The orange packet is called Elbagin Lee. It’s fantastic as a calming and bacterial treatment. Like you I love to get things like this whilst in Japan

Looks like a form of Venturi to me lee (11:40) free air from return to pond.
People stopped using them in the uk as you need a large pump to supply them and the electricity cost is higher
@@shaunmiller291 I run one now from a oase eco max 12000. Don't need a high power output pump.
I run an ea 20,000 varipump at 50% gives my Venturi a good return, running cost is low plus no cost for an air pump
