They are mechanical wonders. In India while I am working in electricity transmission and distribution company our office are equipped with only mechanical typewriters and Facit adder mechines with basic mathametical functions. Seeing your video I remember those days. The time was early eighties of previous century. Then in India there was only few computers in Universities and resurch organisations. I have model J262811 and according to serial number production over the years of model J, I extrapolated its year of fabrication at 1927.

Since it's J26, could be also that your Comptometer is from 1926.
