I was playing with mine the other day. Addition and multiplication I have figured out. Subtraction still kind of eludes me as does division (which is just subtraction). But, the other day I was playing with it and I figured out how to make it do binary addition! You can have a binary number as large as the register minus one (for the highest order carry). All you have to do is enter the first binary number into the register and then enter the second binary number into the register right over the top of the existing one. Then, for every column that has a 2 in it, press 8 to force the carry. Do this from right to left. Whoda thunk you could take a 100 year old mechanical base 10 calculator and easily make it do binary math! Not sure how to do subtraction as that is a different animal.
