      Hi Rainer, I am glad that you are finding my video useful , this was the purpose of posting it on TH-cam to teach each other and learn how to rebuild our machine engine.

    I rebuilt my NSU engine some time ago, runs and ticks over good a few things I do not like are the chrome lined barrels , one use only, and the replacement are poor quality, another thing is if you are ridding and see a hill , you have to throttle up up a quarter of a mile before because it would be as flat as a pancake if not best to weigh 8 stone rider

      @@peterkbz hey hello...at my Gearboy my pedal shaft blocked... can you help me please? do the two bolts in the housing have something to do with it? they are worn out for me

    • @peterkbz
      @peterkbz  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@steffenbaumann8297 , you will have to take some pictures from the worn bolts and send them to my email address but I don't think it's related to those bolts.
      It happened to me the same few years ago with a 2 speed engine and the cause was that the pedal shaft sleeve on the right side migrated outside because the pedal shaft pin (outside one next to the nut) wich holds the pedal bolt was broken and allow the sleeve to migrate outside...check on the right side next to the pedal to see if the sleeve is in place. Hope this helps.

      Hi Ron, on the right side of the pedal shaft there is a sleeve wich keeps the wheelin place...you will need a heat gun to heat the sleeve then you will have to push the wheel to the right and the sleeve will come out.
      I have never done this but I have checked with the exploded drawing of the engine spares...if you would like a picture of the draw send me a email and I am happy to help.

    PLEASE stop using an iron hammer on bearings etc. Use heat difference and in a worst case scenario use a plastic hammer. And never pound away at the crank u will missalign the pressed halves if ur unlucky and the engine will fail way sooner. Also u will damage the bearings if u hit it like that. Even with a plastic hammer this is possible.
    For the bearings heat the inner ring with a hot bolt with a nut on it so the ring expands. put the crankshaft into the freezer. it should slide in with little to no resistance.
    Also u dont have to oil every bit while/before installing it. oil it after u put it into place. Makes it easier and isnt as messy.
    U talked about cleaning the clutch disks w petrol. Dont do it like that, they can take damage from a solvent like petrol and get brittle. Just wipe them clean.
    I dont know if u greased the crank bearings or if they got pre greased. the grease can block the little channel thats supposed to bring oil behind the bearing. Just use the engine oil or mixing oil to lubricate those.
    Just a little advice from a mold maker to keep these engines happy.

      Hi, first of all thank you for watching my videos but I have to adress two points of view:
      1st, I think this comment is for the ,,engine dismantle,, video
      2nd, this is not a video coming from a professional and I don't do this for a living. I've only done this because there is not much information about Quicklys in english and I've thought this could be useful for other unprofessionals enthusiasthics like me. Please feel free to post your own videos with the correct way of the dismantling of the engine in order to help people like me.

      Watch the video closely. The poster describes how he messed up the aluminum casing and thus warns against doing it the way he accomplished the task. You're correct as far as replacing the bearings and seals are concerned,: heat is the best solution. It would be more helpful, though, if you could to provide a video showing how you rebuilt a Quickly motor.
      Whatever...thanks Peter KBZ. I find your film very helpful.
