That cover is beautiful.😍😍I think pen loops are only important if you plan to use the same pen every time you write in your journal. If you’re going to be switching between your pens I wouldn’t worry about the pen loop.🙂
That's a really good point about the pen loop! I was hoping to store one pen with my notebook. I now store it in the spine of the cover and it zips up just fine.

I think if I had seen it in person and felt how soft it was, it might have been higher on my list! That Café au Lait cover is also gorgeous, although it's a shame it's such a tight fit with your fountain pens. On a side note - I LOVE your art - WOW! Hello Friend! I love your choices for this year. Yes that was such a bummer when Delta lost your luggage. I was heartbroken for you!! This year, I plan on buying a new 2025 Day free tech (been using this as my journal for the past 2 years and it's worked out great) And then also Want to get one of the Midori Pocket Diary Slim for my purse where I keep track of all my appointments. Last year I had the cats one but this year I'm getting the Bird one. So cute- illustrations on every page. I was using a weeks this year for a pen pal journal but it just didn't work out the way I expected so I probably won't continue with this going forward. I just never decorated it for some reason. But it was good to jot down incoming and outgoing mail. I hope you're having a great week.

It's weird after loosing the journals (and the 5 year in particular), I felt two things: 1. I'm gutted that I lost these precious things of mine, even though they are just things. 2. Wow it is so easy to lose things, better not get too attached. Now when I travel, I have my notebooks on my person at all times, in a backpack under the seat in front of me.
I find the fabric covers especially appealing this year. Got my Yuge Fabric weeks and will also order A5 herringbone and Phoolon. What’s even better, none of these seem to be the “it” covers this season, so I can pace and budget my purchases in peace (last year I missed out on that denim trifold and I am still a little sad about it).
Wow! Amazing. I hate the Faux Leathers... sometimes theyre more than a Leather option?! The Poly Dual Color Covers have a Prop 65 warning. Who wants toxicity? I am very happy they have Leather options and integrated them in moreso this year. There have been many wonderful designs, but sadly the Interior of Mina Perhonens typically come with Faux materials. Luckily a few years ago I snagged a Weeks Liberty with an Interior Leather. A5 size I opted for TSL as it will be heavy duty and gorgeous. I do hope Hobonichi comes out with a Black all Leather like their "Velutto" Id even stray into Colors if that were the case. Your Kit looks great.. cannot wait until mine arrives🎐
Yeah personally I am not interested in paying premium for something that will start to flake and disintegrate. I can understand that they want to have vegan options available and covers at different price points. I wasn't even aware of the prop 65 warning.

Beautiful cover. A thought to try for your pen. Would it lay along the spine of your book at the center of the cover? I have a Galen Leather Weeks cover, and that's where they have a pen loop. It works perfectly.

Love your new cover 💖. No A6 this year? I’ve bought A6 Avec (although the UK shop sent me a Cousin by mistake, so I’ve returned it and am waiting for the A6). I’ve bought a Sterling Ink N2 instead of a Weeks this year as I want to do a health planner as well as usual planning and they have the goals pages. I’ll miss the Weeks hard cover though! I found a pre-loved zipped Hobo cover on EBay to house it in. I’ve also bought a blank A5 and the same pencil boards as you, although I had to buy all three even if I didn’t exactly “need” them all 😊
I am still a bit undecided about the A6, which is why I didnt order one (yet). I'll have a video up this weekend where I talk a bit more about what I am currently using as my journal. Yes the Sterling Ink goals pages are really thoughtfully designed. I can see that being very useful for a health planner.
Great video, I ordered a Sneaker Weeks Mega in Purple, A Black Gingham weeks, an A6 original, an A6 avec, a water candle cover (light blue and orange inside), a sunset beach cover (darker blue and orange inside, orange is my favorite color), 2 A6 pencil boards the gray and yellow ones, a set of a6 memo books a set of Weeks memo books, some stickers, an an a6 grid notebook I like the 3.7mm grid so I will gift the free 5mm books I am expecting my order to arrive any time now no vids on my channel yet….
I just released a video where I review the Cafe Au Lait in a bit more detail and do some more fit tests, if that is helpful for you. I didn't test an iPad. I think it would fit based on the thickness, even together with a notebook. I can't test it out to tell you for sure because my iPad is taller than A5.

After I filmed the unboxing I carefully bend the cover back on itself and kind of massaged that middle section where it hinges and now it lays flat and the left side stays laying on the desk without flopping up. A few people have mentioned in the comments to store a pen in the center of the cover, which works fine as it doesnt interfere with the zipper and since the cover is so slimly designed, it doesnt feel like the pen is rattling around. I'm pretty sure I saw someone use a pencil board in the left pocket with an oli clip as their pen loop. So the pen sits in the spine. Maybe that will work for you?
