As anime watcher i can say that solo leveling is going pretty well and i liked it so far maybe because my expectations from the show are not quite that high and every week episode seems a banger to me hopefully we see the next season very soon.
It followed the LN and the first scene in the light novel is the jiju arc just like the anime plus it was never mentioned that there were 2 ant dungeon breaks and the same s ranks were fighting both
I don't think ki ye even 24 episodes me bhi jeju island arc dikhayenge. If we consider the pace, then these 12 episodes will end at chapter 45. Then the next cour can be till chapter 89(the end of demon castle arc) and jeju island can be released like a movie coz it deserves that extra attention. This is what I think.

He & everyone loves Solo Leveling Manhwa. But in anime They failed to Capture the Drip of the Sung Jin Woo. They failed to capture the essence of the Manhwa panel, those perspective shots.😢 It deserved the animation lvl of SAO.

Bro you misunderstand. The jeju island raid they showed in yhe very first episode was a pervious raid which had been failed. That was not the raid in which sung jinwoo would appear. It was three years ago the Double dungeon massacre. Heck sung jinwoo probably had not even been awakened as a hunter at that time.
As an anime only I am really liking Solo Leveling. Well I heard it’s the most popular manhwa so obviously it was bound to come under the overrated radar but I can never say no to enjoy a turn the brain off show lol. A-1 pictures and Sawano are cooking.
i agree with badal here... as a manhwa reader i do agree solo leveling is famous for its godly painting like panels... other than that it is an average underdog overpower mc story... as someone who have seen a lot of op mc isekai stories i'm the whole burden is onto animation... and with the current animation 10% of it is very good the other 90% is avg

But at its current progress,i doubt they will be able to reach the pinnacle of fate's animation even in 1 action scene. But after a couple of time when anime and manwa/manga got more popular many new and old watchers started to criticize solo leveling and got attacked by the fandom again... I think the main reason why Solo Levelling is so popular is because anime People aren't used to watching shows based on Gaming Levelling Concept But hey ...your opinion, not mine !

Actually solo levelling might have basic story but the kind of action secen it going to have it just gonna explode the anime world if they animated it like some of the top studios (UFO table specifically)
Story wise both of em aren't anything special but tbh solo leveling got way better premise, world building, and plot twist than demon slayer. Demon slayer feels childish whereas solo leveling is dark and gore, feels more serious and mature. Jin woo character progression is interesting and cool like how he deals with the system and how it affects his personality. Comparing solo leveling to demon slayer is actually disrespectful to solo leveling and only people who read it for the art and didn't focus much on the details compare it to that kid slayer.@@thegreymanwitharedhat4061

I agree that the Anime is just ok so farr... Solo leveling Manhwa GOATed. But we didn't see much coz there are just few crazy things to show in first few Chapters. But the next chapters I'd say from chap 30 when he goes out for Job Request & if they pull it off then it would be absolutely Amazing

bro you haven't seen the tiny portion of the hype this show has. The episodes they covered till now did not have anything special happening in them, but the episodes after a certain level is just on another level. If you are patient enough, you will find out...

But if it has 24 episodes, then along with 11-12 , episodes 14-17 ( Red gate arc to rank retest arc) are also gonna be hype. But in any case, the absolute most hype will be in Jeju Island Arc which would either be covered in season 3 or season 2 depending on how the animation studio makes it.

Solo Leveling story does nothing new for the genre, but whatever it does, I am pretty sure it does it best. Also, the story is following both the Novel and the Manhwa hence why we see some some parts which weren't in the manhwa, for example, Jeju Island part right at the start.

Both the manhwa and anime feels very powerful and interesting to me . People now a days have been a fan of slice of life/wholesome animes like frieren but the feeling which shonen anime gives is unmatched and i would prefer this type of anime over slice of life genre anytime
Yeah they watch shounen animes with badass MC doing cool stuffs because they can never achieve such things in real life and are just running away from it, While animes like frieren teaches us many things about life but they don't have the brain to understand.
The thing is Solo Leveling is a manwha and in manwha you will mostly find a OP mc and the reason Solo Leveling is called THE GREATEST MANWHA is because of that. It's not overrated but fairly rated in its genre. Jinwoo is the perfect OP MC in history of anime. And it is made for that. It doesn't require story it only requires the MC

I can drop a ton of names which rival it's popularity and has arguably a better story and an equally likeable MC. I agree with the last line. The MC carries the anime.

Like in the first episode in the dungeon, an old man's hand was cut off and yet he still looks as if he feels no pain at all. Other point : when they've finally survived from that dungeon, sung jinwoo recovered from that traumatic incident in just few moments at the hospital. Spoilers ahead : Then he goes into a ridiculous transformation that is good but from that moment onwards his character becomes 1 dimensional like cold hearted but sweet, clapping all the strongest demons in the dungeons, marrying an S tier strongest lady cha hae by ignoring his very dearest friend lee johee who has being supporting him from the very beginning of his transformation.

The take "solo levelling is overrated" is nothing new. It's well discussed and believed in the manhwa community. Many people say the same, and it has its reasons, too. The lack of substance, the usual tropes in a power fantasy, some even argue that SL doesn't have a story. The art that you can bust a nut or two to, the hype fights and the mc not being a wimp makes up for it. Relative to other anime and manhwa, there's no doubt it's overrated. Personally, I'd give it a 7.

Story wise both of em aren't anything special but tbh solo leveling got way better premise, world building, and plot twist than demon slayer. Demon slayer feels childish whereas solo leveling is dark and gore, feels more serious and mature. Other point : when they've finally survived from that dungeon, sung jinwoo recovered from that traumatic incident in just few moments at the hospital.

The take "solo levelling is overrated" is nothing new. It's well discussed and believed in the manhwa community. Many people say the same, and it has its reasons, too. The lack of substance, the usual tropes in a power fantasy, some even argue that SL doesn't have a story. The art that you can bust a nut or two to, the hype fights and the mc not being a wimp makes up for it. Relative to other anime and manhwa, there's no doubt it's overrated. Personally, I'd give it a 7.
