The residues happen even for acrylic paint. That's because of improper mixing and using more quantity than required.

I think when you mix the colors in the silicone cup first, then pour the red one came out perfect. You mix the food coloring in the mold, did not turn out right. Maybe thats the issue? What do I know! 🤷🏾‍♀️

I have done it with liquid food coloring and after a couple of months they change color, the blue looks like green, the red like orange... it is not a good idea and it looks very ugly, I would not recommend them. 😢😊
