This looks absolutely amazing! Better than flex. I don’t know what modern style did to humans, they don’t care about classic designs and call them outdated!

I have the Flex and just got a pair of these last week while they had an Early Black Friday discount. The bass is slightly more defined and the soundstage in stereo mode is wider on the Soundlink Home. They might get a tiny bit louder too. Finally they look light years better even if there's no outdoor resistance to any type of dust or water. I am going to keep them.

Bose started getting lazy when they stopped making big speakers for the home.

I get it, I have the flex but never like how it look like cheap plastic in my home decor. Glad bose made the soundlink home as it will look better in my home decor, thanks bose

The Soundlink Home is more stylish and far better looking than the Flex. It's not even close.

  • @cunawarit

The design is impressive-miles ahead of the SoundLink Flex. The Flex has a rather unattractive design, whereas this model looks so much more stylish that the two aren’t even comparable. I’d be more than happy to have a couple of these permanently on display at home, unlike the Flex.
The lack of app support isn’t a major drawback. If I can stream from a Volumio node to a pair of these in stereo mode, I can seamlessly integrate them into my existing setup without any hassle.
Well done Bose, I hope this becomes the Bose design language for most of their range.

It's a matter of opinion, I prefer the look of the Flex / Flex 2 over this. We go with what works for us.

@edcipriani8873 I love our new Flex 2, but it's an ugly duckling. Perfect for camping, a tool to listen to but not look at.

@@cunawarit - I get it, this new Bose SL Home is better looking than the Flex and has a much more premium upscale look to it.
I bought the original SL Flex about 2 years ago in Stonewood Blue. I like how durable the speaker is and I've always liked that color. I also own the 1st Gen Marshall Emberton in gold and black as well. Many people don't care for the look of Marshall speakers, I really like the distinctive and unusual appearance.
I tend to go for the different and non-conventional. I also own a pair of Harman Kardon Soundsticks II from about 15 years ago, that is one of my all time favorite speaker systems and it still works great. People walk into the house and many times they ask what the weird looking SS are. It's great to see their reactions to them.
And no, am not a 22 year old with blue hair, and massive nose piercing. And there's nothing wrong with that by any means.

    • @cunawarit
      @cunawarit 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@edcipriani8873 I'm with you on the Marshall's look, I love it! I also understand that they are not for everyone, I showed one of my kids the Marshall range, and they insisted they would rather have a Flex.
I also like unconventional looking speakers, and I'm not pink haired or pierced. I'm, in fact, middle-aged and pretty average looking. Cambridge Minx 22s, I love those weird little speakers!

@@cunawarit - Holy crap I just looked up the Cambridge Minx speakers, those are so friggin' cool! Did I mention that the better half keeps telling me that I do not need to buy any more BT or wired speakers? He's such a damn buzzkill!

I love the design. Ur trippin. The sound is very crisp. Sounds better than the flex IMO. Of course its not waterproof. Its made for the house and designed with fabric. Its not being lazy. Its abour the nice design. I personally dont need all the gimmicks. I dont throw my speakers in water. I dont need kiddie lights. Its a beautiful design, now let the copy cats begin.

Hey, you could learn a lot from old people. I prefer "Chronologically Superior" versus old. I'd rather be categorized as Old than Young and doesn't have a clue - and buy some JBL junk that has over-exaggerated bass which tries to compensate for harsh highs and muddling mids.
Or young and foolish - and continuously buy Beats products because of their marketing and brand association, not realizing that Beats are overpriced and overhyped.
