Minimalism saved my motherhood... it makes me so emotional every time I think about it... I now get to see my babies growing and I can be the one who raises them and influences them.
I felt this video so close to my heart, especially as you described that anxiety feeling.
    Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you so much for sharing! The “pit in our stomach” is a HUGE indicator our bodies give to us. It says “it’s time to make a change!!!” I had the same pit and I recently resigned after 26 years working for the same bank. I am trying to learn what my “dream job” would be, but in the meantime I’ve been decluttering and feeling great! I am taking actions towards Minimalism and I have learned so much from you!!

A friend of mine's daughter also had a tough time for one year teaching in TN. Her co-workers (women) were very petty and envious. Seriously, do some people ever move on from high school? She transferred to another state. Kudos to you for stepping out in faith and believing you could make all those changes.

The definition of success definitely changes as we grow and transform.
Sometimes, we get "involuntarily pushed" into changes (long story), but they are blessings that we truly need, and couldn't do for ourselves.

Thank you Becky!❤❤❤I quitted my job to become a full time housewife sometime 10 years ago. It was I thought would be a heartbreaking moment but it turned that THAT decision was one of the best things that ever happened because I watch my daughter as she grows. I have so much time to take care and be with my family. And THAT for me qualifies as SUCCESS. And because of minimalism, so much energy not spent on taking care of things. Thank you soooo much. Keep on inspiring God bless you and your family❤❤❤

Because of you I started my minimalist journey. Already it's made such a huge difference and impact in my life. I'm not where I should be but I'm excited to see how much more it will change my life. I feel happier and more care free. The difficult part is letting go of the idea that things define who I am as a person. I definitely struggle with it still. Especially when I'm surrounded by people that have a lot of beautiful things.

Thank you for making this video❤ My life mirrors yours in so many ways. I’ve been in the teaching field in one way or another for 30 years. Normally I’d be starting a new school year in the next 3 weeks so it feels weird to not be getting ready to go back. I can relate to the exact feeling of having a pit in my stomach as the school year trudged along last year. You’re way ahead of me in the fact that I don’t know exactly what I want to do next yet though. I’ll be staying home until December other than a little subbing here and there so once my decluttering is done I’ll be able to take some time to just think and figure out what my next steps will be. Honestly, I’m just looking for a simpler life😊

My husband and I have just started discussing the potential of me quitting my job. I work from home at half time (during naps, evenings and weekends) and take care of our toddler. Unfortunately that is still not enough time to devote to his needs and contribute to our family like I want to. Things still get pushed off around the house and I feel the pit every day.

I’ve been subscribed for a while and This video….HITS HOME! I’ve considered making a video about it too because I just quit my teaching job as well…I’ve taught for 9 years….But I’m afraid for those I worked with to find it and be mean about it. It was a very toxic work environment and clickish. I needed to see this 🫶🏼 should I make a video about it as well? What are your thoughts?

I started teaching when I decided my kids and I needed to get out of an abusive relationship from my ex-husband. My youngest (twins) were starting Kindergarten and my eldest was going into
2nd grade. We were not at the same elementary school like you and your daughter and it was hard.
Starting my 27th year in one week and I’m just ready to stop. I have 2.5 years more and I don’t think I will feel bad stopping in the middle of a year. I will be 60 in December and my money advisor says I will come out better working until 62.
I never said I loved my job, I just needed a job that would allow me to be off when my kids were off (single mom).
I did for the most part enjoy my job. I was there for my students and my children. I deal a lot better with kids than adults so perfect job for me. 🤣
So here we go year number 27!!!!!

I love this video. Thank you for this. I want to say a few things:
When we find ourselves in a job we like or love, we get to relax and find joy in other things, too. It makes perfect sense why you would divert some and eventually more of your energy into YouTubing at this point.
When we have a job that abuses us, we have nothing left to give to ourselves, moreover, we are probably feeling trapped in that job because of financial obligations and this means other areas are going poorly as well. When people unhelpfully suggest that we imagine a better future and create our happiness, it is like sitting behind someone wearing a large hat at the cinema and someone asking us to imagine the film playing on the screen! Happiness begets more happiness; that is how it works and not otherwise.
The other thing I wanted to say is that, whenever I misplace something and have to spend more than three minutes hunting for it, I know I need to declutter more.
Whenever I start to get anxious about outcomes that don’t depend on my actions and I’ve already done my best at getting the outcome I hope for, that is a signal that it is time for me to stop dwelling on that and go clean something.
And I also wanted to say that someone has been where you’ve been and your perspective is validating, or someone wants to be where you are and wants to know how you got there, or someone has been where you are now, they are cheering for you, and they want you to know that it gets even better than how far you have already come.
    This video is fantastic.
