✍Have you heard? I'm doing a research study to prove to the healthcare community that ASMR is more than just a recreation on TH-cam. I believe it could be used alongside existing therapies to complement maybe even boost their effectiveness. But to do this I need lots of help, from others who also believe in the power of ASMR. This is my survey, it takes 7-8 mins to complete, will you take a look?

I want to reassure you I am a fully qualified Dr of Psychology just trying to do something good for the ASMR community. I promise to try & respond to all comments & questions, thank you in anticipation, for your time & support
Wishing you all strength & calm during this difficult period.
    Warmest wishes

The ASMR Psychologist did the survey! Would love to help more if possible. I think it’s great! Showed your vids to my therapist who said these would help lots of his pts when they go out.

The ASMR Psychologist Hi there! I never write comments on TH-cam but I am a resident physician in Psychiatry and I love ASMR. I saw you are doing research on this and I believe it is amazing. Filled the survey as ASMR has been a great tool for me to unwind after a rough day and to help me sleep. Wishing you all the best! Looking fwd to the results. ☺️

I just wanted to say real quick that I have a young family member with a sensory disorder and while I was putting them down for a nap today they fought and screamed but as soon as I turned on this video they calmed down and fell right asleep. You were just what the little one needed and it soothed them immediately! Thank you so much!

I’ve completed the survey to hopefully assist in your field of research! I wish more professionals implemented the ASMR technique into their work, it surely would have helped a few years back with my sleeping issues 😭 21 years old now I’ve only just started understanding how to sleep better, the importance of falling asleep with a calm mind and how it can impact my next days mood. Your videos have proven, undeniably, effective time and time again 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the soft spoken video! I greatly appreciate your work in combining asmr, meditation, and psychology. I love all of your creations so far and would so enjoy-in addition to the incredible work you are making-future videos that teach about psychological theory or therapies or psych histories that interest you (if that is ever something that interests you to create!). Thank you for your lovely contribution to the TH-cam-verse, especially in these anxiety inducing times... x Ari

My senses have been going into overdrive during this quarantine. I've always been sensitive with emotions and loud sounds, but now it's like every sense and the smallest sounds/vibrations/movements/smells have had such big reactions out of me. Even just my mom coughing in her sleep or talking in her sleep, our dog licking her self even my mom simply moving around bothers me so much. The only thing that has been helping at all is music and ASMR that's more chill like this. Because even ASMR I previously enjoyed has been making me freak out. I've been making aggressive movements to calm down. I haven't had these kind of breakdowns for a couple years, which is worrying that they're coming back. I put my head in my knees and cover my ears and rock back and forth. But also slapping myself and kind of having little seizure like movements happening, but they're not seizures; I'm doing them semi-on purpose to calm myself down. Though it is more visceral/automatic of a response. I want it to stop. But I don't know what to do. I want to enjoy more asmr again, also to sleep comfortably without hearing my mom move around and scream in her sleep. I share a room with her which is why this is a problem, I can't sleep in the living room since my cousin sleeps out there. Thankfully me and my mom don't share a bed anymore, but she's still bothersome. I have been crying as a response to all of this as well. So yeah, I've been really overwhelmed.
Is there a reason this problem has reemerged/gotten worse during quarantine?

I think I might need this. My sister is a nurse at a hospital working in the thick of everything. I believe she takes her job home with her. Yesterday for breakfast I had a bowl of cereal. I was told that was the wrong thing to eat. There were tangerines sitting on the table. She threw them at me in disgust of what I was doing. All I wanted to do was eat breakfast. I just had to vent this.
