Fixing up my dads 70 nova 4 door 3spd and just seeing videos like this gives me more motivation, this how i imagine mine too be but in a sleeper look 🤣
its not junk just because it is a 4 door man, 4 doors can be awesome too! I love my 70 Nova crew cab haha really looking forward to see your progress on it. :)
I left a comment the other day my first one on TH-cam how much I enjoy your channel you do a really good job of explaining how and why you were doing the things you’re doing on cars very interesting. You will have 500,000 subscribers before too Long best Automotive channel on TH-cam.
It sits in the corner of the garage. Gets parts stolen off of it for other projects every now and then. The car only has a small rust hole on the quarter. Been a California car till I bought it in 2016.
I believe there is the 66 427 Convertible in the background of this video, we have done some videos on it on our channel, If its the 67 coupe you're talking about, I'd like to at some point. My dad and grandpa have been doing body work on it. Filming them working is easier said than done lol.
@@HorsepowerDepot I watched the one about the Blue C2 and transmission . There was a black hood up on another one . Thank you for your rapid response . Love your videos .
I have narrowed 2 Dana's and a 12 bolt useing a jig similar but mine goes threw to both ends useing a dom tube.it came with the pucks to do 9",12 bolt 10 bolt and Dana's, it was on racing junk.i found that to do four link brackets first and the bearing ends last letting it cool after each step.you be surprised how much the axle tubes move around from the tig welding.i stick welded the tubes to the casting also with super cast rod
I agree on the tubes moving, I still have to weld the leaf spring mounts on, I think I'll assemble it completely and hopefully the axles will help keep the tubes from moving.
Luckily the shop owner down the block plowed my drive this morning, then had one of his guys go around the block with a hd snowblower and do the street sidewalks. Snow sucks when you get eight inches of it in one sitting.
What kind of wheels are the black 5 spokes that were on the front of it..? You don't have a pair of 17" fronts for sale by chance, do you? I need a pair for the front of my car! I can't afford new, after getting my beadlocks!
Yes I felt it lift a head and I knew exactly what it was. It puts water in the combustion chamber and you lose a cylinder so the car slows down and you feel it. Ive lifted many heads pushing a supercharged copo Camaro to its max about 6-7 years ago when we raced it competitively.
I like that you are using that alpha tig welder. I am biased to your 69 Camaro. That thing is wicked. I like all your cars. Love your work, keep going.
I dig the 4 door concept--years ago, I had the idea to start up a business, building 4 door high performance "sleeper" type cars. I wanted to call it "The Sleeper Shoppe." Not common to see them, even now. Never put the plan into motion, but who knows? I think I might still have a few years of life left; first generation Camaros are what I really like, but for the cost of building one, I could go LS mill, hair dryer, THM400, 9" out back, (street and strip 3rd members) stuff it all into an S-10, and probably run 3 tenths or more quicker, and maybe even have the $ to buy a trailer for when I want to "beat the snot out of it" at the strip! lol
My favorite thing about this channel is you make me think “I bet I could do that” then the video is over an I realize I have a snowballs chance in hell lol. Great work an I appreciate you being relatable
Great video, love this car. I wish you would have documented the measuring process though, or could point me in a solid direction to figure out the process. Of course, I’m keeping the stock location of my leaf springs, so I’m not sure I can really narrow a rear very much anyway. Either way, keep up the badass content! Looking forward to seeing this thing done!
I didn’t do that because I’m not exactly sure how it’s going to fit. And I didn’t want people to use my measurements and it not fit in their car lol. I had an 8 inch wide wheel with stock tubs, with the mini tub and stock spring location you could go 10 inch wide. To get 12 inch wide you would need a mini tub and move the spring. My car also is different than others because I’ve beat the shit out of the quarter panels to fit a 28x10.5 when the car sat really low.
Cool video. I was wandering what you guys are going to do with the 67 in the background. I know you guys are working on it but I was curious if you guys have the original 427 or what you guys are planning.
We have an idea on where the original engine is but we don't have it. Car was wrecked, and engine was pulled about 45 years ago. Plan is to make it an L88 Clone and race it at the FAST races. L88 4 Speed, it will be a fun racer.

Thanks! I've gotta get back on this thing! Got too busy to get it going this year.

Thank you! Comments like this are very encouraging! I appreciate the support!
Awsome build.
Amazing that there isn’t any apparent rust under the vinyl top. What ever happened to this car Jordan?

@@HorsepowerDepot - Yeah, I was where you pointed out the rust foot. Vinyl tops notoriously trapped moisture underneath them.
Love this car! huge fan of more-doors. Keep the detailed build vids coming
Thanks! Will do!
Yooooooooo whats happening with that C2 in the back groung ????? are you doing a video on it ??????

That’s a 67 427/435 coupe. Hope to make some videos soon. It’s getting a little bit of body work right now. Might do a video when we paint it.

nice job. checking it out while taking a break from snow shoveling ☃☃
Stay warm!

Like the crew cab nova.
I think your definition of fast and mine are different. I would be over the moon if I ran as fast as you
Its sad lol. 8s are the new 10s.

Were you able to use a steering box with the forward manifolds or is it rack and pinion?
It has a rack and pinion on it.

It will be a case of the wheel tub limiting the tire with a stock spring location and stock diff.
Hey man where did you get your rear and narrowing kit
Its a Chris Alston Chassisworks kit they have them on their website. I think I may have called it a Chassis Engineering kit in the video...
Nice project are you going to sell the 15x11 wheels? if so I like to buy them what's the offset on them?
No, they go on our 2014 Copo Camaro.
That Ford.......still have it? Wanna sell it?

No.no...leave it a street car..it was cool when you drag weeked it...
I can still drive it on the street. Just won't be a 3800 pound tank anymore.
With these Chevys not exactly rare I'm a little surprised his friends let him go the 4 door route ..Why bother .. really .....NO really ...
