Hey, thanks for tuning in! I wanted to give a quick shout to let you know about a new project I’m working on now. I’ve been unearthing great sounding classical pieces, exercises and studies, adapting to electric guitar, and showing you how to play them - enhancing your technique and knowledge in the process - it’s called “Shred of Dignity Guitar”, and I’m sending out my first free TAB to my list right now! You can sign up at shredofdignityguitar.com - thanks and see you there. 🤘🎸🎶🎰
Thanks for the kind words, good wishes and the support, everybody! I'm glad you guys are enjoying the demo, and it's really awesome to see some new as well as familiar names, and many of my "Shred This" friends coming out to comment on this one. You all continue to provide me with tons of inspiration - keep rockin!
This tremolo + True Temprement Frets + Ibanzez shaped body = perfect guitar
Fantastic Demostration !!!!!
Congratulations Bryan !!
Stunning player, superb guitar, and a must-have DVD methinks! :)
dude The Lord has blessed you as a musician and guitar player for sure!!!!!!! You are my new Eddie Van Halen. I remember he was playing this type of guitar back in the day (the 80's)!
awesome bryan i love the guitar & the playing... cant wait to see your instructional vid...keep on rockin
Great chops man! Haven't seen that T-Trem bridge yet, but it seems to work really well--good to see that it's still getting developed.
Great demo,Bryan, and awesome playing as always...The options with tremolo very impressive...I never played a Steinberger guitar-you make me wanna try one :)
Hope you doing great,man...Keep it up...
Your shred lines are actually very creative! :D
Woah I've never heard of a tremolo like that holy hell that's interesting.
Tahnks for the demo. I didn't even know how easy it is to play a guitar. Wait on, I'll just head on to Guitar Center and will be right back!!!!
I was ashamed of my playing before.....now I'm DEEPLY ashamed of my playing! LOL NICE demo. Great chops!
Simply amazing playing. Wow...
im tryn to save up for this guitar..this is forsure on the top of my list..it looks like a really comfortable guitar and the low profile i really dig..plus the tremolo..damn i needa start saving..
I agree with ShredReviews. I'd get this dvd.
Great demo video!!! I just ordered a ZT3 mostly because of the quality of your videos. The trans-trem didn't hurt either. ;o)
Where do you get one?
killer tune and awsome playing
Great review and Awsome playing !!
Great Playing
great demo. sweet licks around 2:10 also.
awe man i actually own a steinberger cort from the 70's or 80' man its killin stuff! that guitar you have there is gorgeous though.. and maple wood is always good ;)
the action must get really cool with all these sudden tuning transpositions
wow, you really deserve that guitar with your shredding skills, not like some people using steinbergers
@metallica5252 i think there is a switch, because when it is unlocked you can use it like a normal tremolo,
I need one of these.
awasome guitar
You're right! I was actually trying to place who he looks like, and he DOES look like Allan!
this is so cool! dream job..
Hey bro... You're such a great player
I just have a question about the ZT3... Can you put the trem arm anywhere you want...free floating? Cause I had one of these but I had such a difficult time adjusting the arm to have it free floating, every time I would push it back it would lock it..so it had to remain stiff in one position. Is that the case or was I just not using it correctly?
Thanks
Nice! sweet technique my man
I really like your guitar - I want one
Great video and playing!
Can you go sharp with whammy bar like on 80's models?
WOW!
I see now how it locks by swinging the bar back. If i want the bar in the rear position for flutter or bending up can I swing the bar counterclockwise?
awh! damn that guy knows wat he is doin
how do you use the tremolo without it locking into place and switching the pitch? do you just have to avoid letting it lock in or is there a switch i am not seeing?
Beautiful guitar, is the trem system licensed for other guitars? Not ready to trade in my Jackson just yet
Thiss video makes me remember Tymon..
Not necessary. This doesn't have a locking nut, so you can just detune the bottom string to D.
I'm sorry for the silly question...but will those features work well with lower tunings like D (one full step down)? Will you be able to perform TransTrem functions without having any issues with stability etc. I'm thinking of buying this guitar, but I want to use D-standard with tremolo function and switch to E or C at times. Another thing: do you suggest this guitar for playing Metal, Jazz-Fusion and Funk or it's impossible to get all of those tones from one instrument? Thank you.
If I wanted to tune to drop D how easy is that? Is it just a turn of the knobs at the bridge? Then if I wanted to drop that tuning down a step, could you just use the tremolo to do that the way you do with the standard tunings?
more of a demo than a review. I cant find a good review on this axe. I want to know about how it plays and the action and setup and pros and cons
@bryanaspey Are there any artist that particularly inspire you? I need some recommendations for what I should be listening to. BTW I recently found out about you and am greatly inspired!
G.A.S.P.
I don't get it. doesn't the "transpose" feature interfere with normal use? It would seam that during normal use it would be very easy to put yourself a half or whole step our of rune. If this is not true than WOW!
hey bryan I got a question about the transtrem, if you transposed the tuning from E standard to D standard, would you be able to play in that tuning as long as you want? also, can you use the tremolo bar while the tuning is transposed? thanks!
how well does the steinberger trem hold tuning compared to floyd rose? also can the trans trem act as a hardtail as well?
too amazing!!! where this tone comes from dude?
I'm just now realizing that there's not an R in your last name. I've watched your videos for like a year o.o
wow!!! awesome toy!!!
brian, please tell me how to change action (lower) - can i do it myself?
thanks, man - great playing
v
I was wondering, having a maple body does this guitar have any noticeable differences in the bass range or for that matter mids and treble as well?
how well does the steinberger trem hold tuning compared to floyd rose?
I hear a lot of Michael Lee Firkins in your playing. Coincidence, or have you found inspiration from his stuff? :)
guitrra demasiado vacan
dude you look so much like holdsworth (with more hair)
I think Alex Machacek is playin this one too!
As a shred guitarist, this guy kind of appeared and disappeared. His one album on Spotify is a classical guitar album, I was hoping to find a solid album of this type of guitar work from him but it's not to be found.
Bryan I've taken all the strings off my zt3 transtrem when I bought it used on ebay. It had the wrong strings on it, so I'm really concerned. Right now the tremelo is flat bottomed and I don't if that hurts the tremelo. Does it? I can't find ANYWHERE that sells sst-107 double ball strings so I have to order it online and I"M FREEKING out thinking I'm going to break this guitar. Can you help me out here Bryan ?? Thank you. Also I tried to move the tremelo with no strings on it to see if it should be locked and then the Transtrem literally POPPED off the guitar....then I poped it back on..So i'm really worried about it. Thanks..!
Kristopher Ferrell Also if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, I'd be really happy if you told me about your experience on the Zt3. The website has absolutely 0 information on what I'm talking about. It has the information on the other steinbergers. This steinberger out of all the others is also the only without a description on stringing and what can harm the tremelo like other videos do. I'm really disappointed in that.
Kristopher Ferrell lol 😂
Those arpeggios sounded very Jason Becker like.
do you know if they make these guitars left handed?
where can I get your DVD, Bryan?
Wheach gauge of strings you use bryan?
what string gauges work best with that bridge?
D-TUNEs are possible?
Son of Holdsworth we speak your name
trans trem 3
what scale is at 2:10?!
His face resemble that of allan holdsworth
i new i recognized it!!
@bryanaspey Please stop being good. It's depressing. kthanx.
Coll tech-trem...
Show off haha Just kidding great vid!
Have you tried selling used cars, Bryan? ;)
someone beheaded your guitar dude!
thats not coil tapping , get it rite... that's coil splitting
too bad it wasn't easy to fix if smth broke. And they don't make 'em anymore too... *sigh
Be nice if they made it left handed...
All studies I'v read have determined that there is no practical reason for left handed instruments. They state that learning to play any instrument is a brand new skill set, therefore should be learned in the traditional manner. E.g. no left handed pianos, woodwinds, brass, percussion or strings for the most part. My guess is there just isn't enough demand to justify the cost of production. Most of the lefties I know learned righty from the start. IDK?
Can it be set up in D tuning so that you can go up to E flat and E standard or down to C# and C?
can it hold a low baritone type tuning and still stay in tune when using the trem?
