You can use almond flavour, lemon etc. Which ever you prefer. But if the recipe calls for vanilla try to stick with that. You can find it in pretty much every store.

Hello mimas secret, thank you for your comment. Two (2) sticks of butter is equivalent to 226g if you're measuring with a scale. The butter wasn't in sticks because I used a scale to measure. I figured it will be easier for someone who doesn't have a scale, hence I used the term 2 sticks'' Let me know what's actually confusing so I can explain.:)
