Something tells me he was a blast to work with on the set. I can't be the only one who was actually upset when they killed him off later on in the series. I always looked forward to his snarky remarks to everyone and frankly he kept the show interesting to watch for quite awhile.
alucard624 Yeah, I was upset too. I didn't like him at first but the more times I re-watch ER, the more I actually love his character. He is honestly great and it's sad they wrote him off they way they did, albeit being a little bit fitting I wish they kept him on the show until the end... When they lost Romano, they not only lost a fantastic doctor, but they lost an amazing antagonist, arguably the last good antagonist on the show.
Ken S. Agreed. Once he left the show, there was no antagonist to keep the other characters on their toes, and it just became a lovefest among the rest of the cast. Boo! Boring!!
alucard624 You know what, after watching up until Season 15 just now, I realized that there was actually a really good other antagonist who also was a surgeon - Dustin Crenshaw. Plus, Dustin also had a cool nickname. Robert had Rocket, Dustin had Dusty.
As annoying as his character was, he was always right about whatever situation or medical issue was happening at the time. His character's severely impaired social skills always prevented him from expressing himself in a way people could comprehend. Amazing professional, difficult person. I work with a few people like that.
It's so weird to see him playing this character when you remember him playing Montgomery in "Fame". Romono would have turned the School of the Arts upside down. LOL!
18 inches long....LOL! Goodness, he was a character I LOVED to hate! He was a total asshole vast majority of the time, but he was amazing to have in the cast.
Paul McCrane as A Person seems like the antithesis of his character which shows he’s an excellent actor and this was an Emmy winning rule even though he never actually won an Emmy

alucard624 I was sad when he died too. He was a really interesting character. #Cordano #otp
+alucard624 I was devastated. He was my favorite.
The best actor in ER ever! Love this guy! 👏👏👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
"I don't want to talk words because I don't know what the hell I'm saying." Love Paul McCrane! Why didn't he get an Emmy for this role?
BEST DAMN CHARACTER IN THE SERIES!!!

Loved the character.

One of my absolute favorite characters on ER!
If they had 45 minutes of this, it would be better than the actual episodes once you get to the tenth season.
That said, this is adorable.
"Yo! I want that coffee!" hahaha
0:40 that is why they call him rocket.
If I'm not mistaken; that's a full blown smooch of Alex Kingston (aka River Song).
*Spoilers.*
Best character of the whole show.
Aww why'd i squeal when Mekhi hugged Paul 💖
Best character on ER, full stop!

Oh god I love him
Fun fact: if you’ve ever seen Rocky 2- at the very beginning there’s a kid in a cast. That kid is Paul McCrane (Dr. Romano)
I like it!
Fun fact.He played Clarence Boddicker's henchman Emil on Robocop. Both characters died a horrible death.
0:40 though~
