Best Muay Thai fight I've seen in awhile. Crazy impressive.
Respectfully i disagree.. i dint see much muay thai in this. Where is the clinches, knees, sweeps, etc. It looked like i watched boxing + elbow. Where is the techniques of traditional muay thai.
I think sean needs to start training in thailand again 😋 living in the west for too long now hehe

Back to watch this again,one of my favourites,Sean's an Irish warrior,terrible bias for pongsiri by the commentary,even between rounds they showed pongs strike,none of Sean's,not good one.

This is why a Thai boxer is so dangerous!!! Pongsiri has 5 times the amount of fights Clancy has. That experience difference will always be a big determining factor!!
Do not fool yourself with that, have you seen those lumpinee fights? they waste a lot of time dancing, and the money round is the 4th. Some times they start dancing in the 5th to recognize the fight has already been won. In kickboxing matches you can see they inflict more damage and are in general more aggressive than traditional muay thai fights. Of course muay thai is a devastating style but traditional mt pace fights are not like these ones on ONE, or those carried out internationally against mt foreign practitioners more used to the kickboxing pace of fighting.

I dont see knees. Not much muay thai in this fight, no stance no technique, just all out..
There's a style in Myay Thai and it is practiced by Muangthai as well as Pongsiri where fighters do not try to evade hits like the boxers do but just want to dish out as much damage as possible in the shortest timespan and to cripple the opponent. There are other styles, if you watch Littewada you will see so slick techniques and evasion that you will likely drool. Also see Lerdsilla. Also generally extremely limited head movement is advisable in MT because a skilled fighter will jab you 10, 15 times and when he sees how you evade the jab will feign it and will kick you in the head big time. Even I do this and I am as bad of a MT fighter as you can get. So do not wonder at the style of the fight, it is not representative of Muay Thai as a whole, just a fighter preference.

Clancy always seems to get beaten up badly. I think it is because he is not very good from a technical standpoint. He basically just throws punches and elbows and hopes for the best. He moves slow and not very elegantly, no footwork and no combinations. he can take punches and has heart for sure, but that's not enough these days.

The Thai need more skill to control his mind after hit iris guy down. Seems he got nervous to punch him down again , but couldn’t hit into targets. I found 1st round they got same score, 2nd round , thai was a head . And 3rd round , same score. Thais won only .5 - 1 score ahead.
