreates a Gordon Ramsay recipe using only audio, and of course ANY where he gets different cakes or creations from different star-rated bakeries! Ohh, and he has a *bunch* of Advent Calendar ones that are really fun !!!!!
I missed you! Glad to see you back! Hope things have been going great for you ❤️
Awesome. I eas just wishing for somethig good to watch lol hope you're enjoying North America! I am in Canada and we don't have a lot of the American things either.
That black baking dishes intensify the heat and adding in the depth of the sides, that is why those cookies over-cooked.
May I suggest retrying the oatmeal with warmed milk. Haven't have any of those just what I do with my oatmeal and might work a little better due to them being cereal inspired.
Cold milk on porridge
Honestly with the cookies you should try freezing it befor you bake them. It’s also good straight from the freezer raw.
I'm french and all I can say about the croissant pizza is that it had to be be made at some point. Is it a great thing ? Idk but it was necessary for science.
I love the firework Oreos like omg
It’s cool to see someone like you that is very creative came up with things not knowing they were real then coming to America and seeing they are. Btw your version of the lucky charms marshmallows are much better then what they made. I’m excited to see if you do some more of that series and make some new things. I hope you get some inspiration here. Even if you don’t love your videos. Always be you no matter what others say.
I accidentally used puff pastry instead of pizza dough (similar packages and product shape) and it was delicious! The pizza croissant made me drool.
I love the way you plop drop scoops of ice cream from a height 😂
There was a bakery near my work that served croissant crust pizzas. I walked there every single day. It took my entire lunch hour just to walk there and back. I didn't care. I ate while I walked back. I would have run if I had to. They were that good.
I put on a few pounds that year. Not sure why
I'm really proud of you for noticing the difference between the International Delight vs. Coffeemate coffee creamer. Only get Coffeemate if you're going for creamers. The quality is way better, so you pay a little more, but you don't need as much for it to actually taste like what it's supposed to taste like.
America’s a real country with real products. You heard it hear first. 🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to America. Packaging makes it seem amazing but it’s always a disappointment 🤣
That mac and cheese ice cream confuses me ..lol.
It genuinely scares me 😭
I just have to say I’m LOVING that you are here now!!

Hey Rapha! I enjoyed this video and you never fail to be creative & funny😂 you should do a video where you try unique flavors and seasonal foods from stores like Trader Joe’s :)
I was hoping to see Salem eating american treats.. maybe Salem can have his own vid reviewing treats
When Raf forgets the French part is the croissant part 😂😂😂
Omg hahah your reaction to the coco puffs oatmeal has me rolling 🤣 😂 💀
If they taste exactly the same, then you're right, no point in that, but if they taste different enough - I say it's worth trying new things in case you discover something that's better than the original :)
they do that to stay relevant, they literally have no real culture, so their culture is to make this kind of things, and to make them quick
It wasn't bad in fact tasted better than their normal rising crust. The breakfast one wasn't too bad.
For that first one the macaroni and cheese I remember watching that video and going oh my gosh I have this in my cabinet sir 🤣
