Thanks Peter, a great step by step rebuild. I followed along rebuilding my own NSU. only a couple of points....It's easy to dislodge the pedal crank shaft whilst closing the cases, I think the circlips and RH pedal should be fitted ASAP after pushing it through the case. Also I find it easier to fit the piston rigs and pistonfrom the bottom of the cylinder as it's usually got a taper there.😊

I rebuilt my NSU engine some time ago, runs and ticks over good a few things I do not like are the chrome lined barrels , one use only, and the replacement are poor quality, another thing is if you are ridding and see a hill , you have to throttle up up a quarter of a mile before because it would be as flat as a pancake if not best to weigh 8 stone rider

Yes, the gear change cables on 3 speed models are a bit finicky to set up, unlike the two speeders that only have one cable with a spring return. I have rebuilt a few of both. I used to own an S/2 23 . I now have an F 23 which is identical, but has rear suspension. That i will never sell !

As an engineering example its good but......... It sounds awful! Can only do 20 miles! (A 67 year old Quickly can do over a 100 on a tank), And isn't Zero carbon. A coal powered power power station produced the electricity. The battery production and eventual disposal is extremely toxic not to mention slave labour in obtaining the raw materials. Plus Luton Airport car park..... 30 million pounds worth of damage caused by one hybrid vehicle having a run away catastrophic chemical chain reaction of the battery. Just saying....... I'll stiuck to my two stroke Quickly thanks. Great vid btw. :-)
