Jimmy Gomez I think when your car is so slow that it can't hurt you that it is fun. When y ou actually have real power, then the fun pucker factor is much different.

why does everyone have this idea that BRZs and 86s are supposed to be fast but somehow fail... theyre entry level sports cars mean to give the handling characteristics of a sport coupe, not to mention theyre tuner friendly. Theyre a platform for improvement not a supercar
So true. I had a rwd v6 grand Cherokee that would eat my buddies frs lol. He had to send 3800 on a super charger and get it tuned to barely put down 250 lol. I got video of me beating it on one of my videos lol
The Canucklehead they’re overpriced as shit they should be faster than a 4 cylinder Camry at the very least to be a sports car and the mpg is ass and no it’s not tuner friendly it’s N/A and doesn’t get much power from bolt ons
I've been out of the civic game for a long time but let me tell you these new GENX have got me excited to get one myself. The type r wing really sets off the hatches and I love it. Also screw all these haters, the car looks clean (especially with those white RPF1s on that color) and as long as you enjoy your car as much as the dude driving it does then that's all that matters, peace!
You don't fill a car that has low hp with people and then test the acceleration. Honda has always gone for a good power to weight.
Folks remember that you can have a fast civic 1.5 turbo with the right modifications. A cold air intake, straight piping, exaust system and ecu tuning can get you a 250+ bhp civic and don't forget it's a light car. 0 to 100 in 5.5 seconds easy. Plus you can use the brake hold button as launch mode and it sticks to the ground pretty well.
250+ bhp if its an Si, all the graphs they showcase are on the Si Models when they tune them to 240 bhp, plus an intake and exhaust you upwards of 250+ easy, a Hatch will be 230+ bhp

King Rose War well it depends, I took the hatch as I’m a military member and I need a car that is very spacious to fit various things and the hatch was better for my lifestyle, if not I was getting the si coupe, but to be honest, I think the hatch looks better and I have it in a 6 speed and I’m having quite a lot of fun with it, you’d have to ask someone with an SI for the advice, btw you’ll have to change your clutch for a down pipe as the OEM one will slip, plus the hatch is cheaper by a couple grand and I mean you can get it to SI standard with minimal amounts of $ put down on it. Good luck with your car shopping!

On the real, the Civic hatches are growing on me...still take my WRX but i do miss my Honda cars...
i really do like the hatch aspect. The wrx does get more mad respect though

Bugzee’s Passion guys I love the type r but I am missing the clutch whips like the golf r, seat Leon cupra and many more have ... but now I am thinking of buying a new Sport plus cvt which obviously has these whips on the steering wheel , and then just rebuild a type r .. can you pleas give me some advice where to get these parts like the trunk spoiler?

They really need to offer the Si with a hatch.
The FK7 hatchback is tuner ready. they already have bolt on turbos from PRL for it since last year and tunes. In my opinion, the FK7 is underrated compared to the new Si. the Si sedan only has 20hp more than the Fk7 stock.
Honda doesn't want to cannibalize Type R sales and purposefully underrates the FK7.

Why? Same chassis, engine, and trans. I’m sure the only differences are boost pressure and some suspension bits; which those things can be changed easily.
Si uses the same engine, it doesn't take much to turn a "Sport" to an Si

I have an 18 SI (tune/intake/downpipe/exhaust) and its slow as balls
To be fair, Civics are great cars but the people who own them make em out to be sports cars. Reality is that they're just daily cars that are cheap to tune. But for the honda cultists, they praise honda's and believe other cars aren't as good. I had a ek9 when it first came out, loved the car they're great cars but really honda's are starter cars. Cheap to maintain, drive, tune/upgrade, just an entry car heaven, but staying with those cars for a long time isn't appealing. Truth be told though, if you can find an extremely clean low mileage ek9, s2000, etc they're worth buying and storing. Just remember that even if they're not expensive(except s2k) 10 years from now someone who grew up driving those cars back then will come back and pickup a clean one no doubt and 10 years from now that market will be verrryy small in quantity and being manual you'll attract buyers since the automotive field is going automatic heavy. Even though I have a c63s, i'm looking for a clean under 10k mile ek9 just to store and keep it non modded for the future because it'll come back as an investment.

Just got a 2019 SI, been in my uncles Type R, I also own a corvette C5... love the damn 10th gen civic man I think I’ll be driving it this weekend over the vett, very fun cars

To all the dumbasses saying this car is slow, don't compare it to a muscle car, compare it to the same market its aimed at, Corollas, mazda 3s, focus, etc. For what it is, it is quick. It'll never do a decent 1/4 mile time but the low end boost from it will still surprise you coming from a 1.5. If you look at a mid level civic and expect the performance of a mustang or a camaro, you'll definitely be sad cause stock for stock, and even modded it'll never get close. For a daily driver car that you can do everything with it, it's very decent and fun to drive. I drove BRZs, stangs, corvettes, etc, you just have to compare it to the right vehicle.

@@christopherrogers8316 compare it to a rwd car with similar weight and power and rwd will always be faster. Fwd is not made to go fast on a drag strip. That's what I meant. A stock mustang gt or camaro hits 12s and is in the same price range as this car with bolt ons. It is comparing apples to oranges but if that's what you wanna do I can play the game too.

@@christopherrogers8316 with a type r maybe, not an si or a sport for 1500$. You'll need to put in a full exhaust, intake, intercooler, tune and good tires. We're way past 1500, closer to 5 grand. Oh yeah, need a clutch too and engine work if not the SI. I did my research and fast 1/4 mile to me is under 11 seconds. This car is meant for race tracks not a straight line.

I drive a 2018 accord with the 1.5t and I have to say it's fun to drive even if it had only 192hp. You don't need a lot of horse power to have fun do what you like and not what others like.

Like all the hate on here and all the my car makes this much hp to the wheels yours ain't shit blah blah. Funny how relative horsepower is when nobody on the street wants to fuck with a 200whp 1500 pound short wheelbase rail with a built 2180cc bug motor on the back setup to autocross.. to an extent there's so much more to it than raw power. A 2800 pound Honda that's really putting 220 to the wheels (while not fast) is pretty peppy. Those 1.5 turbos make excellent mid range power, light to light traffic and short bursts of playing around you're not gonna walk it nearly as bad as you'd think you will. While not done in my taste I'm sure it's a fun little daily driver. And anyone with a boost bug damn well knows you'll get a smirk on your face when you lean on a turbo car and start pulling into the boost. Slow, fast or indifferent these new little turbo motors are pretty fun along with getting some really decent mpg's. You don't have to go fast to get a smile on your face. Especially up in elevation on some twisty, skinny mountain roads that little turbo Honda will be hard to keep up with. Quite nimble cars. Good luck putting your 400 plus whp down on those roads. 👍👍

21 psi is “+6”.Makes around 16 psi stock. +9 psi I think is a Hondata flash pro basemap not ktuner
I'd rather have a K24 9th Gen all day.. But still a nice car. Limited what you can do with that 1.5 tho..
Keep in mind the 9th has been out longer. Fg4 owner here and nothing beats the sound of a modified k24

The Brz isn't fast at all but i've driven my buddy's car and it's actually really fun to drive . Straight line pulls are boring but when you shift and do turns at decent speeds, it's thrilling.
First 2 gears in a BRZ, there is a good amount of torque but once you hit third, it falls flat, like really badly, it almost seems like it struggles to even get up to speed.
my girlfriends brz's is full bolt on and it sounds great and having the rear slip out a bit is always fun.

You dont need a lot of HP to have fun, but sometimes the inner racer instincts come alive on the highway and you wanna do a few pulls for jokes, but you wont be winning much of those in that car.

If your looking to mod should have got 6MT. That being said, this dude with the 6MT in the vid prolly bought a new clutch in the last year.(6MT has a very weak clutch)

I just picked one up the other day. What is this torque you speak of? LOL. Love the car, it's fully loaded and great on MPG. But it's slow and weak AF. Then again, I bought this car for everyday driving and practicality. My 370z was too fuckin small.

You can always change it out for an aftermarket steering wheel, but most of the time you won't have nearly as much steering wheel control buttons.
Dude hondas steering wheel and driver facing screen are the only things i hate about the si interior. Grass is always greener on the other side

Imo, rebadged civics arent a type r why rebadge it red, it's disappointing, I would respect the newer civics as it is. And no your Si isnt a type R and so is your sport or touring. I have a Type R am just a ranting.
I don’t see an issue with new badges but I wouldn’t do a red on, me personally I like the black carbon fiber ones better and keeps it from looking like a type r wannabe, and you can get a different upper spoiler that adds its own flare to it that’s fk7 not I wish I was a type R
